It sounds like this engine, the LX platform, the U.S. dealership base, and North American manufacturing facilities will be Chrysler's major contributions to their partnership with Fiat. The company does have some assets to offer, regardless of what some people believe.

This is an important step for Chrysler to rebuild their image with a great engine. Now it just needs more great products to put the engine in.
