It is! And it's still there...and I still want it! I think it could fit right in the back of my matching white Avalanche... Sad to see Roger's Fleetwood go, especially on trade, but glad he got to experience my great little hole in the wall of a dealer in way south Jersey and made a deal on a CPO Envoy like he wanted to have again. We're Summit White truck brotha's now, heh

Seriously. If only...

And the bigger, clearer Hulu version:

OMG. That made my night too. Love it. Can you imagine if something like it actually WERE a Ford commercial...well...in a little bit more PC way. "We make Hybrids too."

All the Synergy Greenies have just started arriving, so everyone should catch a glimpse of at least one soon. The fact that they're 1LT V6 cars only will limit them, but they certainly POP

The other interesting part about this truck. It's a 2009, but literally one of the very last handful to come off the lines after the truck production started back up, this one built 10/7/09. This was cool to me because a 2010 I drove at a local dealer was also built in 10/09 and even though a leftover, it was new enough to get the GM emblem deletion--took me a day or two to notice that on the doors. So it's old, but new. Works for me.

Yep. 5.3L with AFM & the 6L80E 6-speed auto. 2wd & 3.08 rear locker. Pretty much the "efficient" combination of all the options. Oh yeah, that thing after 73 cars I've still never done...hmm...

Holy Synergy!

The Hyundai's end up getting funky or just too many lines, but still work, then you see the Kia versions after...cleaner, crisper, less busy. That seems to be how it keeps going. 2 versions, both very different.
-
It is. Has some very "wow" lines, but looks smooshed and weird in other ways. It's an odd one. A good odd one, but an odd one.

For most, [email protected] I've had a Lutz response or two before...and it got me in touch with the GM of Chevy before, too. They tend to respond on Sundays, in my experience, but you have to understand how many other emails they get, of course

Bronze colored new '10 Hyundai Tucson Limited. Looks a bit smooshed, but hot lines overall, for a cute 'ute. Really stands out, for now.

Very true. I remember the Forester ads a few years back after one of the best ever offset crash results. They're not heavy, but they certainly have some structure in them. Complaints of quivering, rattles and other "loose" sensations in the latest gen of Foresters puzzles me, and would drive me nuts, but they remain popular and who knows.

I'm all screwed up. Stayed up too late, 2 became 3 in a flash (hah!), woke up at what I thought was 8:30 then fell back asleep and didn't get up again until 10:40'ish. Well, 10:40'ish on the clock...that I never re-set. Now it's after 12 and I'm just starting the day. DST only took away an hour, the rest was all me, but still...so behind. But it is Sunday...

Interactive Review: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS RS Manual
caddycruiser replied to Justin Bimmer's topic in Reviews
They're very cool. It's a shame GM couldn't get the light pipes across the same crease in the dash to work out for the first model year too, but we'll see in time. As now, on the doors alone it's such a cool detail. For as low, tight, etc. of a car as this seems, I'm amazed at how comfortable and easy to use one has been for my mother (Ms. fused spine lady, too), day in and day out. Shocked me after my Avalanche, but it's really a solid, quiet, comfortable BIG coupe that doesn't feel or look big, and has fun moves. And yes, like a lot of designs, the trunk is larger than it seems--I've seen some pretty amazing grocery packing in there, week after week -
Hehehehe... Clear undies come in handy, however. Well...on certain things.
-
Every time I take car pictures at home...there's something hanging on the clothes line out back Well, at least it wasn't undies again

Mr. Av was due for his full clear bra install all over the front, the mirrors, and down the side rockers (every piece they possibly make a pattern for) but I don't feel like spending all tomorrow in Jersey, more rain, etc. Pushed it back a week, I think. Have a 1st tiny chip to fix before too. Soon. Wrapping it soon. Since it was driven from Atlanta to me, already has 1200 miles on it in 2 weeks. Oh well. First vehicle I purchased an extended GMPP warranty for, so we'll see how much of it I use...I hope a lot. Still a big adjustment after nothing but cars, but I think I'm good now. Well, until I was on a back road and thought I could take the same dropping sharp curve with a bump mid-way at full speed...heh...actually could, but just scared me for a second. Beastly. After the Corsa, cold air intake'd, etc. G8, I'm actually enjoying the silence too. Never hear it, or only do so slightly. Purrrr.

