  1. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/india-150-million-drivers-only-000001260.html As is primarily the case in the U.S., EVs are generally far too expensive. Almost 70% of consumers in India pay UNDER $10K to buy a car and the Kona EV is $35,000. Dealer only stocked 130 units thru August this year. The India vehicle market has only seen 8,000 EVs sell there in SIX years, despite strong gov't support & incentives. And despite the far different standard of living in the U.S., price competitiveness is still the tallest hurdle EVs have to get over.

  2. The Kia Soul and the Kia Forte have CVTs. C-HR and Corolla use CVTs. And @ccap41, it's the Malibu that got the CVT.

  3. Had to get something to replace the Malibu lease end?

  4. Maybe CVTs are cheaper to build and maintain than a 8-speed or 10-speed traditional automatic. That does NOT mean the CVT is a good idea.

  6. I've only noticed a couple of the toyoters around me, and they are quite bloated, so I don't think many are escaping my eye. I'm surprised with the glut in this segment anyone is willing choosing this small disaster, but; people. Go figure.

  7. Are ya sure it is deep in development? Daimler seems to have been stopping everything to reassess if it makes sense to continue selling. I am willing to bet a number of these low volume performance auto's get killed or existing versions are drawn out for awhile to reduce expenditures. GT is special, but not like the Corvette.

  9. CNN Just broke with the first pictures of the hard top convertible and I have to say I like what I see. Should also sell well for GM. https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/02/cars/2020-corvette-convertible/index.html I do have to wonder how many dealers will bring in actual base models to have a $59,999 version on the lot. Most dealers seem to bring in mid to fully loaded models only.
