$50 paint job...

Featured Replies

ive read about it alot on Stevesnovasite.com and in a recent HOT ROD article.... as long as you have the patience and lots of time... why not.? but theres a LOT of sanding and MANY thin coats to make it work... if you try it, keep us updated!

im on the fence...i have the time but i dont have a sheltered place to do it. A guy did a 66 corvaire in his driveway outside. he just sanded of bugs and stuff. Some paintjobs I've seen with this method look not so great but some look incredible.

I might try it out of curiosity if it was some piece of $h! I didn't care about, but if I wanted a show car then I'd just pay to have the car painted properly.

I have $800 in the bank to use on the car. So if this costs $100-150 to do, i Have $650 to redo the headliner and I already added up $200 in stuff to order from a classic buick parts site. so thats over $400 for a mechanic to install a new fusebox and fix the sticking breakpedal...My parents are willing to invest 1000-2000 into the car if absolutelly necessary..but I have to use my money first.

I already bought "stick on" chrome for the trunk where the clips have broken and the chrome is all dented up anyway. I dont need an all original car...If I sell it...the selling point will be the engine. And I don't plan on selling it anytime soon.