...my new white beast of one If you followed my other long drawn out thread that went anywhere from taking over the lease on a 2nd G8 GT to buying a Solstice as a second car to leasing a new Outback, I was all over the map. But one thing remained solid. I ALWAYS wanted a big, luxurious truck and after years of my mother driving first an '02 Avalanche and then an '04 Suburban, there were none more than full size GM's that I wanted most. The Avalanche package really spoke to me, costing less than a Tahoe but being SO cool and adaptable, built out of a larger Suburban so killer ride quality and space, and a 5 seater. A BIG one. After shopping various 2wd & 4wd models, first mainly looking at 1LT's so I could get comfy cloth seats again, I spread my search out a bit farther and happened to find what I'd consider the "ultimate" Av for me, a loaded up 2wd 2LT Z71 (debated it, but I have no desire to drag around a transfer case up front 24/7 to use it once or twice) in white and tan. No matter what it is, my eye is always drawn to white & tan combo vehicles, and thankfully the dealer in Atlanta, GA that had it not only was the best I had dealt with via email but had the best price, sent me photos (that sealed the deal, right away) and a trade value on my G8 based on pictures & videos I sent them. Spent a few days figuring it all out, but after just emails and one phone call to the F&I guy, it was driven up to me on a Sunday and the G8 driven back. Love it. It's a beast. A big, silent, cushy, well handling, quick (not G8 quick, but after 2 weeks of adjusting to me, very peppy) truck that oozes luxury. I enjoy it. Not the canyon carver or 2nd & 3rd chirping monster the G8 was, but I feel more capable and less apprehensive driving this than the G8 and am actually enjoying it more, somehow. Really. Fought it for years, but guess I just really was a truck guy...much to the dismay & shock of many who know me and still can't believe when I pull up in this "fancy" (boss called it that) thing '09 Avalanche 2LT 2wd Summit White Cocoa/Cashmere Leather 3.08 Rear Axle (standard) Z71 Package (Specific exterior & interior trim, skid plates, 18" wheels, off-road suspension, rear locker) Rear Camera Luxury Package (Heated, full way power memory seats, power folding mirrors with signals) Sunroof Roof Rack

Another from today. Coming up to a red light, in the rain, saw this. WOW, do these beauties stand out in traffic. Just stunning. Buick needs more like this, as does all of GM. I love new GM's that just "pop" at you in traffic. And then at Wawa, walking out the Pepsi guy looked at me and said "nice parking there...heh" and I saw the Silverado front in a parking space, back on the curb. As I said "eh, he probably didn't even feel it". As I was pulling out, it was an old guy buying milk. Of course.

Driving back home from Salisbury, MD around noon and on back roads, a new red Honda Accord Crosstour passed me. Gangly, for sure, but it actually...punch me, I know...looks like a nice package. Oddly, the shapes and such work better together than the cobbled mishmash sedan Accord look. Then on the same road, it was like a GMT-900 parade. Me in the Av, with 3 new Silverado's, then a Denali, then a Tahoe LTZ, then Suburban LTZ in a row all going the opposite direction. Nice. I like being just a little bit special in a Z71 glitzed up Av. Hottest trucks on the road. Last night passed a Linen Gold '10 SRX with the 20" chromes. Awesome look. The biggest part to note, vs. another 1 or 2 I've seen, Cadillac NEEDS to stop doing horrific silver painted, gaudy and cheap looking base and mid level wheels. A "typical" SRX with the standard puke-worthy silver wheels almost ruins the whole look of the vehicle, in a way the upgraded machined and chromed larger wheels make it sizzle. The gold one with chromes looked so crisp, modern and cool leading a string of average other random-ness behind it.

I'm a huge Subie fan after having the '96 Legacy around for a while, and the new Forester always caught my eye. The downfall, odd or not, is what some reviews have continued to say recently about the latest one not just for noise but a structure that feels gooey with some shivers & noises. Not something you expect from a new vehicle, but I read it again & again. Mechanically and otherwise, they're strong, but that is just bizarre for a latest & greatest redesign. Then there's the turbo engines imploding (yikes, did Subie have some nice warranty bills there lately...) but the standard boxers are as good as always. Then you have the new Legacy/Outback, which although the Legacy sedan looks like a turd, the Outback is great. More refined and solid than the Forester, now pretty tall itself and I think with more room. They're a great package. Definitely not the same presence as a cute 'ute, but a nice burly "in between" wagon like nothing else. Beyond that, from what I've experienced in a co-workers '10 Escape XLT 2.5L 4WD, it's at least really strong on the snow & ice and seems to claw itself around pretty well. The guy who drives it complained "but it's not that good...can't lock it in real 4wd like a truck", but he bashes the daylights out of it over everything and it remains solid and connected over the ice, snow, etc. Then the latest GM Theta's, not sure. I'd assume it's another good AWD system, especially with Stabilitrak at the helm, but probably the most pure on road water/snow/ice oriented of all of them. That's not a bad thing, they're just the most on road luxury of the group.

Orange Lotus Elis first thing yesterday morning, covered in dewy frost. Really stood out on the road. Then last evening a maroon-brown new Bentley Continental Flying Spur, as I was cruising down to Bethany Beach.

Sometimes yes. Keys in the ignitions? That's a whole other case of pure stupidity Went for a drive at lunch today & decided to stop at Home Depot. Pull into the turning lane & what's sitting in front of me? Carbon copy twin '08 Avalanche Z71, but in steel blue. Gave each other the nod. Then looked across the road and saw Camaro-a-plenty...wow, all of a sudden inventory is actually becoming inventory. Like rows of them. Good thing the local dealer likes to order bleh combos, for the most part, they'll be there a while...heh. Also followed a Sport Red '09 G8 V6...never see them when I have one...trade it away, and there they all appear.
