They aren't coming to Vancouver, BC

Figures. Axl's head carries a huge bounty on it up here. There are plenty of former fans here who'd just love to hacksaw his spine, open his skull, and have a Axl Rose Skull Keg Party at GM Place.

So, whats the deal with Axel ? I havent kept up. I know about the touring with Metalica and blowing off shows but that was.....14 years ago ? I know I heard he got fat, but I also heard he was a heroin addict, fat and heroin in the same sentence dont sound right. So really whats the deal ?

Besides all the Yi, yi, yi's, he was actually an excellent vocalist and involved in performing some timeless songs.

Supposedly these guys are much improved over their previous ill-fated tour, which should be good for their image should a certain album come to fruition.

However, this is Axl's solo project and a little overpriced at that. I just couldn't imagine paying 60 bucks and not see Duff McKagan rip into the opening bassline of "It's So Easy!"

As for this incarnation, I'd be much more willing to check these guys out if I actually had a (likeable) Chinese Democracy album in my iTunes. However, if you don't share my cheesy-fanboy point of view and you have the means, plunker down and see what Axl and his hired guns can do. After all, there's not much excitement going on in hard rock these days...
