  1. No, that's not what monochromatic means at all. Click the link.
  2. Dude get over it. The design was good but not perfect and some things really do need to be addressed before it is produced otherwise the public will nitpick it. The high beltline/tiny greenhouse is a huge flaw. Why? $h!ty open-air driving experience. I would say the quality of open-air driving experience is pretty integral to the success of the Camaro. Also, the trunk access would be easy to fix. Ridiculously easy to fix, without restraining the design. Just extend the cutlines down vertically.

    Higher Education?

Harvard does have that X Factor. I will give them that.
  4. I know for a fact it wasn't Satty.

    Colts lose!

Vanderjagt couldn't have been farther off target had he kicked that ball behind him. Seriously, what a moron!

    Higher Education?

I've never heard of Chapel Hill...sorry  UCLA isn't as good as Berkeley, but I still think it ranks up there.

    Higher Education?

I have to disagree about Harvard, I think they are incredibly overrated. They are one of the best schools, but IMO not "the" best. I'd say Yale is better than Harvard, by a lot. But again, when you are among the best you are among the best, anything else is just a stupid pissing match.
  8. Dude no worries...I don't follow NFL at all. The only pro sports I follow at all are the NBA, and only when it gets to the playoffs.

    Higher Education?

Yea, in CA that seems to be the way to go. CA has a great public higher education system, so why not take advantage of it? Proof: What state-owned and state-funded schools are mentioned routinely in the same breaths as Harvard, Yale, MIT, Dartmouth, Duke etc? Really...only UCLA and Berkeley come to mind there though I would love to be enlightened of any others. The CCs are pretty good out here from what I've seen. A friend went to one in Huntington for a semester before going back to IU in Indiana to be closer to his girlfriend. He loved it, just had some issues with homesickness.
  10. Ven, you missed a very funny post by funkypunnk. Nick: A true jedi never reveals his secrets.
  11. But balthazar, the difference comes with intent, and the obviousness of it all: With the cameras in stores or wherever, those are security tapes that rerecord over themselves every few hours. They are only used to document incidences soon after they occurred. When someone is driving next to you on a freeway and snapping pictures of you, it is just a tad bit different as the recording of the individual is intentional and active, whereas with the hidden cameras it is passive (it is recording that angle whether or not you are there) and it is not active (it is NOT zero-ing in on you unless it is motion activated, then it is even zero-ing in on a small animal too if one comes by).
  12. yessssssssssssss i always wanted one of those!!! sweet, now i can be one of those cool kids on the block
  13. That's right...the board forgot my birthday...oh well not too concerned there!
  14. True, but I think GM is quite happy with its current sales performance as a FWD Chevrolet. I don't see any changes with the Impala's drivetrain in the near future.

The interior is a huge letdown. Dammit GM...
  16. Same. The judgmental bit is the deal clincher for me...especially in the "you're going to Hell if you do ___" context. I don't have a problem with people with strong opinions, as long as they are capable of intelligent discourse, but I really tire quickly of moral condemnation.
  17. Same here. It's just that in my case, when it happens it happens. I have far more acquaintances than actual close friends, and my inner circle really never changes, though the outer one does about once a year when I get tired of someone's BS.
  18. I agree. I wasn't trying to suggest being a lemming, but at least for me, poor public opinion will make me pause. In the end, I am going to do what I'm going to do...but if what I'm doing is generally viewed negatively, it will just make me more open to the alternatives. Then again, my tastes are generally coinciding with that of a lot of tastemakers anyway, so for me, it is not often an issue. That all said, I like the Tribeca--a lot-- and fully intend to make it mine within the next couple years. Yes, I have seen the front, and no, it does not offend me, especially not in black.
  19. They redesigned it? Can't tell!
  20. You really misinterpreted quite a bit there! The once per year is just an overall average of when I lose touch with someone. I never just arbitrarily decide to cut people off! You're cracking me up here!! "Friendship Bylaws" That's a good one, I'll remember it for the future Seriously...what's so unreasonable about contemplating cutting someone loose when a friendship becomes one-way/ Do you really maintain a lot of one-way friendships? How do you possibly find those fulfilling and worthwhile? If someone never talks to me, never invites me to do something and never initiates any kind of contact whatsoever, what kind of friend are they? Not a very good one
  21. yesssssssssssss score one popularity point for Croc! its allllllll worth it now... B)
  22. Turbo and LA. Cool guys. One of these days I've got to meet Fly, though. He has an Aurora!
  23. Well that's good to hear!
  24. Of course I do! There are so many people who just aren't that good of friends no matter how much you try to be to them. What I generally do: 1) If I feel the friendship is getting one-way, I stop talking to them. 2) I won't talk to them until they've intitiated contact more than once or twice. 3) If they fail to do this, obviously I'm not that high of a priority for them, and I mentally decide the friendship is pretty much gone. I do this about once per year, and very rarely have I prematurely written someone off. I have "reinstated" a friendship before, but for that to happen I pretty much have to be won over all over again. It happens. Then there are the people who keep clinging to me even when I am sick to death of them...they bother me far more than the fair-weather friends.
  25. BV, would you buy a vehicle that everyone in your town thinks is crap?
