  1. Hah, me too...I get it Boy got some rhythm. Funny.
  2. TOO hilarious...and scary at the same time. People do think like that. Scary.
  3. Went to Staples, came out & there was a new red '10 Taurus SHO with Florida tags squeeze next to my Avalanche. Unassuming, yet also pricey turbo sedan. Like the looks and especially the 20" wheels and domestic Ford build. Then pulling out, a new black Maserati GranTurismo S beside me in traffic. Hot.
  4. The black beast Fleetwood is shined up and ready for sale at the dealer http://www.pointenj.com/VehicleDetails/656964343
  5. Green Accord Crosstour in trzffic...followed this one home from work. Still weird, but (again, punch me) interesting in person and more cohesive of a design than the messy sedan...
  6. Fo sho. They do. Awful. Clunky. Laser Blue...it's been in the '10 Avalanche brochures and such, I think, since the start and doesn't say anything about late intro, but I've yet to find a single picture or otherwise of one. Not a blue person, but a shade that's cool on trucks.
  7. Brown'ish new Porsche Panamera. Interesting. Not graceful and looks chunky, like a normal Porsche mated with a Cayenne. Where? At Starbucks, of course...
  8. Saw a little old guy puttering around in a new silver '11 Sonata Limited early Sunday morning, rear spoiler, temp tags & all. Cool lines. Works much more cohesively than the smooshed up new Tucson, with a similar theme.
  9. I WANT to see Laser Blue on a new truck...I've seen it on the '10 paint chips, but never an actual truck yet. Avalanche or otherwise. Seems to be MIA.
  10. Spent all day in Jersey today with my clear bra guy, having every conceivable piece they make a pattern for wrapped. Took FOREVER. Same 3M as I had on my G8, also done by him, but white is the most difficult because it shows every little fiber of everything if trapped under the film. But woo, GOOD stuff...all over...shouldn't get a chip anywhere for a very, very long time. Was a lifesaver on the G8 since day one, looking to be the same for the Av and it's huge tires. Did the hood, the fenders, the flares, the grill surround, the 3-piece front bumper, the mirrors, and the bottom 1ft of the body/rockers front to rear. Everything, again, they make a pattern for. It even made a new Porsche GT3 friend for the day...heh
  11. I know, I know...join the club... Works for me, so that's all that matters Even looking up old Z71 discussion, the "package" always was just suspension & other off road upgrades on top of 4wd, so the driveline is your additional choice beyond those bits. I like the lighter, less maintenance, better fuel economy one.
  12. Nice I left my Pointe sticker on for a while, I should have said, for the first few months then it came off too. The Atlanta dealer one came off my Av already, since it was peeling. And yes, nice truck. Just washed mine last night too. Got home, it was still bright and the white was looking crusty. Basic white can be a bit annoying to clean, but you can see the grime and just gotta keep washing. Shades of silver are still easier, but white is a classic.
  13. Z71 hasn't meant 4wd "only" since around late 2004. Everything is exactly the same, from suspension to skid plates to wheels, but no front transfer case to drag around. Think pre-runner type. Z71 always, technically, stood for special bits and suspension in ADDITION to being a 4wd truck, so really no difference. After trying a Z66 package on the last gen Avalanche with the look pieces, 2wd Z71 Colorados & Canyons then Tahoes, Suburbans and Silverados that otherwise had all the Z71 pieces became full models. I know it's sacrilege to some people, but remains a perfect idea for a lot of us.
  14. Hah! Lucy makes it better, but Kuntz is a common name where I'm from in PA. Owner of 2 dealerships, GM and Chrysler. Their logo, oddly, is Jesus fish too. http://www.kuntzmotors.com/ Never thought of it "that" way until I saw this...heh
  15. Exactly. And you know another thing right away suggested to me? Get the brushed metal center console cupholder part with a lid (like the Denali), from the Sierra All Terrain. A guy on GM-Trucks.com recommended it since it's the same trim. I like "mixture" vehicles. Leaving the stock open hole there for now, as I like having a big open spot to toss stuff. But we'll see.
