Middle east Zeta Impala, and lumina

Featured Replies

So we have a couple of vehicles over here that are not avalible in the united states.

first of, i'll start with the zeta impala, i wish i had pictures to show you, but it looks confused between a current impala (rear looks the same as current gen including tail lights.) and the front doesnt really know whats going on, has the same side profile almost as the g8, and front lights look like bug eyes, not so pleasent. didnt really get a chance to look it over as i was driving by on a bus.

the lumina, looks to be on the epsilon, looks kinda similar to the 08 malibu, but it looks like it wasnt given the same refinement as the malibu, although the tail lights might be a good replacement for those who dont appreciate the malibus tail lights. to me, the lumina looks like the 08 malibu, and the hyundai sonata merged, if you could imagine.

guess i'm done ranting... but i'm glad the states gets higher quality vehicles then they do here.

The Lumina is effectively the same as the G8, or its earlier Commodore predecessors (Holden even uses the badging on special value models in Australia).

I didn't know there WAS a zeta Impala in the Middle East.

I didn't either. I thought they only had the Lumina and the Caprice. Pics please.

Looking at the Chevrolet Arabia website, I see the Zeta Lumina and Caprice and CR8 (CSV model). The Lumina is the Commodore/G8 equivalent.

For those who need reminding this is considerably bigger than the Impala, and almost exactly the same size as a Lucerne.

Caprice = Holden Statesman

Lumina = Holden Commodore

The Impala logo is an odd addition.

et voila, one Middle Eastern Chevrolet Caprice, complete with Impala logo (couldn't find anything larger).

I'm wondering if that really is an Impala logo, though... it could be a Chevy logo in a swirl, like the Malibu had a couple of generations back...

The design of the taillights and decklid of the Caprice is quite similar to the WImpala, though..

yea thats it, like i said i was driving by in a bus... the front looks pretty bad... but the rear looks okay

I preferred the previous generation Lumina and Caprice from the M.E. for looks for some reason.

Trust me, it's the Impala logo, I've seen it up close when Holden had the Caprice SS at the Sydney auto show. The Malibu logo I remember from a couple generations back was a cresting wave—a Malibu surfing reference.
