  1. Nice, but kinda flat. I'm hoping the production version will have a mildly v-shaped rear decklid as opposed to the purely flat DTS style. Excellent render, NOS
  2. Note that the main page says it could "possibly be based on the Kappa platform." I think it's equally likely that it may be based on the Opel Astra, as there already exists a 2+2 coupe: and a (albeit fairly large) roadster: I think the coupe (Astra GTC) is particularly hot, and would make a great GTi / A3 fighter. Further, I'm feelin' that both cars will be given the name 9-1 and slot in underneath the 9-3 as it moves upmarket with its next redesign.
  3. My 2001 optionless Alero has crank windows. I do sometimes miss being able to roll down all the windows while driving home from work on summer nights..
  4. Yellowjacket, that's pure zex. Monte and Burn's are also excellent.
  5. I agree. And, I don't see why everyone keeps comparing the Aura's wheels to the Sebring's. They don't even have the same number of spokes.
  6. Here's my first design competition entry: Saab on Kappa.
  7. Just to clarify, BMWs, Porsches, and Bentleys are not retro. They are evolutionary. Unlike many American brands, their design DNA isn't overhauled every 5 years. The same cues are modernized and reinterpreted. When Ford jumps between completely different styling themes with the Mustang, and then suddenly steps back 40 years (completely ignoring the in-between cars), that is retro.
  8. The new Escalade IS class leading.
  9. People are calling the new Slade "softer," yet it definitely has more straight lines and is edgier than the outgoing model.
  10. Saab is awesome. It's one of the few GM brands with actual cache.
  11. Here is my ideal vision of GM's US lineup: Chevrolet (high volume) Opel (hip/performance oriented; to replace Pontiac & Saturn) Hummer (trendy niche trucks) Saab (euro premium) Cadillac (luxury with an edge)
  12. One thing I don't like are the windows on the rear doors. They look really small...
  13. The proportions of the headlights/grill remind me a bit of the Terradyne.
  14. It's obvious that razor can read, but I have serious doubts as to whether he is able to comprehend any of it. His posts always go off on unrelated tangents.
  15. There's a reason why doctors and engineers are paid more than factory workers. It's called supply & demand. Many people are willing to go straight into blue collar jobs after high school. Fewer people are willing to put in the work to gain higher level skills. Personally, I would love to see all unions dissolve. The market should determine wages- not union leaders. Let union members fend for themselves just like everyone else. And razor- your comments about the uselessness of white collar jobs make you look INCREDIBLY ignorant. Additionally (unless you are ~70 years old), stop referring to everyone who disagrees with you as a "youngling"/other synonyms. By doing so, you imply that you believe your wisdom to exceed ours- which it does not.
