  1. I was thinking the same thing. No smiley bottom fascias that's what ruined the mazda line for me.
  2. I agree 100% with your post. I personally think Intel is more concerned about investors at this point in time.
  3. Last I heard it will cost about 1.2 billion after everything is said and done.. they make about 3 billion a quarter so besides some ego damage it will fade over quickly. Investors will be quite upset and AMD trolls will be out in full force praising that bulldozer won't have this issue. Expect Intel Marketing PR to be in full force so there will be plenty of Bomp, bom bom ba, bomp ad's flooding the tv... Honestly, Intel released SB ahead of schedule which apparently mean someone dropped the ball somewhere. Too bad AMD has been dragging its feet with bulldozer for so damn long if they could have released in January with 1155 then they could tear up the market right now. If you have a SB setup please feel free to update us about it.

  5. Yeah the latest update seemed to fix some of those issues
  6. I use ff 4.0 beta and it will have short intervals of laggyness... I haven't figured it out yet.
  7. vaporware? <- wth kind of smiley is this? lol.
  8. I know Oreilys had anco contours for buy one get one free yesterday. decent deal for well made blades
  9. Yes, I love competition.... I would love to see Cyrix come back as well. Also Amiga is coming out with a PC. It will be interesting the next 2 years. AMD has taken to much sweet time with bully. I think I first heard about it in like 07. As said they need to stand up to Intels marketing machine.
  10. AMD can't beat Intel. Especially in high-end enthusiast cpu's. Intel has enough capital to mess around with consumer cpu's. They need to worry about bread and butter stuff like Enterprise servers. They need low power multi core powerful systems that can match Intel's performance and do it for less cost and less energy. If companies start spending money on IT this year if we are out of the recession then AMD needs to its options out there with Dell HP Sun IBM and others. That will save them and then give them capital to make top tier cpus for the public later on. It needs to become profitable first. To many fanboys have put there hopes in Bully. Intel is most likely pushing out new cpus and chipsets and sockets as often as they can to hurt AMD. Think of it as USSR vs US in the arms Race. Us(intel) could drive USSR(amd) bankrupt because they keep wasting money playing catch up. The need Dell, HP, Acer, etc. to start using there chips in laptops and desktops. the DIY market won't save them.
  11. I love the Hywire. Its a shame that GM like forgot about it. It still looks good and is relevant to this day. Also is GM the only company that makes functioning concepts? the sixteen was drivable as well as the hywire.. and a crap load of others.

New Green server coming in 2011 maybe Sandy bridge maybe bulldozer not sure yet. trying to cut power consumption down. mostly to run 2 VM's, my main webserver, and my phone stuff and It will power the other 2 if i need there capabilities at that time. I have a some Poweredges at a Colo right now that do most of what I need. whole house is gigabit via HP Procurve stuff and cisco stuff Srv. 1 has 4gigabit port and srv. 2 my tower have 2 gigabit ports so file transfers are awesome and don't affect other network traffic. I have others like Sun micro's and Dell PowerEdges and old power Mac's but above is what count's There's my Systems Hope you like them If not buy me a new one?
  13. Satty, should be slapped! Sadly I always resort to the dell adamo but don't want to pay $900 for a netbook. I will probably settle for Lattitude 13 though. I loathe buying technology. Even though I love Technology... As far as Latitudes vs Think Pad's.... Dell has the upper hand in this current market. My boss always asks me for a purchase request on a laptop and it will be a e6410 but I'm trying to save them money by keeping my abused D630. Its so nice to walk up to a cisco switch that's down and use the console port. DB-9 to DB-9. with no crappy usb adapters.
  14. My paired 470's on my x58 run amazing as well. When I need my computer equipment to be reliable I can't rely on "hacks" no matter how good some one says it is.
  15. The understeer isn't to bad. this made my day though...
  16. I went laptop shopping today and would have purchased a HP DM3-2010US but it had designs etched into it with swirls... I want a plain brushed aluminum laptop with decent specs and realistic price. It seems no one makes what I want. I don't really need a laptop as my field/personal dell d630 can handle anything(even has RS-232 port on it?) I have it pushed to the max as far as up grades go. I would love a Dell Adamo black 13 or Mac Air(I would not use osx on it though) but price is too high. I love the new dell Lat's and Precisions but my dell is just as capable. Is it me or has no one made a sexy laptop recently. I have a ancient "2001" Toshiba M3505 and it is awesome but toshiba destroyed the portege line since then. I also loved the Fujitsu Q2010. Thank you for listening to my rant that the mircocenter sales rep wasn't interested in. Its 2010 and the laptops seem to be bulky and plasticy and have weird designs in them. Its a shame.

    a 2.5L?

If only GM did something like that. Although 320 is optimistic out of a 2.1 T and try to keep some reliability. High boost isn't the best thing for engines.
  18. Thanks for your response! Once the car is started the security light stays solid. other than that it blinks when the car is off. What is really interesting is that this car only has 80,000 miles on it. I wouldn't expect the compressor clutch or or anything like that to be worn out. This car was parked in a attached garage its whole life too. But the wires look a little dry rotted as well as the belt. I actually haven't owned this car that long that's why I'm asking so many questions its a new beast and I primarily drive my other car the buick is my "nice" car! lol. I will look into the passkey. I remember reading about by passing the passkey with a couple resistors and an ic from radioshack a couple years ago. Might look into it again. Im used to my other car where it has massive steel frame rails that I could jack the car up on. this new unibody stuff seems so flimsy.
  19. its a 1998 Buick LeSabre limited 3800 When I got the car the Security light stays solid any idea what could cause that? When I turn the heat on normally use the Auto button and set a temp. but I can see the fan meter on the read out go to 100% but the blower motor won't do anything. In a couple minutes you will hear it rev up and then shut off then repeats that a couple times (the blower motor will stay on for a little longer than the first rev.) then about 15-20 into my drive the blower motor kicks on and stays on and generally don't have any issues after that. Any thoughts? also where is the blower located? I spent 15 minutes trying to find it but no luck... Also does anyone know of any car ramps that are low profile enough to drive this car up on? My older metal ramps are too steep and will hit the bumper if I try to drive up them. I would jack it up and rest it on stands but the jack points are wide enough for me to jack the car up on and set it on jack with out crushing a rolled edge of the unibody. the jacking surface is like a 2inch area... Also I noticed that the AC clutch is creating metal shavings... Is it possible to just replace the clutch? I would hate to replace the compressor for just the clutch. If need be I have vacuum pumps and all the necessary components to install a new ac compressor but I rather not do that... Last question for now, Anyone have spark plug suggestions? I think I'm going to order some Taylor wires. Is there a guide to check coil output? I think one of the cylinders has a weak fire. I will appreciate any response.
  20. A red volt on I-69. A light blue MGB from the 70's

    a 2.5L?

You make some very good points... I guess I think It is wasteful to make a new engine instead of improving what they already have like the 2.2 2.4 2.0 and the 1.8 im sure that 1.8 has some hidden ponies as well.
  22. In a related note how long do the coil packs last in a 98 series 2 3800?
  23. How is the back seat room? can a 200lb male sit comfortably in the back? If I Can save enough money In about a year or 2 I might consider this after falling in love with my LeSabre. I seen one on the road and from the looks the back seat seemed to be small. Also Trunk space? Can you fit say 4 luggage bags and a cooler? I have been meaning to go test drive this but last time I walked into a Buick dealer to look at a lacrosse the sales people were less than helpful I guess a young male isn't a serious buyer in a Buick dealer yet.
