I never said you were But these guys sure seemed to be...and you definitely agreed with CSpec... Mark my words, these will sell amazingly. I wouldn't mind one based on what I've seen, the interiors are no worse than GM's (probably better) and the exterior has a lot of character. Plus, a hatch is a great idea. This would make a great first car for someone.

You don't know the whole story and you should withold judgment. You have no idea what they'd been through. Why do you think they looted the electronics? Obviously they weren't intending to set them in their living rooms and turn on CNN like the rest of America...chances are they looted to SELL IT and get money, most of which they either never had, or what little they had had was lost in the storm. Did you not see the incredible police brutality in NOLA? Obviously not...if you heard the cops were coming around and beating innocent people to death, you'd prolly shoot at them too if you saw one approaching you.You seem to have a disturbing lack of compassion for these people...and I really don't know why. I wouldn't worry about it too much...there really isn't anything to do at this point. It's good you said your mom took it better than you expected; women generally accept it more easily than men/fathers. At this point, just lay low for a little bit, and try talking to them. The one thing you MUST MUST MUST remember is that if they are insensitive, it isn't because they don't love you anymore...but that they just don't understand. Direct them to http://pflag.org . The biggest problem with NOLA was the lack of maintenance of the flood control measures. If DONE RIGHT, as in the levees built REALLY well, and an annual maintenance fund is established so it is less of a financial shock when the levees need rehabilitation...I don't see why NOLA cannot be rebuilt for the most part. Again, it wasn't the hurricane that destroyed it, but the apathy toward the levees. I bet you the Dutch maintain their levees...

I've only seen parts of the first season, but I love it. The "Eating Disorder" episode was great.

The iPod only hurts your ears if you have the volume cranked up. I don't, so it doesn't bother them. If you stop listening to music and have a ringing in your ears, then you just messed em up.

HAHA the "like" thing. I do that sometimes, mainly when I'm hyper. I think it's funny when people use "all" in the same context, like: "So she's all I have raging herpes and I'm all you need to go put some ointment on it, STAT!"
