I need the short course on...

Screen resolution.

The problem I have is that so much internet content requires a resolution that makes a page impossible for me to read on my monitor.

Is the answer buying a larger monitor?

Its a real PITA.

Larger monitor is a good idea, you can also increase the text size.

I have an old Sony 17" that works great.

My other issue is that most monitors really hurt my eyes, so I'm betting those cheapies won't cut it.

Those work well. Trust me. I don't like crappy monitors either. Those are what you call good deals on great products. :P

Also, if it hurts your eyes you can turn down the brightness and/or contrast

In the meantime, you could also try turning the resolution up on your monitor and try the following:

Settings> Advanced > DPI setting (this enlarges text and icons)

Display Properties > Appearance > Advanced (here you can change individual font sizes, colors, and styles)

Thanks guys.

I'll probably just grin and bear it for a while, until all of the scrolling etc. gets on my nerves too much.

Then I'll get a bigger monitor.

Can we plug in to a high-def TV?

I'm not sure I have the proper connecting cables for this.

This is actually on my short 'to-do' list.

If your video card has an HDTV / S-Video Out port than yes.

Thank you Dodge'.

Seems I have an HDMI interface right next to the S-Video port.

Which way do it go? (likely feeds out huh?) To the users manual!

Although I've never setup an HDTV to my computer (don't have an HDTV....YET!) so I could be off.

Thank you.

I have boxes of stuff such as this dating back to a Panasonic 9" DVD player received as a Christmas gift in 2001.

I'll look for it later and explore this latest diversion after dinner I think.

Not a problem at all. :)

It would be nice to get the CD Changer to work but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't...my main goal was to get the seats...everything else was extra. :D

Users manual should have an explantion, but also Google your card/motherboard (whatever sends out the HDMI) to see if there are any people having problems, or if you need BIOS updates. Also, if it's a motherboard based HDMI, you may need to change some jumpers around, too.
