  1. Like everyone above has said, if it was a true recall, then it should be preformed for free, and if the dealer charges you, then call Honda themselves and you'll get paid back for it. If it was only a TSB, then unfortunately you're pretty much stuck with the bill. If you give me the VIN, I could probably do some research tonight when I get home from work and see exactly if it were a recall, or just a TSB. Oh yeah, for someone else's question about whether or not a recall service had to be done at only a Chevy dealership, or any GM dealership. The answer is any dealership, as long as they know of the recall, then they should be able to do the work. Kinda like me having to go to my Chevy dealership for the passenger's side mirror on my '99 GA when I had it.
  2. Yep, its all in how you take care of them.
  3. PB&J
  4. LOL, that sounds like the Bill Engval approach to boys vs his daughter.
  5. damn, 175 for the water pump....now THAT is high, even if you're paying full list price for the part.
  6. O2 sensors should be located in the exhaust manifolds, or in the crossover pipe connecting from one manifold to the other.
  7. Believe it or not, most Fords and cold-natured.
  8. I've already been joking with Amy about how I'm going to make sure that I will have the AR-15 by the time that Heather gets dating age. And I PROMISE that I'll be cleaning it when the "boy" comes over.
  9. My father-in-law currently owns five Opel GTs. I particulary like the little cars, but I know what you're all getting at too.
  10. Ahhh! The first teaser trailer. I'll be there!!!!
  11. I'm in agreement with everyone else. I'd see if there is someone that could help you through this predicament.
  12. I've seen stuff about this for about two months now, but its still good to see someone else mentioning it on here.
  13. 500 for replacing a water pump on a 2.2 is a bit pricey, but at the same time, I guess it depends on what kind of shop you're going to. Most of the time you're going to be looking at between 55 and 100 per hour labor-wise. Now of course, you've got the cost of a part vs what the shop is going to charge you "cost vs list". Although all and all 500 still is more than what I would pay.
  14. I like it. I've always been a fan of the TrailBlazer (as seeing the Tahoe as pointless since its a short wheelbase suburban).
  15. That sounds like a winner for Project Camino. You could always buy a crate 572 fuel injected mill and convert it to run on E85.
  16. There is always the possibility that they will. Of course they could also bring back another nameplate of yesteryear for a Chevrolet RWD sedan. The Bel Air. It seems that GM likes to revive names that they haven't used in a while, and they certainly haven't used the Bel Air name since the concept many moons ago, and besides, our beloved Impalas and Caprices all evolved from the Bel Air in the late 50s, so why not end the production of the Impala nameplate on a "good" note (face it, the W Impala, for all its flaws, is a good seller), and bring up something new, and exciting?
  17. It probably isn't. Oh yeah, there's also the tidbit that the front porch is about 18 years old to start with.
  18. at least great minds think alike.
  19. Good idea, REALLY good idea.
  20. I do too, and with the rain here recently it probably hasn't helped much.
  21. Well, I guess you have to think that most people are going to buy at least the extended cab mid-size bed trucks, so most reg-cab, long-beds are going to be for commercial or government-type work. Like me, I'd love to have a regular cab long bed (I just like having an 8-ft bed on a truck), but at the same time, I need room to put me, the wife, and the little girl, so I'll probably have to live with the extended cab, shorter bed (unless I can somehow order an extended cab, long bed).
  22. BIG upgrade....couple extra joists to run along the frame and new decking up top....I'm fine except for the HUGE bruise on my leg.
  23. saw a red BMW M3 get by a mid-90s Vette this morning, saw a gaggle of turkeys this afternoon in the woods, not much else though.
  24. At least everyone knows about it and its not a major failure of our beloved C&G
  25. When you fall through it! Or at least in this case when your left leg goes through the porch up to the mid-thigh. Well everyone I've seemed to have hurt myself. I'd come out of the woods this evening from hunting and was quietly packing my rifle away in its case on the front porch when CRAAAACK!!! and down goes my left leg through one of the boards on the porch. Looks like the reboarding and reinforcement of the front porch just got moved up a notch on the home improvement list...
