  1. In "downtown" Maui, you have to check out the "Maui Monkey" store. The lady in there is a bit touched... Honestly, Oahu is where the life is at...I was quite bored in Maui, though I hear there is a volcano to hike up and stuff...
  2. is Mary Kay pink gonna be a new standard option from the color palette?
  3. What's the new ad song gonna be? Fountains of Wayne, "Stacy's Mom"?????

  6. This sounds really promising! I can't wait to see the ads that cater to the latte-spilling, botox-injecting I'm-40-and-buy-pink-Juicy-Couture-velour-track-suits crowd.

    Seriously? Chill.
  11. I said "quality designer" items. Old Navy and Dockers do not count. I had the same experience as mustang84 with Old Navy. There is also a direct correlation between price and comfort. You might scoff at the $65 retail Camp Beverly Hills Tshirts, but I guarantee you that I have never felt a softer more comfortable cotton shirt in my life. Of course, I paid less than half of the retail price :AH-HA_wink: . The overall construction is dictated by the price...how do companies sell clothes so cheaply? Cutting corners. Ever notice how buttons come off a lot of pants? Trust me, it's because they are the cheaper brands that didn't properly and securely sew the button on in the first place. If properly sewn (takes more effort/precision) that button won't go anywhere unless you cut the thread. Double-stitched seams are another example. Thickness of fabric (sturdier) and thread are another more expensive but necessary "upgrade." Slim-fits and other tailorings also add to the cost. I get more mileage out of the higher-priced items I have, not only because of the added comfort, but also because they look more tailored and therefore look better on me than the standard one-size-fits-all clothes. Economically, if I pay twice the price for something but wear it three times as often as the alternative, it is technically a better value.
  12. I've never heard anything like that. Aurora 3.5s and Aurora 4.0s were A++ machines and are worth every penny...if you can find one. Owners love em, and they tend not to go for sale as much as other makes.
  13. Or you can get quality designer items that don't wear out. The only brand I own that wears out is American Eagle, and they last me 4-5 years, so I can live with that. Bluefly.com is a godsend. Where else can you get Camp Beverly Hills for $30?
  14. I am in front of everybody equally, unless they are going faster than I.
  15. I can pretty well. I'm fine at rice too, but I have problems with plastic chopsticks and fried greasy dim sum...the plastic offers no texture to grip, and the grease just lubricates it. Gimbaap, sushi, bulgolgi, pad thai, most dim sum and all rice and veggie dishes? No problem.
  16. I dunno what I would be considered...I don't have any ripped jeans, but I want a few pairs and will be getting some this fall most likely...I have a few polos, I wear a lot of shorts...flip flops/converse all stars/pumas are what I wear on my feet...and a $h! load of Tshirts, many bought at Target. As far as the prices on things, well it depends. Most of what I buy is in the 12-20 range for Ts, 35-40 for shorts and pants. I do spring for a few expensive shirts cuz they are really comfortable...like I have a Camp Beverly Hills T and a couple COEXIST Ts as well as a BOSS T, but most of my Ts come from kohls or target. I've gotten into those track jackets and have a few Le Tigres, and half of my polos are Ralph Lauren Polo brand, with a couple Lacoste and one random brand from Bloomingdales @ Fashion Island. Most of my jeans are from AE though I have one pair by DKNY, and I have several DKNY button-down shirts I wear regularly. I really dunno what you'd call it...I look like just about everyone else in SoCal and a lil nicer than most in Indy.
  17. Awesome!!
  18. That design evolved into the Rendezvous...and I have no problem with either designs to be honest...
  19. Neither...they should have gone with the SUV styling, which is about perfect.
  20. dude you gotta take the gamble yourself...weigh the pros and cons of each and then just go with your gut.
  21. Other than sharing the same criticism, the ad is pretty good. The color of the AURA makes it rather forgettable though.
  22. What they said. (NOS & Satty & BV & YJ & Oldsmoboi &...)
  23. That last word you used (depite the u/i mispelling) is highly offensive and should never be used. Not as a joke, not in seriousness...not ever.
  24. These trucks look dated already. If this is what we got in 2002, fine...but the exterior design is trailing the competition in a big way. The sides just are not as clean or modern as the SUVs. Way too soft.
