  1. ...those are reverse lamps. Rear fogs are red.
  2. so...why can't this be OUR Equinox???
  3. Seriously? Rear fog lamps.
  4. OK Don't EU regs require rear fog lamps? Where are they?
  5. Well...no one buys Armadas in SoCal anyway...at least from what I've seen. Oh, and slightly OT, but those Yukons look great on the road (to quell any doubters)

    .....

    That is sexy.
  7. Dude, GMT800 was heavily modified to make the H2...I see no reason Theta couldn't be. Plus, shortened 355 is sooooo similar to H3.Give Theta AWD, a high ground clearance, beefy suspension...itll work. (Plus wasn't a Theta-based Hummer talked about earlier?)
  8. Seriously? You're comparing a 1992 Tercel to a 2006 G6. Seriously?
  9. A raised AWD Theta with HD components should be perfect.
  10. derr, Aurora. Both times.
  11. ...and today's Golden Post Award goes to BOB!!
  12. Dude. Get over it. Your precious Camry isn't all that and a bag of chips and every member on this board knows you'd CASTRATE the General using LOTS of unnecessary CAPITALIZATION about what TERRIBLE quality a GM car is if it had this same issue. Please, can you at least pretend to be balanced? Between the latest Avalon and the new Camry it seems quality has taken a slight hit. Now, please remove the rose-colored glasses. Kthnxbye
  13. This is how you deal with it: Since he is not your boss and is a client, you do the very very very bare minimum with this particular client. Once you have a contract and he is paying you X amount of dollars, you can take your sweet time in dealing with him. Also, you may or may not want to let your boss know the situation in case this client ever goes over your head to complain. You are under no obligation to give this hothead excellent service, and unless he is your biggest client and your company depends on his patronage, you likely don't want to give him many reasons to want to work with you again, no?
  14. Dude...this guy better be really fucking hot in your opinion for you to be able to look past the complete retardation that is in the quote. Not that I know anything about these kinds of relationships...but damn this guy sounds dense if he thinks that's a good idea! LOL!
  15. uhhh...I clicked and saw no Hilary. But she's awkwardly proportioned so I really don't mind missing her stumpy legs, no neck and flabby upper arms in addition to her new horse veneers.
  16. That sounds like it is substandard then. Too bad, I really like the new Camry as much as it pains me to say it.
  17. Custom interior panels, repairing something in the dash, etc.
  18. When I said "build quality" I was referring more to the fit and finish...but I am surprised that plastic came out so easily in the Camry. Is it something that would have likely come apart upon hitting a pothole, or did you have to pull on it a certain way to get it off? Because honestly? I'd rather have dash parts easy to swap out/repair as long as they stayed in.
  19. Now we KNOW he's gone off the deep end!
  20. Maybe no differences in build quality, but the materials in the G6 are decidedly low-grade in comparison. GM matched the Altima, not Camcord.

This is a very ecologically ignorant post. Pollution generated in the city doesn't just stay in the city; it goes everywhere. You say it's too late but due to swift action by governments the Ozone Hole is set to close in about 50 years. Guess what? All those places you mentioned are polluted compared to how they were 200 years ago. Not cool.Things can and will improve if we stop being immature selfish people and start giving a damn about someone other than ourselves for a change!
  22. Well duh! I'd be shocked as anything if this were not the case!
  23. Most important thing to me is an athletic character, followed very closely by interior quality, features and design, also followed very closely by exterior design statement. Overall practicality ranks #4.

See, the original topic had no qualifications in it, and Oldsmoboi recommended a Cobalt and NOS recommended a 1998 Camaro (late-model IMO) and ocn waits until I post my list not only to criticize it, but to imply that I am ignorant of crash percentages as a result of my list. Also, I am well aware of the monetary issue, but it's a pretty well-known fact that cars are less safe old than new due to corrosion, general wear and tear, and other incidents that come from owning and operating a car. If an old beater is all that can be afforded, fine, but that doesn't mean I have to recommend it, especially when a new or late-model compact car can be had for about a hundred dollars per month via a leasing program. A part-time minimum wage job at McDonald's can cover that no problem with money to spare. There are options.

You don't realize that as a result of your trying to start stuff by responding negatively to my posts on a frequent basis after I have repeatedly and kindly asked you to cease and desist I have put you on "Ignore" and only see your posts when others quote them, clearly.--- To everyone else, I think my list speaks for itself: practical, fuel-efficient (first-time drivers tend to be low on cash), safe, high-quality, enjoyable to drive and stylish. I really don't know what ocn's issue is regarding my list. Most of the people at my HS received new or late-model cars. Most of the people kept their cars in good shape and took care of them. The few who didn't tended to be the few who received (or bought on their own) beater cars. Those people in the old beater cars by and large were also the ones with the most extensive injuries when they were involved in accidents because the beaters they drove had already been in previous accidents or lacked modern safety equipment like air bags, seat belt tensioners, effective safety cages, etc. Now, granted this is entirely anecdotal, but what would you care more about, your new or late-model car you bought or received...or some POS beater that is "just wheels" and is missing all but one of its hubcaps?
