Cheers or Jeers: 1979 Cutlass Hurst/Olds

Here is a 1979 Cutlass Calais Hurst W-30 edition that is very rare, as less than 2900 of them were produced in 1979. The car is all original and a perfect restoration canadate, as it is 99% rust free and has very low miles. I am the owner of a full service repair shop, and we have looked this car over top to boottom and this is what we have found: No rust in floors or trunk, just a little starting in the lower rear of the front fenders. It runs, drives and handles perfect, and the factory A/C still works. Engine does not smoke or leak, tranny has a small drip. The interior is in perfect condition, with no rips, tears or stains. Tires are almost new. It has the original factory paint that is showing it's age, with the usual cracking that you see in the old single stage paint, this is the weakest point of the whole car. All glass is good, and all power options work as they should with the exception of the power antenna.

It's like waking up from a dream under the glare of cold reality, those late 70's A-bodies. But I'd take it in a heartbeat if I had the means.

SWEET Ride, that would be an awesome candidate to restore, just wish I had the money to do it. :P