  16. Awesome shots, Roger, awesome! I wish I had checked out that truck the day I actually spent at Pointe not long ago. Looks like it's in incredible shape, like honestly new, at least in pictures. Great. Catches my eye, for sure. Nice Pointe advertising too--I actually kept the sticker on my G8, because I liked them so much--wanted to advertise
  17. Wow, I had no idea the 'ole "GM Giant" had such a thing...that's not far from me either. Sad picture. I still don't know how that dealer, of so many others on Delmarva, got the axe (loan issues, aside). Okay, the loan issues were the problem, but still.
  18. It's always "for now" If it weren't, GM & others would be in trouble without people like us.
  19. Heehee...after the Corsa'd (and, well, SO much else...) G8, I'm trying to avoid mods at all cost. But it's SO quiet now, Corsa has called my name a few times. Resisting well. Somehow, I just like the quiet for now. Same for the intake. We'll see, in time. Other than the outside, the best part of the Z71 is the fully tarted up interior with heated, memory leather, Bose, and every other gadget BUT no faux wood trim. I don't like it and the 2-tone cashmere with the brushed metal look is my favorite--glad for '09 you could get the non Ebony based interiors like in the other models, too. The beige is seemingly rare with Z71's. Finally just got the Weathertech molded floor liners tonight & installed a bit ago. Awesome pieces, as always. Clear bra next. I feel so at home with such a big truck. So darn comfy. Latest average fuel mileage as of tonight is showing 17.1mpg after a weekend jaunt and 2 days of red light commuting. Nice. Thanks for the comments guys
  20. OMG. Different Philly news host this morning, on a repeat of the story, said "she's bringin' sexy back..." at wrap up. Then silence
  21. I still like our choice in colors (or lack thereof) most of all Picture shoot coming in time. Envoy meet Avalanche. ADD will continue, but like with my Av, I think we both now have something that checks off enough boxes on the "I've always wanted one" card to keep up appeased for longer than usual.
  22. I just watched the Philly news interview her. Crazy. And I quote "I don't believe in that whole being overweight leads to health problems and disease". Okay then. 550lbs now, ready to do more and take pictures and video for her site along the way. Money maker, shake it. She shakes all of south Jersey picking up a bucket of chicken though... The news reporter..."well, when we were there, she did have a little trouble getting around..." Nah. Never. http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/health/New-Jersey-Woman-Wants-to-Weigh-1000-Pounds_41018387
  23. Yellow Challenger R/T on the stand at the Chrysler dealer in Salisbury. Beautiful. Then to the front, the dealer went front plate bracket happy...rivet...rivet Today a filthy (been rainin'...) new Mocha Steel '10 Lacross CXL with temp tags. Parked next to an '08/09 Accord. Eck, what a HUGE difference...to the point you really see "you spent THAT much on THAT (Accord)...look at THIS..."
  24. Now it is your turn Mr. Seriously Come on now, make it 3, make it 3. Oh, and Roger & I have discussed our "new car itch" at length for some time now, but I think my flipping still beats his #'s by a long shot...hah... Overall, he lived up up to what may have been expected. Leased new GM after new GM, always had the eye to owning a Fleetwood, found the holy grail of one and at my recommendation, to go cheap (enough) and used, and see how it worked. It worked, but just wasn't him and didn't answer enough of the family demands. Happy Envoy
  25. Yep. 2 weeks in and I already don't know how I can go back to a car again. Had to move my mother's Camaro the other day and felt like it was eating me, yikes. Then again, she said the same thing after an Avalanche & Suburban, only to buy a Malibu and then Camaro. I miss having a car to romp around a little more in but this thing even corners well. Feel like I'm in a leather lined lounge and can see everyone and everything. It's great. It's only up further from here. Next (2 weeks and I'm saying next...) will be a Denali or Escalade something or other, years from now. Perhaps. Still adjusting to how much size & space I have as it is now, and that whole bed I've yet to even touch. There are so many continually hot new GM cars, however, you never know. Give me a few years. Weathertech floor liners should finally be in tomorrow, then clear bra wrapping everywhere on the weekend. Already at about 1200 miles and no issues, but for a weird quivering vibration that's bugging me. Had the wheels/tires road force balanced at the dealer and then checked again at a Bridgestone dealer who said they were GREAT, but the quiver persists. Annoying, but hopefully it can be sorted out soon, whatever it might be.
