  1. A vehicle like this: chunky ass designed to carry a lot of weight on top of the rear axle, should be RWD & REAR -biased-AWD. No amount of marketing B.S. and/or manipulation of the laws of physics will convince me otherwise. The Tracker was a cheap-@ss basic bare bones cute-ute but at least it was built w/ RWD/R-AWD. Since we're talking about the survival of GM Nissan has a decent RWD-biased-AWD crossover & ALL the GMT900s are built as ALL trucks should be: R.W.D. & rear-biased-4WD.
  2. Variance: speaking of R Kelley... http://youtube.com/watch?v=dNC-3QlYI9I&sea...piss%20on%20you
  3. How about we find out about erotic asphyxiation and the proper way to solicit a crack whore in a made for TV Sesame Street movie, the Count can explain the dangers of sucking blood with today's era of HIV & Mr. Snufalupagus talks about the many fasceted risks of huffing Cheese Whip.
  4. Some random trivia I found online... very easy but a couple questions are half-wrong. http://www.arcamax.com/automotive/q-1054 -----
  5. It's already looking dated & it's been 5 hours since I saw it first. Then again I just can't stand 90% of "crossovers".
  6. Balthazar: That crazy guy was funny as hell... I forgot about that! Will Farrell does an AWSOME James Lipton on SNL. Remember when he made up a word because words failed to describe jis feelings adequetly... he made up "SCRUMTULESCENT"
  7. Looks like the front body kit got warped under a heat lamp. knowing that the M3 is all about torsial ridgidity I understand why it's not a hardtop but why not pop-out windows like in the 1970s at least?
  8. Name the first manufacturer to use Phillips screws to assemble their cars, as opposed to Slotted screws.
  9. So very true... Although you know it's been done a hundred times, aluminum engine cradle, tube chassis &/or subframe(s). Now that's using racing technology on the street! There's plenty of unibody $h!box Corollas/Hondas/J-bodys/Chevettes that have had V8s stuffed in (even BBCs) and RWD conversions where appropriate.
  10. Funny thing, I just looked at a 1995 Mercedes 300CE with 102,000 miles for $5,999 & the glass lined up perfectly front & rear. The new MBs are not as well built as the earlier (pre late 90s) ones before Benz got into marketing over ENGINERING. SpeedingPenguin came along wiht me to the SmokeShop and after we picked up a couple cigars I noticed a nice 1996 Fleetwood Brougham in a used car lot... I took a look at it popped the hood, and then bumped (litteraly) into the fender of this white Benz parked next to the Caddy, now I've been thinking about it every day since. I'd love to own that little I6 powered hardtop beauty. Balthazar: You're probably right about that... keep in mind on days Marcia is driving the Q45 I'm driving in a 1984 Datsun still.... the MB would be a more practical solution.
  11. No Thanks! Between the Ridgeline, Element & Pilot "trucks" then the sneaker shaped Civic Si... & new cab-forward Civics: Don;t forget the A$$cord.
  12. I absolutely LOVE the SRX, still if I needed a SUV for less than 5 passsangers I'd be tempted by the FX45.
  13. They're BOTH hardtops... TRUST me. I've seen them up close at NYIAS, saw BOTH WITH WINDOWS DOWN and even had a few interesting conversations with the Mopar & GM reps about bow critical it is to not pu**y out and make a fixed rear 1/4 window. I'm willing to bet the farm they'll do the right thing & make both true hardtops! If I'm wrong then I'll almost certainly own a used MB CLK500 in the next few years.
  14. DeSoto Pickup:
  15. Thanks Y.D., you just spoke the words on the Internet which means it's now inevitable.
  16. Stewart is funny & so was the UBS guy... How about the Lowered Expectations? Then there's always Kenny Rodger's PUNKED. That's a riot. ...oh & Miss Swan.
  17. It's nice enough looking inside & out but I'd never want a unibody truck like this: FWD/FW-biased-AWD with V6 power as the only motor & not to mention the transverse mounted motor/trans. The more SUVs they make the more I can't STAND them.
  18. AWSOME! [/sarcasm] Another FWD-car-based "truck" with a transverse mounted motor. Its styling is a strong B+ though.
  19. So the other day while bored but stuck at home in the rain I found this horrible flick "Snake Eater" on OnDemand. I watched it (unfortunately) and I can honestly say it's one of the cheesiest movies of all time. Absolutely horrible like a bad train wreck: it's terrible but you can't look away. It stars that great acting ledgend Lorenzo Lama(s) & some dude who looks like a stunt double for Kenny Rodgers. (or Will Sasso as K.R. on MadTV) To make matters worse I just found out there's a made for TV Miami Vice movie hitting theatres soon, Jamie Foxx is not even a bad actor, in silly comedies but not in a M.V. remake. Miami Vice is two things: a white 1985? Testarossa (with the F12) & Don Johnson. He's still alive for Christ's sake, remaking a 1930s movie or a show from the 1960s is bad enough but this is getting pretty damn reee-diculous.
  20. So like, anyone have the number for Satan? I'm willing to bet it ends with 666 and I want to give him a call so I can get my hands on the VERY 1st 5th gen. they produce. I wonder if my soul is worth all that.
  21. If you can deal with a 2 door unibody car check out the Lincoln Mark VIII from the mid to late 90s. (1993-1999)
  22. 4WD is superior to RWD yes.... that's very true, but 4WD is also just as superior to FWD. There is ONE and only ONE thing that is better about FWD in the snow versus RWD: getting going from a stop in low traction, and in this case it just lulls you into a false sense of security. What people would benefit from more than a POS FWD car is "doing the right thing", buying a decent RWD car and putting on snow tires when the time comes, & opting for traction control if they're shy about snow. There's no excuse for FWD. If you're too much of a sissy to drive RWD get an AWD car or 4x4 truck.
  23. Children breathe in oxygen and expel CO2 so they're not environmentally friendly therefore not worthy of the typical safety precautions. [/toyota-losophy]
  24. Razor: We wouldn't be building V8 Camrys & slapping on Impala SS emblems.
  25. "suburban 6 speed" this makes me think of something I'd love to put togeather mad-scientist style. Totalled Z06 + 1990 Subrban 2500 = 6-speed rear mounted trans. + 505 HP. Then I'd weld up the Corvette together redneck style and put the Suburban's scummy old 350-700R4 into it an I'd be off to the demolition derby.
