  1. CONGRATS! I love it, everything including the color! Dude.... you did not care about the E85 package? That's the most important option on this car... it makes a huge differance in the ability to launch the car and control acceleration. G85 is the ONLY option that I wanted over a SS/SC. In a perfect world you'd be able to order a COPO Cobalt, a stripped out base coupe with the blower, manual trans and big wheels but no spoiler or "body kit" and the G85 standard. Eitehr way it sux you went FWD. Money aside in the end I could NOT bring myself to make a fat car payment for a FWD car. It's against who I am and everything I stand for, if you can't be true to yuor principles what good are you? Por kid will never live that down.
  2. Clayton Bigsby was the name. I loved the gangsta-wannabe guys in the Mustang: "dude did he justv call us ni&&ers??? ...AWSOME!"
  3. While I agree that he needs to stop beign a whinny b!tch and twisting around certain details, he makes some very intersting points. Yes, agreed 100% The SIXTEEN should have been aproved for limited production, like 700-1000 or so units, the day it was shown at the 2003 auto show. If GM does not build that car, exactly as shown in concept form then they're just &@%#$ing stupid. If someone offers you $10,000,000 for something you can mass produce for about $500,000 and you do not take it as a sign from above then you're just plain dumb.
  4. If Honda made a BOF, V8 powered hardtop it would most likely still be FWD, ugly as sin and the sheet metal would be made of aluminum foil & dental floss just like all the other 'tin cans' they make, thus I would still be mostly repulsed by it. But in some bizzaro world, if the 1996 Caprice Classic wore a Honda badge but was otherwise unchanged I'd still love it.
  5. Some angry cars look awsome! (not this Mitsu-Bitchy though)
  6. HAHAHAH I did not read Aaaa's post before. Great minds think alike.
  7. Bob-Trina: Yes... I've "sold out" and am doing the 9-5 again. Well, 7:30-4:00 technically. Business was very up-and-down and a great job opportunity fell into my lap. I miss doing the semi-stay-at-home dad thing & Sofia is having a bit of trouble adjusting too but it's all for the best in the end. I work in accounitng now. *shudders @ the words* I was just pumping my "guns". I'm not sure if you heard me but I did over a tousand...
  8. I've been disgusted by relegion for a while now... it's full of hypocrasy and causes much more harm than good. I'm all aout spirituality and karma.... relegion is about $.
  9. Fuc*ing hypocrites. "We're all about our principles of FWD and small 4 cylinders & V6s" except when the world wakes up to the superiority of RWD & V8s. ...then we'll jst jump on the NEW bandwagon. Loosers.
  10. XP is harsh but I have to say he makes a good point.
  11. I honestly do not know if I will ever keep a car that long. Sems like the Tight Whips tradition is to change 'em like underwear... I remember when we went to pick up XP's '71 Cadillac and he said "this is the one... I'm keeping this one for a LONG time..." and three month later he's flipping it for a '67 Razorback. Give it about 4 more months and I'll have a 1959 Buick or perhaps some 1930s Pontiac or Buick.
  12. Very cool. Love it, esp. since it's a stick.
  13. I also posted this in my "random & misc." thread... it is by FAR the coolest way to impress, confuse & blow people's doors off! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-Dodge-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  14. Looks mean but ugly... like as if it was the bastard child of a Volvo C70 and a Acura TSX but it had a few birth defects that made it disfigured.
  15. very, very cool. I'd like to get another Suburban myself... I had a 1990 Chevy Suburban for a short while in 2004, after I sold it to some young kid down the street it ended up rolled over & in a police impound yard as evidence... I got told the details were on a need to know basis. My next Suburban will probably be a '50s PLYMOUTH Suburban.
  16. A ZR1 for $35K? not too many around for that price! How about this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1959-chevy-...1QQcmdZViewItem + $33,XXX to restore it with. A BiTurbo 572, IRS, 6-speed and tube-chassis frame would be nice.
  17. yes.... & a tie-breaker, if needed will be the mother of all trivia questions!
  18. Ever seen a 1958 Dodge Viper, body by Windsor? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-Dodge-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  19. And we have a winner! For the record that particular Atlas motor is an I6 out of a Trailblazer, as for the BMW motor all you had to say was inline-6 from a modern 3/5 series. Now as far as the Austin it does have a dark past.
  20. 1964 Oldsmobile Super 88: EXACTLY 6 months as of today. 1984 Datsun Maxima: Just about 1.5 years. 1997 Caillac STS: Just over 4 years. (Please buy it! $1300 o.b.o.) 1997 Infiniti Q45: Since April of 2006, about 8 months.
  21. Yup... the Saturn CV1 is the 2nd coolest Minivan concept ever. The first being that formula one inspired renault from the 90s.
  22. Balthazar: The upper left is not very hard... it's a modern day slant six DOHC with shorty headers right from the factory. It is made by a manufacturer that does not beleive in V6s or FWD, which IMHO are very admirable principles to uphold. Shifting gears, the lower left motor it's out of a very unique "luxury sedan" that featured a rear mounted motor (obviously with RWD) & up front it had three or more headlights depending on the model year. It is air cooled, OHV and so small it would make a BOP 215 look like a deep skirt big block by comparison. Now as far as the "blue bucket" it exists today as a dark symbol of ritualistic suicide as a means of creating positive political change to stop oppression and violence.
  23. Well.... I spent HOURS working on question 58 and I'm just in a hurry to get this one answered. It's real simple: 3 motors & the blue econobox or all four motors and you've scored. All is fair in love, war & Tight Whips trivia. #58 will be the greatest question of them all!
  24. Yeah it's a classic and it is wicked funny.... esp. the whole "bring your wife, we'll fu** her too!" but I too always crine at the B-body being portrayed in a bad light. I know it's a joke but any kind of hate towards the B-body makes me irritable.
  25. Wow... great photography CaddyKing... BTW I was not on AIM the other day when you said hello, my computer restarted & it logged into AIM automatically when I was not there. One of these days we'll talk again & catch up on things. The Equinox looks dowright mean and the Excelero looks as cool ever... the profile is still the best angle. The best thing about this concept, as much as I love it is that it's so very reactionary to the SIXTEEN. It's just a B+ attempt to one up the nicer & more elegant Cadillac.
