  1. It would be nice to see quieter outdoor equipment...noisy lawnmowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws....

  2. This is the autoshow's fault. They've been approving everyone and anyone who could fog a mirror and who has posted on the internet ever. It's all about the control factor. The manufacturers want to control who has access to the debut and instead of getting journalists and legitimate bloggers and influencers, they're getting Chinese competitive intelligence crawling over the car for the first 3 days of the show.

  3. How much of that is distribution? NJ has capacity and flow issues, thus the cost. That price would be even higher without the solar. I'm significantly more pragmatic. I like torque... I don't need vroom vroom noises. I don't care how the torque is generated as long as there is a lot of it and I get it low in the RPM range. I'd drive a nuke powered V12 steam engine as long as it gives me the performance I want.

  4. I think they are doing this for price considerations instead of actual product planning. They want the Avenir to be the same price as the GS maybe and then make it a choice of two sides. The problem with the Regal, is that it’s value proprositon is really bad as you add options and go up trims. the base model is a fantastic deal with the 2.0 litre and sport back hatch. And then the interior, other than leather seats really sees no changes between the $27,000 car and the $40,000 car. Now it’s quick to note many cars have that problem but here’s compounded because the Regal inteior is barely better than the Malibu’s

  5. So the top trim is front drive only, and no AWD offered? That makes no sense because most people buying the luxury model are going to want all wheel drive.

  6. How well is the LaCrosse Avenir selling compared to the rest of the LaCrosse?

  8. Guess when you live in a state that has the cheapest electric rates in the nation and is state controlled so it takes Voters approval to increase rates, one does not worry about WS taking it over. 6 cents per kWh makes it a deal to drive EV.

  9. First of all, it is the vroom vroom noises that make owning personal transportation meaningful. Electrification will only serve to further homogenize the car... into much less than what it is now. Loud pipes save lives.

  10. Supposedly, First Energy rate here in the Cleveland burbs is about 5.25c/KWh. Summer, when the electric bill is higher from running the A/C a lot hasn't been that bad so far.... my highest was for July, $235...in comparison, in Phoenix running the A/C 24/7 in July for a house 1/2 the size was usually $450-600/month from June-Sept.
