  1. I love those Japanese drinks!
  2. Honestly, I *never* tasted the vanilla in Vanilla Coke. It just tasted like slightly sweeter Coke to me. Pepsi Vanilla tastes far more like the fountain drink. Just go to Steak n' Shake or any other place that offers a REAL Vanilla drink and then tell me which of the canned imitations tastes the closest to the real thing?
  3. Ooooo I remember Orbit! Dunno if I ever had one. What about Josta? Remember that?
  4. Change is annoying...it just piles up so fast! And it makes noise when you walk...ugh. It isn't that cash is dirty, but that if I have cash, it needs to be in a wallet, and wallets take up way too much pocket space and bulge. It's like walking around with a big, square sign on your pants saying ROB ME!! No. Cash sucks. You know what they need? Little personal Debit machines for people. That way, if you owe someone money, just swipe your card on their Debit machine for the specified amount, and then it can be uploaded at home via USB to the computer and then the data sent to and from the banks involved. Cashless society!
  5. Pepsi Twist is still around, and I think it is pretty noticeable, especially compared to the (IMO) more disappointing Pepsi Lime (barely discernable). Pepsi Vanilla is still the best, though, of the Pepsi collection, with Wild Cherry a VERY close second.
  6. It was identical to Pepsi, just clear.
  7. It doesn't bother me at all...
  8. I know, but like the auto industry, I don't make uncomfirmed assumptions truths.
  9. I don't think it's that funny simply because I don't carry cash on me at all. Ever. If a place doesn't take an ATM card or have an ATM at their establishment, they don't get my business.
  10. BUT...This is what I was referring to: So sue me, I'm impatient!
  11. well, yes, laughing can be a reflex, but not to the extent portrayed. "Laughing like hyenas" is when you really find something funny. OUTRAGEOUSLY funny. As we now know from XP's post, Sly was "saying really retarded bull$h! that makes him look, shall we say, less than stupendous."
  12. No, I believe you. Really, I do. You told me nothing new :AH-HA_wink:
  13. OK...so, Yoda, what's the point of this thread?
  14. Qdoba actually came first, back in 1996 when they were known as Zteca, before they lost a name infringement case in CA (which is why their expansion has been so slow in CA).
  15. I wouldn't have EVER laughed at that in the first place. Chasing the Blazer was fine, and the right thing, but that's not what anyone is talking about. He said: So, mute, what is this about a nervous-laugh defense mechanism bull$h!? Ummmm sorry, don't think so. The only time a crash is really funny is if it is a single-vehicle crash and solely the fault of the ONLY DRIVER INVOLVED. If someone is stupid enough to crash THEMSELVES with no other external forces, THAT can be funny. But when someone crashes into someone else, probably totals a car, what's funny about that? An innocent driver minding their own business is now out of a bit of money. I don't see what's funny.
  16. Actually, as of last summer they were true. I read in more than one article that McDonald's was looking to spin Chipotle off or sell it because they weren't making the money they wanted them to.And to answer the original question, I have only been in one Chipotle that had a line. Every other time I have been there I was the only customer. Not too good...
  17. It's called compassion. I know someone who has serious back problems from just a minor 5-10 mph collision in a small car and an SUV. Sorry, but I don't find it funny.
  18. Go to Qdoba. They have 5 in California with more opening soon. They are Denver-based, and they are a little cheaper than Chipotle, they have better burritos (they actually put meat in them instead of Chipotle's tiny bit of meat and lots of rice and beans), Qdoba has more of a menu (salads, quesadillas, soup, etc), and the food is generally better, though it isn't as spicy as Chipotle's food. Check epinions.com as Qdoba kicks their butts at ratings. McDonald's is wanting to sell Chipotle because of slow sales and loss of money, whereas Jack In The Box is actually EXPANDING Qdoba all over the country. I have never heard someone say they liked Chipotle better than Qdoba. NEVER.
  19. When I saw this title I thought it was gonna be about Miami Vice.
  20. Why would you EVER laugh at someone getting into an accident? That's H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!!
  21. Again, no "funk" just the star-struck state of mind wearing off. See, you got me pegged pretty well; I have no idea where ocn gets this image of some introverted and lonely person, because anyone who knows me knows that's false. Where's Turbo or LA to back me up here? Seriously! Haha
  22. What in the WORLD are you talking about?Yea, you've made it pretty clear you aren't a big Croc fan, but I never guessed you'd built up some image into your head of someone deathly lonely and imagining myself alone...where did you get that from? I think you're projecting, because I don't recall ever posting being "lonely" here. I've re-read that post I made several times, and I really don't see where you got any of it. I'm not lonely here at all, and I definitely have a little group out here, but the people in general are just very closed off. If you have ever been to Southern California, you'd understand. I just prefer the friendlier midwestern people better, that's all my previous post said.

  24. I think the slightly recessed/"frosted" headlamps look dated, and the taillights sometimes look slightly dated, but overall it is a pretty timeless design.
