Mitsubishi Motors Reports Best February Sales Since 2005

  • Sales up 38.8 percent over last February
  • Best February for the brand since 2005
  • Outlander volume up 72.8 percent; records best February sales since 2003 with 3,665 vehicles sold
  • Combined Mirage and Mirage G4 sales up 145 percent over last February

CYPRESS, Calif., March 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) reported February 2017 sales of 10,924 an increase of 38.8 percent over February 2016. Mitsubishi's flagship CUV lead the way with total sales of 3,665, an increase of 72.8 percent over last year and the best February sales month in 14 years (2003). The spirited and fuel efficient Mirage and Mirage G4 posted combined sales of 2,835 representing an increase of 145 percent over February 2016. For the calendar year, Mitsubishi sales are up 23 percent when compared to the same period last year.

      Porsche Reports January 2018 U.S. Sales
      Retail Sales Up 4.7 Percent For Solid Start In New Year After Record 2017 ATLANTA, Feb. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of the Porsche 911, 718 Boxster and Cayman, Panamera, Cayenne, and Macan model lines, today announced January 2018 retail sales of 4,816 vehicles.
      The Porsche 911 and the Panamera sports sedan drove growth in January. Sales of the 911 model line were up 4.7 percent versus the same month last year. The Panamera showed strong demand with 610 vehicles sold.

      Hyundai Motor America Reports January 2018 Sales
      Retail sales up seven percent All-time Tucson January with 7,638 Sold Best Total SUV January; 12 Percent Increase Compared with January 2017 SUV Sales FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 1, 2018 – Despite another standout month for total SUV and Tucson sales, Hyundai Motor America reported January sales of Hyundai- and Genesis-branded vehicles of 41,242 units, an 11 percent decline in comparison with the company’s record setting January in 2017. Still, retail sales were up seven percent with all regions experiencing an uptick. Tucson continues to achieve substantial sales growth, up 33 percent on the month and setting its January record, while Elantra sales increased by 6 percent.

      Kia Motors America Announces January Sales
      Best-Ever January Sales for the Sportage CUV and Forte Family of Compact Cars IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Powered by an 11.8-percent rise in retail sales compared to the same period last year, Kia Motors America (KMA) today announced January sales of 35,628 vehicles. The month saw best-ever January performances by the Sportage CUV and Forte family of compact cars as Kia's year-over-year sales edged up despite a 58.8-percent decrease in fleet sales.
      "Kia is off to a strong start in 2018 with Rio, Forte, Cadenza and Sportage experiencing big gains as our long-term strategy for growth delivered a double-digit retail sales increase in January," said Bill Peffer, vice president, sales, KMA.
