  1. Cool, I'll add you later tonight. =)
  2. UNIMOG, Mercedes
  3. "Yellow Brick Head" looks to be a more uptight "square" version of Pac-Man.
  4. Yup, it's a great issue. Also in the permanent TIGHT WHIP'S literature collection, along with my '77-'84 Datsun Maxima/810 Haynes manual. Anyone seen this yet? I must have missed it if it was posted. http://www.jalopnik.com/cars/gnx/
  5. Thanks guys... when I have a minute at HOMe I'll look into your instructions. I appreciate it. BTW: My phone is an MP3 capable Razor.
  6. Agreed. Even this awkward looking concept is better than nothing, maybe it'll spark off and ignite the 2+2 RWD affordable sports-coupe trend. We can all thank the not so great looking 1964 Mustang for what it brought us GM fans: the 1967 F-bodys. Besides, I'd rather buy a goofy looking RWD than a gorgeous one with Wrong-Whee-Drive. Above all else, my biggest pet-peeve if FWD.
  7. Well as far as the nose, I love that piece of styling. It always reminded me of 1974 camaro more than any Buick but I know what they were going for: YES! Anything over $1500 and it better be a RWD, hardtop, V8, BOF landyacht... Anyrthing above $4000 & it better be a 1959 Buick/Pontiac/Dodge/Plymouth something-or-other or a 1931 Pontiac [ex-Argentenian taxi cab]. Ahh-Ruuugggga~!!!
  8. Saddly, yes I am aware of this trend. Proof positive that just when you thought it could not get any worse: (rice) you shoot yourself in the foot. I prefer rice over this becasue it's at least enjoyable to see HondAcuras get chooped up and destroyed under a torch & sawzall. These cars do not deserve to be molested and cut up. I'm teling you, supidity IS a dominant gene.
  9. Awsemo would like some cheesy-poofs.
  10. see... already I feel like a prick for leaving out KnightFan. Sometimes it feels like I've already met him anyway, his persoanl tour of his M.C. collection makes it feel that way. Also: CadillacKing & Variance, Charger4u...
  11. Say what? ...the Lotus elan has been rebadged? 1909 Locomobile
  12. XP: Take your own advice: "Don't HATE... appreci-ATE!" It's a Buick, and a cool one at that. Tthe N-bodys were a great attempt to spice up styling on otherwise bland mainstream cars of the masses. The Grand Am, Skylark & Achieva all looked quite different and yet they shared more than many cars from the 90s that you'd think were absolute twins in every department. I think the new Ford tripplets and the last VW Jetta look like they're the same damn car from profile and they have no excuse. I loved these Skylarks... "love it or hate it styling" always beats "Camry bland" anyday. Too bad they were FWD, these cars looked sharp IMHO. Plus Honda copied the rear on theor Accord ten years later, so they were ahead of the curve.
  13. Another popularity contest... Well XP715 & SpeedingPenguin do not count since they were both already my friends BEFORE I ever convinced them to join C&G. Besides the last time I saw them was at the impromptu Dec. 18th TIGHT WHIPS meeting in Nashua, NH. I've also already met (in real life) 5 C&G members who I had never met outside of our threads on the C&G forum. 1. Balthazar (I think he axe murders Prius drivers in his garage) 2. GM1 (typical warm German hospitality) 3. Camino (crashed on his couch...) 4. Burhan, or as I call him Bur-Han-Solo (twice) 5. BatmanVW (twice) 6. O.B. (drove like 115 miles out of my way to meet this funny dude!) That having been said here's a few others: 1. WMJ 2. Harley Earl 3. JamesB 4. FlyBrain (we may not always agree about cars but I too love aviation) 5. CapriceMan 6. Hudson 7. NOS 8. !!!TED!! 9. Moltar 10. YellowDart 11. F-Body-Father 12. LosAngeles 13. ZHawk ...and I can think of many more but I'm already over double the 5 person limit
  14. I can not dislike a 4dr ragtop... this is very cool. Agreed with OB abotu the headlights though.
  15. All good quotes, but since we're supposed to be making people guess them in this thread here's one from one of my favorites. ~ "A Datsun? ...a Datsun!?" *looks speechless* ~ "Yeah, you think they'd at least have a Cadillac..." Name the movie:
  16. Looking good... conservative but a far cry from the Camry and besides it's what's under that plastic/metal skin that counts. Viva la Pushrod V8s!
  17. Hey I got those for you and gave out compies to everyone at the last TIGHT WHIPS meeting. Auburn
  18. rotors
  19. fixed "vent windows" are lame!
  20. thigh highs
  21. Y-Job, Buick
  22. I forgot all about this concept... I thought you were refering to the '80s rampage which probably came with a Mitsubishi made HEMI, even those were only four cylinders. If they make a transverse mounted 5.7 HEMI powered truck it will be the biggest POS ever from Mopar. Chrysler can not make a trans- mission that will hold up for more than 40,000 miles in a 110 horsepower Dodge Caravan... so how the hell will this do in terms of durarbility & longevity?! That is honestly one of the STUPIDEST ideas I have ever heard in my life. Just buil dthe truck off the LX platform if you want it "car-based". That chassis is already equiped to accept AWd and the HEMI.
  23. Nissan Maxima?
  24. "I'm in a glass case of emotion!"
  25. I was waiting for KF to be like a 1991 Monte Carlo??? WTF did someone super-glue a Knight emblem onto the trunklid of a Beretta or Lumina Euro 2dr sedan?
