  1. Aside from the thread getting away from itself. I hate to say it, but no one would buy this coupe at all if Genesis made it. It would lose money hand over fist for Genesis just to prove a point. They can do a low volume prestige special with a V8 manual and higher price tag. It would be Genesis version of their last V8. If they did EV version... They should not make the coupe and only have the 4 door coupe style. Genesis has done some amazing styling here, but if these came out as production models and did not have 3 consecutive years of concepts, it's telling what Genesis always knows. Maybe in China with limited sales in Korea, but nowhere else.
  2. Hi all, It's been a while I've posted here. Hope things are alright where everyone is at. I don't know if I should make a separate thread yet for a potential topic. Has anyone worked at a car dealership here? Best, Suave.
  3. I think they are holding out on what a V series Ultium would be. I like the design. Hope they offer a body colour paint option for their attempt at the light up grille. Not a fan of the light up grilles I would get that part body colour. The rear end is not the best. Reminds of a Toyota hybrid or hydrogen car, not sure which one. Mercedes EQS is a different car for different buyer. I actually like the exterior of all these electric cars, finally they have stopped making boring compliance auto's
  4. Its like they wanted to make a rugged version of their existing crossover before Ford did the Bronco Sport, like Toyota does with their RAV4 and the Hyundai designers were up all night thinking how to do something original for themselves. And then they took 4 years to decide now's the time, when cars have become obsolete, to launch the truck. I like how they are not calling it a truck at all.
  5. Prices going up. Economy not fully recovered. Supply shortages. Money printer going brrrr... I think of the following words. Stagflation... And A word that starts with 'C' and ends with 'm'. In Canada - (no incentives for people to work below a certain income level, reducing productivity and making costs go up). Oops I might be derailing thread. Please no one entertain the kind of word I was thinking. Yeah lumber prices are bad. I heard Canada (where I live) might be limiting exports due to the cancellations of keystone too. Not sure if true or not. As for Tesla cars. I don't think any car maker could sell those cheap Wuling things yet in NA. I don't see the price points ever going lower, maybe some more features for the money down the line. And Tesla is about to be inundated with competition. I think their position is not nearly as strong as when the Model Y came out. Paper tiger maybe.
  6. We can thank the turn of events that you were not permanently harmed and that the fire was contained. What a year indeed, so many of us would wish to light a fire to end it... and here is the message that fire is dangerous, please do prepare for it and never consider it something to play with.
  7. Thank you @daves87rs I hope everyone can stay safe during this time. I'm In the camp who who really does not like remote work and always gets cabin fever. Even taking the bus or tube to get to work was always taken for granted. Not being able to walk out in the morning or come home to settle down really brings a lot of emotions and self reflection. The ideal is a mighty harsh judge I just need a practical outlet for guilt. Work! 😂
  8. Not to be too political or anything but 10-15 years ago I was a dumb teenager and I thought America was the greatest and would happily drink the cool-aid and I was riffed for being decidedly 'American' in the eyes of peers. I thought it was great. As a Canuck. Like isn't it great to be considered the most American in a largely immigrant community. Boy was I wrong. Like massively wrong in my worldview. I'm in mid 20s now and somehow feel more informed but vastly more I guess 'fixed' in mindset. Two recessions that gutted us, disastrous family life and abysmal career choices and plenty of self hate later I'm just left staring in the mirror at a husk and look at what's happening south of the border in totality and wonder if it's all similar for a reason. Not a random thought at all. Uh. Back to self hate.
  9. Covid19 is the kind of shock that levels a lot of things... dammit. Good or bad, the shock that is going to fix so many broken things in America
  10. Anybody else eating ramen and drinking instant coffee, while huddled at home afraid of the virus? (me right now)
  11. This vehicle has all the features that people want at a lower price. I don’t know what product planners at other makes are thinking, they’re pretty myopic just catering to their existing customer bases. This thing is out there for sure but it has the essence of premium ness that even Buick or some previous Lincolns like the MKT struggle to offer...at the right price. And then Denali is just a chrome package so how can this thing’s lopsided front be any worse?
  12. Embroiled in lots of thoughts, not many randomly
  13. I was at first against the reduction in power of the CT4/5-V. The German brands have expanded their M models and AMGs to no detriment to their high power options. I don’t think this has be different for Cadillac either. I like the CT4 quite a bit too. I think Cadillac in terms of non-crossovers really only lags in glitzy looking infotainment systems and model choice like coupes, or ultra luxury level cars above the CT6.
  14. Hello all... Been lurking for a while for many reasons, some really stupid and others really scary. I also face an existential crisis here. Car is benched. Have lost interest in driving. Moving cities, changing career, moving away from all family and friends in a couple months. Reflecting on my interest in autos... I just like the pictures. There’s nothing about sporty or good looking or well made cars that make me want to open my wallet for ‘em. Have lost any loyalty to any brand completely. Anyways I might post in other threads but for now feel kinda lame. Be back whenever...
  15. When buying a Chevy, the only trim worth buying is the one that trims is the WT trim The Wallet Trim.
  16. A purchase of a Model 3 is almost like a tribute to Elon Musk. Just getting a Model T was a nod to Henry Ford. Also I think this version availability has nothing to do with being able to actually manufacture the standard model. It has everything to do with the Polestar 2. That thing is going to be the first real competitor to Model 3. And it also sells online only.
  17. They built a concept rocket. The idea that sending a car in space is the only way to make it the fastest car ever....
  18. I don't think that's an entry price for the vehicle RS trim? I would not get the Blazer because it really only looks decent with the big wheel and tire packages. At that point I might as well consider paying a $1000/yr road tax as I'm sure I'll lose my shirt, pants and the pocket change inside when it comes time to replace tires and replace damaged wheels.
  19. I actually like the Blazers style now. It has totally grown on me - in RS trim. I think the base four cylinder isn't that much of an issue even considering Toyota and Hyundai offer similar setups in lower trims of their midsize 2/3 rows. I think the next full redesign XT5 will try to be lower, slightly more wagon look with Escala cues. Here's a case where Chevy certainly looks the part, just as an ugly RX might. Now the interior trappings are to your taste but there are more conservative offerings that deliver more space, value or other criteria being met. GM wants Chevy to be the stylish option with a premium for it. Our next quarters sales might give a clue how it's doing.
  20. Well I mean the Blazer is basically a Camaro body on an Acadia. I am sure that GM had plenty of Camaro bodies sitting around that needed a chassis. Voila! I would bring back rebadging. And then I would bring back something a helluva lot worse than rebadging.
  21. I wish that this thing will become a future candidate for an LS swap. Can't imagine a motor with a snail and a blower will be any good 10,15 years down the line! Let's chase efficiency while at the same time turning vehicles more and more disposable...rant over...
  22. The great thing about GJC, whatever anyone believes about FCA reliability... They have built and sold so many and you can find parts everywhere for it, and Mopar is unparalleled in the variety of they product catalog. You can basically swap fascias, drive lines, half shafts, besrings, mostly anything except maybe transmission from the '11 redesign up till now. This is the edicated, wise person choice in this segment. Or get the new Explorer or Durango if you truly want something flashy
  23. But.... but.... What if they gonna makes a V16??? Make Mercedes Great Again?! 😁
