    RAM Releases New 2019 RAM 1500 Classic Warlock

      Ram brought back one of its classic trims from the 1970s for an update in 2019.


    Ram unveiled the Ram 1500 Classic Warlock edition, a take on the 1970s trim of the same name.

    The 2019 Ram 1500 Warlock offers buyers a well-equipped, factory customized truck at an attractive $35,345 plus destination charge.  The Warlock features a Ram Rebel style grille, front and rear powder coated bumper, 1" factory lift, black wheel flairs, Warlock decals, and an available sport hood.

    Powering the Warlock will be either the 3.6 liter V6 or the 5.7 liter Hemi-V8.  Both will feed power to the wheels through an 8-speed automatic.  Quad Cab and Crew Cab with the 5'7" bed will be the only configurations offered.

     

    The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock goes on sale in early summer 2019.

    February 14, 2019 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Ram Truck unveiled today the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock. The Warlock pays homage to the original Warlock pickups of the 1970s and offers buyers a well-equipped, factory-customized truck with unique style, capability and value.
     
    "The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock is proof positive that value never goes out of style," said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand, FCA. "With its sinister monochromatic exterior, award-winning interior and great price, this mean machine is certain to resonate positively with consumers."
     
    The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock features a black grille with bold R-A-M lettering, 20-inch semi-gloss black aluminum wheels, front and rear powder coated bumpers, 1-in. factory lift, black wheel flares, LED fog lamps, projector headlamps with dark bezels, LED rear tail lamps, black badging, tow hooks, unique hood decals, heavy duty rear shocks and an optional Sport hood. Warlock decals on the bedsides round out the package.
     
    Standard on the Warlock package is Diesel Grey cloth seating, ParkSense rear park assist and Ram 1500 Classic's Luxury Group that includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, overhead console, 7-inch cluster display, LED bed lighting and power foldaway mirrors. Customers can also add heated bench or bucket seats, an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with navigation, black side steps and a spray-in bedliner.
     
    The Warlock is available with either with the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 (305 horsepower /269 lb.-ft. of torque) or the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 engine (395 horsepower/410 lb.-ft. of torque) -- both mated to the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission -- 4x2 or 4x4, Quad Cab or Crew Cab (5-ft. 7-in. bed only) configurations.
     
    The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock is available in Blue Streak, Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Diamond Black, Delmonico Red, Flame Red, Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel, Pearl White and True Blue.

    Warlock History
    In 1976, the first production Dodge Warlock was introduced following the public's positive response to a pickup originally designed as an auto show concept vehicle. The Warlock was a factory-personalized pickup that could "play as hard as it works," according to the period literature, complete with bucket seats, "fancy wheels, fat tires," chrome-plated running boards, real oak sideboards and special gold accent stripes inside and out. Production ran until 1979.
     
    Ram 1500 Classic
    The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic boasts numerous segment-exclusive features in areas most important to truck buyers. Outstanding ride and handling is accomplished via a unique link-coil rear suspension. Other features, such as RamBox bedside storage, hidden bins and a flat-load floor, offer unique solutions for cargo. New "Classic" badging is located on the front fenders.
     
    The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock will be produced at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant (Warren, Michigan), which has built more than 12.5 million trucks since it started operations in 1938.

    Except the prices are minimally lower.  Believe me, I have left a lot of saliva on Ram door glasses lately.

    I like the fact that Dodge has not forgotten their past glories.  I wish it were available in a regular cab, short bed though, like the old one.  I would love that, even if they didn't spend the money to make it a stepside like the original.

    The cheapest I was able to price a new Ram 1500 was about $4k more.  Even then it didn't have heated seats.

    Well I am surprised how close they are in price, I mean the Classic is still nice, but obsolete.  The ones I'm seeing are only about $1k diff in MSRP, I am sure incentives are higher on the Classic.

    It's the option packages. I know you equip your vehicles fairly basic.  You get more options in the Classic than you do in the New for the same price.  The smaller/base uConnect is notably bad, so I won't consider any FCA vehicle that has it.  The Warlock comes standard with the 8.4 uConnect.

