  1. I know this is subjective, but I believe there was a poll, and the G6 coupe overwhelmingly won as the more attractive of the two.
  2. Uhhh...well the Lucerne is BASED ON the DTS. I don't see how using those terms is contradictory. BLS is BASED ON the SAAB 9-3 because it shares the same platform and uses the same plant. It has more in common with the 9-3 than the Malibu (thank GOD), but they are all Epsilon-derived. The comparison to which I was referring was that of overall shapes. Honestly? You are FAR MORE LIKELY to see a review that says: "Cadillac's BLS is based on GM's global Epsilon platform, which also underpins the Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6."
  3. Yamulkahs are the Jewish caps. I guess they could be termed skull caps as well, but in America when someone says "skull cap" this is usually what is called to mind: These were a huge trend in the States 2-3 years ago.
  4. Clueless (1995)
  5. Uhhhh maybe because in America we call those "skull caps" and that is infinitely easier to say (as well as not being French).
  6. Gonna be honest: If you could convince me that the shirts at Wal*Mart were of the same soft, high-quality cotten and every bit as fashionable as the stuff on bluefly.com you could convince me to spend less. That said, I have yet to see a cheap Tshirt feel anywhere near as nice and soft as my Camp Beverly Hills Tshirt. That shirt is the most comfortable T I own and is therefore worth every cent of the $25-$30 it cost me (retail: $65)
  7. The sedan is much goofier-looking than the coupe. The coupe and convertible both have a proper, straight beltline, whereas the sedan has this gouge in it around the side mirrors. Ugly. The taillights are cheaped-out on the sedan. The interiors in all models blow chunks. If GM gave them really good interiors, then I might be able to forgive the nasty exterior of the sedan. They really just need good interiors.
  8. Cadillac @ Times Square?
  9. Not gonna lie...everyone still says that :AH-HA_wink:
  10. heh...Bluefly.com is a godsend. I've gotten great deals on sunglasses from D&G, Diesel and Diesel's sport brand 55DSL.

    Cadillac

Wrong. The Deville livery vehicles are all based on a truck chassis with the cosmetic Deville styling on it.
  12. Good read. Thanks for posting
  13. Hmmmm...wonder why THAT might have been
  14. The shot of the Mustang is much closer than the shot of the Camaro. Without specs on me, I am still fairly certain the Mustang isn't longer than the Camaro, especially not by that much. The door sill on the Mustang is much lower, making it much more conducive to open-air touring.

fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine :cue Andy from Wet Hot American Summer:I'll buy you a churro from the Santa Monica Pier instead :AH-HA_wink:
  16. They did that ON the blue oval badge? I'm all for keeping the blue oval...just make it more metallic and change the script to block lettering
  17. No.It can be had for under 30.
  18. If the BLS is an excellent vehicle on its own, it won't matter. By the way, as far as being "SAAB-sourced," you are dead wrong. The BLS is on Epsilon. It is no more SAAB-sourced than the Malibu, G6 or Aura. Just because it is built in the same Epsilon plant as the 9-3 does NOT make it SAAB-sourced. These cars were globally-designed by GM. Personally? I think you have some irrational hangup regarding SAAB. Why the passion against them?

It depends. You could view the event as two separate transactions. In this situation, you need to find out if the quoted price would have been the same regardless of whether or not you were involved. If the uncle wants to give you $50, that's his prerogative, and he can give you whatever he wants to give you, whenever he chooses. If accepting the money yourself is too uncomfortable, then a nice compromise would be to use the money to treat both you and your friend to dinner or some other event. That said, if the friend is in a financial "situation," however, then the nice friendly thing would be to give it back to him. Any decision made wouldn't be unethical, but I would need more information to say for sure what I would do, though the option of spending it to treat both you and the friend seems most attractive at this point.
  21. Same with the SportCombi, but you also get additional cargo capabilities. Also, the SAAB doesn't have the electric steering, which I believe the G6 does.
  22. Too bad you couldn't make it to LAIAS with the gang... :AH-HA_wink:
  23. But it doesn't LOOK like a SAAB, and SAAB has so little market presence the comparison prolly won't be noticed. A BLS would not overlap anything as GM has no luxury entry in that size class.
  24. I agree. Ford should change the script to an all-caps silver block lettering F O R D on "blue steel" so it isnt flat-looking.
  25. Why? It doesn't look dated like cursive "Ford" does
