Probably shipped it to the US as parts and assembled it here using a G8.

That would make it cost prohibitive

Probably started w/ a used G8 and used Commodore Ute parts off of OZ eBay.

Lotsa cutn & weldin

I don't do body work (lil brother does) so I long for the old bolt on panels from BOF days

When this was listed before, it had a carfax link in the listing which showed that it started life as a G8 sedan. It also showed an accident with heavy rear-end damage.

So add in some Ute parts from Oz, and this one is explained.
