TEMPLAR, 1920 That Maserati Mistral is gross... ugliest car in the form of a Gran Turismo I can recall seeing in a long time... & is this thing a hardtop?

So, I'm thinking radical thoughts
Dude.... do NOT get rid of your tools... whatever you do tools are sacred. If it was me, as far as the hawks I'd put one of them on ice and call it my retirementn fund. Just stuff it into the corner of the garage and pretend it does not exist. Stabil for the fuel, remove the battery, put jacks under the car's four corners and some moth balls under the seat. Lots of people got bored of thier low milage COPO 69 Camaros back in the mid 1970s and sold them off for $1000 - $3000, must kind of hurt now in 2006 when they'd be worth at least ten times that. Even after inflation and storage hassles the best thing to do with the Hawks is keep 'em, at least ONE of them. :twocents:

Toyota Camry Dual Cowl Phaeton
Just food for thought, this si not exactly very scientific but it does prove a point: why bother with B-pillars when push come to shove they're all pretty weak... I do not beleive a B-pillar saves lives more often than sheer luck does. http://www.crashanalysis.com/crash_test.htm

Jeep Trailhawk & Chrysler Nassau
They're not t-tops.. just long sunroofs. T-tops only work on cars with frameless door glass and removable roof sections that leave behind only ONE central roof support.

For the record: LaSalle was meant to bridge the ever growing gap between Buick and Cadillac. LaSalles (esp. V12s) are embraced by many Cadillac collector clubs... so you;re right in that sense but it's not a rebadge job of either Brand as much as a hybrid of sorts IMO. Marquette would have been a better comparisoon though, you're right. QUATTRO, Audi rally car

CTS may spawn wagon, coupe
Agreed Balthazar! Tahoe/Escalade are NOt the same truck. Esp. in an era when Honda can have a separate division of separate "models" which basically consist of nothing but Accords & Civics & Pilots with slightly less ugly styling and the Honda emblem turned upside down. VP07: Your enthusiasm is great, however a 1958 Plymouth fury is very rare and expen$ived collector car... a 1958 Plymouth 4dr post sedan is not a big money car but the Fury IS. Esp. since Christine is such a cult classic.

Nissan unveils Rogue CUV
Sixty8panther replied to DetroitNut90's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)I'm not sure how many of you are sick to death of hearing from me about 1950s Hardtops... but it must feel a LOT like I feel about modern interiors. 99% of the time I just do not care.

Technophobia - are new cars TOO much?
TRUE. I voted "Yes, most of the new technologies are offputting" BUT... I think DOD & AFM are fantastic. Smart Airbags? Sure! Fly-by-wire for simple functions like throttle: NO! Coil packs: YES. Camshaft-LESS timig systems: NO! Navigation & XM: Sure... iDRIVE: NO. Also another thing that annoys the $h! out of me: idiot driver aids that can not be turned off. My STS has traction control & stabilitrack but if you want these systems off all it takes is the push of a button.

That Frankentruck commercial while cheesy, is a million times cooler than any modern toyo-DUR ad from the past 20 years. That makes sense since their ads and their PRODUCT have been getting more and more lame over the past quarter century. I'd take a low milage Cressida over any new Avalon.

Olds name comes down. LSJ
I want to see but the link is dead for me too... EDIT: thanks for the fix Proto66. What makes this so damn gut wrenching & depressing for me is that it's even the same font as the emblems on the leading edge of my Super 88's hood & trunk. I think a moment of silence is appropriate here.

Anyone here like classic pickup trucks & tractor trailers? http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/wallawalla2003.htm P.S. A co-worker of mine has a mostly original (inline-six, 3-on-the-tree) 1952 International pickup she MIGHT be selling for her brother.

Forget that... I know where there is a red 1988? SHELBY edition Dakota for sale. You'll have to travel to the crack-whore section of Meridian Connecticut though.
