  1. I play basic piano...and I just dropped my intro to pop/rock guitar class today (long story, but it was a beginner's course with very few actual beginners in it, and therefore a real beginner like me got left very far behind...too discouraging) I prefer electronic-type instruments. I've always wanted a Clavinova as long as I can remember...
  2. They call them "curse words" because they are words used when cursing.

    Cologne

Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch. Both my sister and my best female friend say it is "orgasmic" and I have gotten so many compliments on it.
  4. Two completely different markets. I don't think it's an issue.
  5. Why? If the rural folks use "industrial" as a bad thing, we urbanites can do the same to "agricultural."

    07 SENTRA

That Sentra looks really appealing. Nissan has a hit on their hands, without a doubt. ETA: Go to the Nissan site...they put a LOT of thought into the interior. Many features that are pretty innovative. Just a lot of really well-thought-out little things.
  7. I'd say go South, but I'm a sucker for old Dixie.
  8. The West is where it's at, man...:cue Phantom Planet:
  9. LA, not to be argumentative, but there are a couple things I disagree with: As far as I'm concerned, when certain universities offer courses in Ebonics, it must exist. "Jewish" is both a religion and a race. There are many people who are ethnically Jewish and do not practice, and there are some practicing who are not ethnic, but there is a definite genetic pool (generations and generations of forming clans and being excluded from the rest of society tends to produce that). Otherwise I agree with most of what you said.
  10. Not throughout their entire lifecycle.
  11. I think caddycruiser is just a little ticked that maybe he or someone he knows cannot afford one...
  12. Yea, I saw that on Bluefly and wondered why they had women's apparel in the men's section...
  13. Like in the word "could"? Yea, that's how I pronounce it.
  14. ??? They aren't any more expensive than the outgoing models! IN FACT, THEY ARE CHEAPER! 2006 Tahoe base MSRP: $34,890 2007 Tahoe base MSRP: $33,990 The last-gen sold just fine. Why are you saying THEY were overpriced??
  15. My typing's gone to $h! recently. Too many late nights...busy semester but I love it!BTW--I don't buy GQ to tell me what to wear...mainly just to get some ideas and such. I think half of what they are selling is ridiculous, plus their fashion is all New York and mine is way more Californian. Plus, I think my sense of style is pretty keen...I knew skinny ties were gonna make a come back this year before I read it in GQ.
  16. "Whatnot" is a real word. It means something along the lines of "et cetera."
  17. Hey, blame my Jewish roomate. He told me how to (mis)spell it.
  18. I know this is subjective, but I believe there was a poll, and the G6 coupe overwhelmingly won as the more attractive of the two.
  19. Uhhh...well the Lucerne is BASED ON the DTS. I don't see how using those terms is contradictory. BLS is BASED ON the SAAB 9-3 because it shares the same platform and uses the same plant. It has more in common with the 9-3 than the Malibu (thank GOD), but they are all Epsilon-derived. The comparison to which I was referring was that of overall shapes. Honestly? You are FAR MORE LIKELY to see a review that says: "Cadillac's BLS is based on GM's global Epsilon platform, which also underpins the Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6."
  20. Yamulkahs are the Jewish caps. I guess they could be termed skull caps as well, but in America when someone says "skull cap" this is usually what is called to mind: These were a huge trend in the States 2-3 years ago.
  21. Clueless (1995)
  22. Uhhhh maybe because in America we call those "skull caps" and that is infinitely easier to say (as well as not being French).
  23. Gonna be honest: If you could convince me that the shirts at Wal*Mart were of the same soft, high-quality cotten and every bit as fashionable as the stuff on bluefly.com you could convince me to spend less. That said, I have yet to see a cheap Tshirt feel anywhere near as nice and soft as my Camp Beverly Hills Tshirt. That shirt is the most comfortable T I own and is therefore worth every cent of the $25-$30 it cost me (retail: $65)
  24. The sedan is much goofier-looking than the coupe. The coupe and convertible both have a proper, straight beltline, whereas the sedan has this gouge in it around the side mirrors. Ugly. The taillights are cheaped-out on the sedan. The interiors in all models blow chunks. If GM gave them really good interiors, then I might be able to forgive the nasty exterior of the sedan. They really just need good interiors.
