Tesla To Only Offer Two Configuration Options For Model 3 Launch

 This is just way to freaking funny. I have coworkers who are all things Tesla and are excited for their AWD Long range battery Tesla 3 rather than buy an S model with those features.

This is going to cost Tesla as I suspect those that were expecting to check the AWD and larger battery option will end up rethinking their options. Wonder how many will cancel their order?

I want one at some point, but it will be 5-6 years before Tesla is financially stable, if ever, and the demand dies down...

I think he just wants to placate his suck ups in silicon valley first.

In April of this year, Teslanomics reported, based on 811 reservation holders who gave budgets, that the ATP would be between $45-55K "after upgrades". Musk stated last year that the average transaction price would be $42K.

Most people have been theorizing the higher pricing would be necessary to come close to breaking even on the Model 3. Now they all roll out the door at base price with no optional upgrades. Not only will this be a downer for those hoping for a nicer car, it must absolutely kill the bottom line for the Model 3. This is the vehicle that will make or break Tesla.
