  1. Cadillac @ Times Square?
  2. Not gonna lie...everyone still says that :AH-HA_wink:
  3. heh...Bluefly.com is a godsend. I've gotten great deals on sunglasses from D&G, Diesel and Diesel's sport brand 55DSL.

    Cadillac

Wrong. The Deville livery vehicles are all based on a truck chassis with the cosmetic Deville styling on it.
  5. Good read. Thanks for posting
  6. Hmmmm...wonder why THAT might have been
  7. The shot of the Mustang is much closer than the shot of the Camaro. Without specs on me, I am still fairly certain the Mustang isn't longer than the Camaro, especially not by that much. The door sill on the Mustang is much lower, making it much more conducive to open-air touring.

fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine :cue Andy from Wet Hot American Summer:I'll buy you a churro from the Santa Monica Pier instead :AH-HA_wink:
  9. They did that ON the blue oval badge? I'm all for keeping the blue oval...just make it more metallic and change the script to block lettering
  10. No.It can be had for under 30.
  11. If the BLS is an excellent vehicle on its own, it won't matter. By the way, as far as being "SAAB-sourced," you are dead wrong. The BLS is on Epsilon. It is no more SAAB-sourced than the Malibu, G6 or Aura. Just because it is built in the same Epsilon plant as the 9-3 does NOT make it SAAB-sourced. These cars were globally-designed by GM. Personally? I think you have some irrational hangup regarding SAAB. Why the passion against them?

It depends. You could view the event as two separate transactions. In this situation, you need to find out if the quoted price would have been the same regardless of whether or not you were involved. If the uncle wants to give you $50, that's his prerogative, and he can give you whatever he wants to give you, whenever he chooses. If accepting the money yourself is too uncomfortable, then a nice compromise would be to use the money to treat both you and your friend to dinner or some other event. That said, if the friend is in a financial "situation," however, then the nice friendly thing would be to give it back to him. Any decision made wouldn't be unethical, but I would need more information to say for sure what I would do, though the option of spending it to treat both you and the friend seems most attractive at this point.
  14. Same with the SportCombi, but you also get additional cargo capabilities. Also, the SAAB doesn't have the electric steering, which I believe the G6 does.
  15. Too bad you couldn't make it to LAIAS with the gang... :AH-HA_wink:
  16. But it doesn't LOOK like a SAAB, and SAAB has so little market presence the comparison prolly won't be noticed. A BLS would not overlap anything as GM has no luxury entry in that size class.
  17. I agree. Ford should change the script to an all-caps silver block lettering F O R D on "blue steel" so it isnt flat-looking.
  18. Why? It doesn't look dated like cursive "Ford" does
  19. Midsized or not, it fills a void in the Cadillac lineup BMW, MB, Lexus, etc all compete in. It will be fine. FWD/AWD is fine for small cars anyway.
  20. It's at the end of its life cycle. The UL8 should be out soon...
  21. Exactly! Just because a dealer doesn't carry it has no bearing on whether or not GM makes it...
  22. I would recommend the SAAB 9-3 SportCombi. It was among 4 GM cars at LAIAS that the group universally liked without complaints. I don't know if this will be too expensive for you or not...but it's a solid family vehicle...
  23. Bits of A&F Quarterly could be viewed as soft core gay porn as well. It's really what you want to read into it.There was some photo used in I think a Calvin Klein ad of two shirtless guys on a boat sailing (and trying very hard not to fall off)...and a lot of people thought it was really gay and much ado was made over it.........when it turned out to be a real-life father and son in an action shot as they were about to capsize. It's really what you choose to read into it, and in the case of GQ, most of their models are pretty masculine-looking, and the amount of space devoted to (non-ad) fashion is much less than is devoted to Lifestyle and Tech-Gadgets. So, no, I never really considered GQ to be a gay-themed publication.
  24. Liane says they're good...maybe I'll try them one day...
  25. Um, so GQ doesn't have the reputation of being a gay-interest magazine, especially with their features on beautiful women, girlfriend advice, etc., though continuing their current direction they soon will.--- Haven't tried any of those, though I wouldn't be against it. Question: were the ducks like little fetus-things? Cuz my Asian friend had a picture of these duck fetus delicacies she had at Thanksgiving and they looked gross and sound eerily similar to what you're describing.
