  1. Technically you're right of course but the answer I was looking for was ROYALE. An elephant for a hood ornament was appropriate considering the Royale weighed 3.5 tons! http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_41
  2. There's two of these things in Nashua, NH already... the ForTwo or what ever the hell it's called in the USA. I saw the white one yesterday.
  3. Some designs get better and better the more you see them... this is not one of them. In fact it looks more horrible than before!
  4. Good looking truck. 4.8 or 5.3? I wish they did not put the OnStar antena on the roof like that but instead built it into the regular one, or on the side widow like on a TrailBlazer or even the windshield like back in the day.
  5. It's growing on me already. If I was Jay Leno I'd have a custom fabricator (not Barris ) build me a 1957 Plymouth Fury oo a V12 one of these but leave the greenhouse untouched and the interior mostly reworked to look like a 50s car.
  6. The other day I developed a throw-away camera that I forgot even existed... it's from 2003. As you can tell by the photo my truck was used as a TRUCK... I broke off several sets of tow hooks getting it stuck and getting other people unstuck. Still miss this truck. 4x4 with 5-speed on the floor is a rare find in a 1991 SUV.
  7. I used to love modelbuilding as a kid... built more WWII planes than cars but all were fun. I loved making customs. I have a 1969 Camaro ragtop with a Lamborghini V12 as well as tail lights & some interior peices... Trans Am rims & an IRS. Also built a 1930s Mercedes "rat rod" The most annoying thing by far is accidentally getting a glue smudge fingerprint on a clear plastic piece, especially the windshield or headlights. Some day I will build that 1:12 scale 1969 Camaro I bought on eBay... not sure if it will be stock, a hot rod or pro-touring.
  8. F%&k power windows, to hell with AC being standard & screw having no manual option: as in with THREE pedals and a H-pattern shifter. I wish American manufacturers would still let the consumer decide what he wants or does not want instead of showing one option down our throats (power windows) while not giving us the options we DO want... 5/6 speed. Some stupid focus group decides that only 8% of people want a 6-speed in the XLR or STS so GM decides to offer 0.00% of those cars with a manual.
  9. Don't like the Charger's interior? Eh, way I look at it there's always some little thing to complain about but at least with a Charger my 3 most important objectives are met: 1. RWD 2. V8 option 3. Domestic
  10. HOw do you figure? They build half-a$$ed exotic cars with V6s, trucks with Front-Biased-AWD V6s & POS micro-cars better suited for Russia, their Acura re-badges suck as they try to compete with V8 RWD cars with FWD V6 ones and yet they keep settting their B.S. code of ethics down and then breaking their own rules. Attention World: Since we're trying to save the world we WILL NOT BUILD pickup trucks or full size SUVs... Then they re-badge the Isuzu Trooper & make the Ridgeline & Pilot off a minivan platform and try to say they're capable SUVs. Honda sucks plain & simple. I'd rather see Nissan-Renault steal the LS7 & Sigma chassis from GM then to see Honda kill the Zeta program and have GM start building FWD, V6 powered Cadillac DTSs.
  11. Correct Sir. So long as you line up and shoot every bean counter & cookie company executive in the ranks.
  12. Since I live in New England where salt & sand eat up cars like candy I'm going to do a winter & summer version for myself. SUMMER Mon.) 2003 Cadillac SIXTEEN (production version) Tue.) 1969 Camaro COPO-ZL1 Wed.) 1948 Tucker Torpedo Thr.) 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge ragtop Fri.) 1987 Buick GNX t-top Sat.) 1933 Cadillac V16 Dual Cowl Phaeton (triple red) Sun.) 1959 Buick Electra 225 Riviera WINTER Mon.) 1986 Lamborghini LM002 Tue.) 1983 Cadillac Seville "Bustleback" DIESEL (studded tires) Wed.) 1964 Rolls Royce with NO undercoating Thr.) 1987 CUCV Blazer (powered by a Ferrari V12) Fri.) 1997 Porsche 911 TURBO AWD custom (4 KKK turbos) Sat.) 1989 Mercedes 560SEC (2-dr hardtop) Sun.) 1984 Datsun 810 Maxima Twin-turbo 5-spd
  13. Type 41? Anyone who answers that Googled it.
  14. Those Headlights are a bit Scion tC... But f**k it, it's a 2dr hardtop and the greenhouse is BOSS! Besides, MB styling has a way of growing on you. A new Benz comes out ad you think "gross" and then a year later you see one and think "Wow... beautiful!". Great shot. What other car has been a hardtop for FIVE generations?
  15. Indeed. Very cool cars through & through. I'd love to see a 1959 Pontiac vs. 1958 DeSoto dragrace someday.
  16. Wow... interesting thread.... yeah, ummm.... NOS: Don't pop your collar down south, people just might get the wrong "message".
  17. Wow... I have to clean up a lot of puke now. Honda? VW? Fu$% that, GM has planty of econobox FWD cars already! Renault & Nissan would be better than most.
  18. Fly: I was going to say: why not black steelies w/ chrome center caps on the Mass Chargers? And yes, that's pretty bada$$, black is very flattering but why don't you guys have push-bars?
  19. This monstrous vehicle has a very unique hood ornament & is motivated by a huge inline eight motor that is nearly 13 liters in displacement, it features OHC with 3 valves per cylinder & 24" wheels. Its engine was also used in trains due to its low RPM grunt. Can you guess the vehicle?
  20. Not that I'd ever try to out run a State Trooper since a radio is quicker than any car but a Charger Statie is much more intimidating than a Crown Vic wiht a 4.6 Mod motor. Ford needs to redesign the Crown Vic. Keep it BOF, RWD & V8 obviously but put in the 5.4 so it does 0-60 in less than like 8 sec. otherwise these Dodges will eat up a good portion of the Interceptor Ford's sales. This thing is SICK looking in the Mass Navy-Blue & Battleship Gray combo.
  21. I'm a GM man first and foremost but there were also a few Uggg-leee Oldsmobiles, Chevrolets & even a few Buicks made those years as well. With the wrong color combo on a two tone car I think even a '58 Olds can look hideous. "Refrigerator Coil Grille?" Eh.... still better than the cheap, tin-like grilles on most Fords & even some Chevrolets those years. Styling is subjective.
  22. Even Toilet Seat Mopars rock IMO. I almost posted a 1960 Valiant 4dr until I realised that would support your argument not mine....
  23. I wholeheartedly disagree, but then again I think that 1st gen. FWD-G-body Oldsmobiles look like the Japanese versions of the '96 Ford Taurus except with Trans Am tail lights. Kidding... mostly. <--- less than a year left! BIG: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Six..._LINEUP_BIG.jpg another cool wagon: http://www.aswoa.com/wpeF3.jpg
