  1. OK, so having seen it in person, it is ass-nasty. Profile is identical to the Durango with the same side crease. The design just looks very cobbled-together. Interior is decent, though, but not enough to save this turkey. Overall: D-
  2. No, that is not the next CTS. EDIT: The next CTS is much livelier-looking than that dowdy car. This resembles the current STS more than anything.
  3. vitamin-water-ice cubes?! Shoot...I need to get me some of those...
  4. Well...the current one has Pontic style, though it is caught in a bit of a time warp circa 1995.
  5. If deaths are good for society, could we raise society's collective I.Q. by cleansing it from you? Just a thought :AH-HA_wink:One can take any "survival of the fittest" argument and turn it around. Razor, why don't you show some compassion for someone other than blue-collar UAW workers for a change?
  6. Same.
  7. I already got that one :AH-HA_wink:

    Pictures!

  9. ...decent-looking. In person, all the GM interiors with the exception of the new GMT-900s, SAAB Epsilons, Cadillac XLR and maybe one other vehicle/program all suffer from the same shortcoming: hard, poorly-grained plastic all over the dash. Even the Lucerne has this (yes, O.C. you were indeed right; my apologies). The brands with the best interiors across the board were: Acura, AUDI, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Mercedes-Benz and Mazda (excluding all custom and super-luxury marques). Honorable mentions to specific vehicles/programs NOT included in these brands: Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan/Lincoln Zephyr Ford Five Hundred Mercury Montego Cadillac XLR Subaru B9 Tribeca VW Tourag VW Phaeton The above list is the result of hands-on impressions at LAIAS and the Indianapolis auto shows.
  10. Why? Because I ask you to back up a pretty strong assertion that goes contrary to what our insiders tell us and contrary to what Forbes has published? Sorry, buddy, doesn't work that way. GM won't go under; there are too many safety nets. Firstly, in order for GM to go bankrupt, it has to qualify for bankruptcy. It currently does not, nor is it close to qualifying. GM also has many assets that could be sold off before going under to generate cash. The Federal Government would give GM aid just like they did to Chrysler before allowing GM to go under. Finally, Forbes published a pretty comprehensive article that was also posted on here in the last month or so that debunked bankruptcy talk. I'll try to find it for you. Sorry, I just don't buy into what the talking heads on TV are selling. Here is the Forbes article: click
  11. 55. Your mother wears Juicy Couture.
  12. The power grids should be strengthened to allow for people using their ACs.
  13. Not SSR?
  14. ...and what are you basing that on? GM isn't close to bankruptcy. At all.
  15. IMO, GM interior design has improved drastically, but a lot of the materials leave a bit to be desired. GM has been putting more hard plastic on dashes and less of the squishy foamy material.
  16. derrrr
  17. 50. "June Gloom" means something to you.
  18. Alright...I guess I was just thinking of the 900 and 9000 iterations that were before all that, which your one source said was FIAT (heh...I KNEW they figured in there somewhere!) Thanks for the clarification.
  19. Red USC hoodie for me...
  20. Since I don't have any data of my own I will take your word for it, though those two cars don't LOOK to me like they are on that platform...
  21. No, the 9-5 is not on a GM platform, and the last-gen 9-3/900 was not either. To be sure I do not know what platform it was, my guess being something related to either FIAT or Alfa Romeo.
  22. You wanna talk twilight zone? There was a Vauxhaul parked at 30th and University this morning. Seriously...talk about random!
  23. The difference is in the semantics. One is active voice, the other is passive. World of difference between SAAB spending GM's money with no result (in which case I would agree with selling SAAB) versus GM losing money on it. It's an investment: If an investor has an investment and the stock price keeps going down, the company isn't spending the investor's money, the investor is losing money on the investment. BIG DIFFERENCE (IMO)
  24. Only IHOP I know is downtown. I'm not going to make breakfast though so let's just meet outside the center @ 11
  25. I really like the headlight covers on the Alpine. Renault was ahead of its time with those... As for the Fuego, it looks no worse than any other 80s car...