    • Something interesting is happening ... at least to me. We know ITA Airways is going from Sky Team (Delta) to Star Alliance (United).  That's because Lufthansa acquired that big stake in them. When you go scout out redemption options on United, there is very little crossing of the pond on Lufthansa's if you are going to Italy ... slim to none.  United carts you on the over-the-water segment and ITA takes care of the rest from the Italian gateway.   It's almost as if they picked up ITA to be a low-cost workhorse for them.  Between the mileage redemption flyers and conventional paying passengers, the ITA planes are sure to be (close to) full. However, I'd much rather be on Lufthansa than domestic United for the longest leg. Because they haven't still disengaged, ITA segments are still being offered up on the Sky Team (Delta, specifically) website.  There will be that overlap for about 2 to 3 more months, I believe. Fleets change, alliances change, etc.  Many times, change sucks.
    • So not everyone can read the WSJ artical, but to summarize it: Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors, is adjusting the company's ambitious electric vehicle (EV) goals due to a slowdown in market growth and changing consumer demand. Market Slowdown and Production Capacity Mary Barra has recently acknowledged that the electric vehicle market is experiencing a slowdown in growth, leading GM to revise its previous forecast of producing 1 million electric vehicles by the end of 2025. At a recent event, she stated, "We’re seeing a little bit of a slowdown right now... the market’s not developing as quickly as we anticipated". This shift indicates that GM is now taking a more cautious approach to its EV production timeline, recognizing that the anticipated demand may not materialize as quickly as expected.  Consumer Demand and Affordability Concerns Barra emphasized that GM's production decisions will be guided by consumer demand. The company is facing challenges related to affordability, as many potential buyers are hesitant to invest in EVs due to high prices and limited charging infrastructure. GM plans to keep its electric car prices between $30,000 and $40,000 to stimulate demand, but this strategy may strain profit margins due to the high costs associated with EV battery production.  CBT Automotive Network Political and Economic Pressures The EV market is also influenced by political and economic factors. Changes in federal policies, including the potential rollback of EV incentives, have created uncertainty in the market. Good CEO's adjust based on the market and political pressure all the time, so care to explain how this is any different than CEO's who are using Idiot47 and his clown administration to monopolize their profits? At this point, he is in for a rude awakening and I hope he gets what he deserves, a Blue wave that give total control of the house and senate to the democrats so they can impeach him and his lemmings.

    • You're president LIES to you     Canada is doing quite well DESPITE the tariffs.  How is tourism in the US though?  Do you need Canadian money?  I bet you do!!! Maple Maga from Alberta Pierre Poilievre is whining that PM Carney is wasting Canadian tax payer money on traveling. Yeah...Maple Maga lies also.  I mean, yeah, Carney is on a global tour, but he is securing trade deals with all kinds of different countries including China to possibly let in Chinese EVs. And military  talks. Canada is planning to ditch the F35. Maybe. Trying to see if the SAAB J39 Gripen is a good fit for Canada. Im willing to bet it is as its also waaaay cheaper to not only buy it, but also operate it as compared to the F35.  Sweden is also proposing to let Canada produce it in Canada in exchange for Canadian steel to sweeten the deal.  If Canada decides to forego the F35, it will be a HUUUUUGE blow to the US.  For many reasons...   Only problem with the SAAB is that Canada is used to having US defense intel integrated with our military hardware.  But Trump is screwing with that.  It may be time to decouple from the US. But this is why Carney is talking with Sweden, Norway, the UK, France and Germany about taking over NATO WITHOUT the US... To re-integrate ALL of our military hardwares and softwares NOT to be linked with the US.  Read up on it. Its fascinating how quickly the US is dissolving.  A decision is going to happen in October I believe about the F35 purchase or not.  Canada  scuttled a US submarine deal earlier this year.  Its either Germany or Norway to get our contract.  Decision to come soon.  I repeat, the US is quickly becoming a paper tiger.   I suggest you guys read up on global affairs regarding your country.  You may need to oust Trump as quickly as you can.
