worst offenders EVER are the Mercury Milan & Lincoln Zephyr.

Not just because they're basically a Ford Fusion but because that's

basically a rebadged Mazda and all three look like Chinese knockoffs

of the last gen. VW Jetta

Wow, that's a pretty long list of cars, although most of them make sense.

I disagree on a couple. They seem to want to call platform mates rebadges, though the Tribute and escape are most definitely not rebadges, and I really don't consider the Fusion/Milan/Zephyr to be rebadges (plenty of styling differences), though the 500/Montego most certainly are.

Tribute and Escape are defintiely rebadges.

There are some errors, though, like the Isuzu i-Series is a rebadge of the Colorado, not the Silverado, as well as glaring omissions, like the Honda Passport/Isuzu Rodeo, Acura SLX/Isuzu Trooper, Toyota Land Cruiser/LX470, Crown Vic/Grand Marquis, Cobalt/Pursuit, and many others. Sadly, another 'international' Wikipedia car article.

Also, I wouldn't consider the Fusion/Milan/Zephyr to be direct rebadges, but not fully independant either. I would define the 'rebadge spectrum' as such...

The Tribute/Escape and Fusion/Milan/Zephyr are slightly more than rebadges, but not much..the styling differences amongst them the are pretty trivial.

They are trying to appeal to european, japanese and american car buyers with a european look, japanese platform and an american badge.
