Ignition Stuck

Featured Replies

So I went to start the Prizm today. The key turned into the first position, but wouldn't go any further. Attempts to get it to turn further with all 4 keys did nothing. At one point it wouldn't turn at all, now it's back to going to Accessory, but not any further.

No idea what's wrong. I used it last night with no problem...

Is it possibly due to the cold? Or is the ignition junk and has to be replaced? I hope the former but suspect the latter. v_v

Nothing? Guess it doesn't matter since it had to be towed. Thanks!

As I figured and you did to Camino, here's the culprit:

I love AutoZone. Everywhere else wanted $70 - $75 for the ignition. Cost me $35.

Had the mechanic install it in exchange for fixing his laptop. It pays to know about computers. 8)

That sounds like a good deal to me.
