Audi sets 64th straight monthly record in April on new model strength
May 03, 2016 | HERNDON, Virginia
  • Demand for new A4 Sedan increased 28 percent for the month
  • Sales of Audi SUV models up 26 percent
  • All-time best U.S. sales month for Audi Q3
Audi set its 64th consecutive U.S. sales record for April with 17,801 vehicles sold, an increase of 5.8 percent over last year, as the new A4 and Q7 led the volume gains. Year-to-date sales increased 5 percent to 59,761 vehicles sold.

April sales were bolstered by continued demand for the all-new 2017 Audi A4 Sedan. The A4 posted an increase of 28 percent from last April. Year-to-date sales have risen 19 percent over the same time period in 2015.

Audi SUV models posted a combined increase of 26 percent across all three model lines. Sales of the Audi Q3 climbed to an all-time record high of 1,635 vehicles sold for the month, a 54 percent increase over last April. Sales of the all-new Audi Q7 increased 53 percent over last April and 87 percent year-to-date over the same time period last year.

The all-new 2017 Audi R8 Coupe, which arrived at U.S. dealerships in April, more than doubled sales over last year. The R8 is the most powerful Audi production model ever with the same naturally-aspirated V10 engine found in the R8 LMS racecar, a new application of quattro all-wheel drive and a more functional, yet technologically advanced cabin.

The new A3 Sportback e-tron posted sales of 321 vehicles in April and 1,228 vehicles year-to-date.

“In the first four months of this year, we have launched three key models,” said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. “The strength of our product portfolio, combined with consumer demand and a top-rated dealer experience, gives us confidence that we will continue our sales momentum into the summer.”

Yeah, but you look at the cars taking hits - they're all A5 and above, so basically the premium sedans.

Also, the TT. From 2 sold this time last year to a whopping 303. That's like the number of Fiat 500s sold each month.

Subaru of America, Inc. Reports Record November Sales
Record November - monthly sales increase 0.8 percent over November 2016 72 consecutive months of yearly month-over-month growth Best November ever for Crosstrek, Forester and Impreza 45 consecutive months of more than 10,000 Outbacks sold 52 consecutive months of more than 10,000 Foresters sold December 1, 2017 , Cherry Hill, N.J. - Subaru of America, Inc. today reported 51,721 vehicle sales for November 2017, a 0.8 percent increase over November 2016. The automaker also reported year-to-date sales of 584,614 vehicles, a 5.9 percent gain over the same period in 2016.
November marked the 45th consecutive month of 40,000+ vehicle sales and the 72nd consecutive month of yearly month-over-month growth for the company. Crosstrek, Forester and Impreza were notably strong as each model achieved its best November ever. BRZ also enjoyed strong gains over November 2016.
Furthering optimism around the brand, Subaru debuted its all-new, three-row, 2019 Ascent SUV at a press event prior to the Los Angeles Auto Show earlier this week. Ascent production will begin at the Subaru of Indiana, Inc. assembly plant in Lafayette, Indiana in May 2018 and will be sold exclusively in the North American market starting in summer 2018.
Moving into the final month of the year, the Subaru Share the Love event will run through January 2, 2018. Subaru of America will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to the customer's choice of the following charities: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®), Make-A-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America and National Park Foundation, or a hometown charity selected by participating Subaru retailers.
"With the continuation of our annual Share the Love event, and December typically being one of the best retail sales months of the year, the Subaru franchise is in a great position to achieve its ninth consecutive all-time sales record in 2017," said Jeff Walters, senior vice president of sales, Subaru of America, Inc.
