  1. Hey there Speedy: Appropriate nickname since these cars like to "coast" at 120mph. The car is nice the photography even better. I too am a sucker for interesting shots, low/high angle & macro shots. I've always prefered the 1992-97 body style but the more rounded smoother 1998-04 is not exactly bad looking either. The 98-04 has better looking more modern headlights but more importantly the lower front fascia does not sag & or break if you look at it wrong. I had (still have but not registered) 1997 STS & as a Chevy salesman I sold a gently used 1999 STS in silver to my G/Fs grandmother. All her life she wanted a Caddy but drove Plymouths, Chevrolets & after the B-body died, Panthers. She loves her STS... it's got like 78K on it. The crazy part is that even though she always wanted a Caddy the car she learned to drive on, a 1930s Packard 3-on-the-tree is probably worth more today than 2 new STSs. Oh & the guy who traded in her STS, he bought a electric blue Z06! WORD TO THE WISE: Never, ever, EVER pour anything other than Mobil1 synthetic, or at least an equivelant synthetic into that front valvecover. These cars were designed to run Mobil 1, they left the factory with Mobil 1 and if you do switch to regular oil for even one oil change intreval it will result in disaster sooner or later. The guy who had my STS before me did that and f***ed the car up royally. I'm at the point where I hate it cause it's FWD but even if it was not for that the car is a mess... it burns/leaks about a quart of oil every 100-150 miles. No joke.
  2. Forget topless Ninja Chicks... how about 3-boobed Chiks?
  3. NO!!! I'd almost rather see them merge with Honda or Toyota... so long as it's not a hostile takeover. Ideally GM would not merge with anyone but it would start to regain market share & they'd dump SAAB like a nasty habbit.
  4. I wish I had the ga$ money & time. I'd love to go otherwise!
  5. Hope it was a Toyota or Honda.
  6. What can I say.... Balthazar got me inot Pre-war COE trucks. I happen to prefer Chevrolets.
  7. WOW, good one.
  8. I'm sorry to hear that. So now low washer fluid & a burned out bulb are "problems"? I think most SAABs are lame but I don't think that the Sweeds should be required to provide "bottomless pit w.w.f. resevoirs" or headlight bulbs that never burn out. Maybe R.R. since their cars are overpriced by $150K -to- $200K each. hmmm... well... I like blondes with big t!+$. There's a thought for ya! :AH-HA_wink:
  9. Nope, it's not from the late 70s & it's not from the 80s. It's not the Aero 2000 and was not featured at EPCOT. No ties to Saturn, the EV1 or to bell bottoms... I'm pretty sure. Here's a quote: "...It has both petrol & electric motors, the petrol engine being used for constant speed running & the electric being used for moving off. The engines combine for acceleration." I'm confused... how is it a good thing that the XP list is not available now?
  10. UGLY. I was a big fan of the MkI "RETRO" MINI but this is stupid. It grew an ugly hump (butt) and the nose got extended in a most awkward way... looks unflattering to say the least.
  11. I think for the sake of public safety all Toyotas should be fed into a crusher like a corpse into a giant woodchipper.
  12. This will be an uphill battle... since I've read abotu this car in a BRITISH car book I've had mo luck finding out more about it on the internet or otherwise. It's very unknown. Too bad MIghtyMouse does not have his list up anymore.
  13. She's a hot milf... I'd b@ng her with NOS's d!c% and O.B. pushin' Hey, Ferris Bueler is tappin' that... so you KNOW it's good!!!!!
  14. YES! I nominate this man for a Nobel Peace Prize for suggesting that.
  15. Fly is right though.... Ford/L/M should have redesigned them, at least ALL the sheet metal in like 2002 at the latest. IF they were given a stylistic update, even a very conservative one, they would sell much better. The car has barely changed cosmetically in 8 years... and even then it was a half-hearted redesign. 1992-1997 same bodystyle. 1998-2006 same exactr bodystyle, very similar to the previous one. Hey Ford: don;t try to disprove the theory... it's true what they say: You can't squeeze blood from a rock. Trust me.
  16. I love it! Maybe I'll actaully make an effort, get off my @$$ and enter a chop this time.
  17. I do... in a general feel and poise it has a bit of PRE-Bangle Bimmer. (where you been LA?)
  18. EVERY VARIATION SHOULD BE OFFERED TO ALL THREE... CHEVY, BUICK & PONTIAC! Are you listening GM...? do the right thing for once please.
  19. Heard of 'em all... we haev primarily BJ's & Costco but there's a SAMs' or two as well in the area. I voted other because I'm not a member or frequent shopper of ANY of them but I used to buy a lot of Maist 1:18 cars at BJs as they used to be $9.99 back in the day! Prety good versus the $15-25 they cost everywhere else.
  20. Damn that was easy.... too bad I wasn't around. I wonder if the Cosworths were shipped hung like meat on a hook like the rest of the Chevy Vegas?
  21. You're not a Camry owner right...? Then you'll enjoy it here.
  22. Voted with the majority, this looks great. I think the rims are too Infiniti FX and not enough "Cadillac". NOS: Super-impose youself chillin' by the car w/ a popped collar.
  23. It had four wheels arranged in the normal pattern, one in each corner. No funny business with the wheels.
  24. Fly: ever see this photo? Talk about one of the cooest Aviation photos ever taken. http://www.the-rodgers.com/images/Tbird%20eject.jpg
  25. Razor: Look, I love drag racing and respect it as a completely different kind of motorsport than Formula 1 or American LeMans. As far as this so called "NASCAR" goes I agree... it sucks. It's not a real motorsport as most of the focus is more on the driver than the car. The term "STOCK CAR" is the icing on top of the proverbial cake of hilarity. I'd rather see gutted & roll caged Crown Vics, Chargers & Impalas duking it out on a circuit or roadcourse any day. Production based race cars are the kind I like to watch the most, plus it ensures that I get some cool technology in the trickle down method. That having been said a 2007 Corvette Z06 can and will kick a LOT of ass, cars that cost three times as much get their asses handed in production guise and on the track the C6R does pretty damn well against your beloved Ferrari, Jaguar & Aston Martin... or whoever. I think you need to read up on Max Balchowsky & "Old Yeller" if you don't beleive that a lone Ameriacn car built with junkyard $hit can embarass the best Europe has to offer. The Old Yeller cars (at least one & two) were built using junkyard parts and hand fabricated chassis laid out in chalk on the concrete shop floor and then driven TO and FROM racing events after the embarassed Jaguars & MGs at the track. They were powered by Buick V8s... like 401 nailheads no DOHC bull$hit. ---------------
