  1. The Fiat dealer in Kirkland Washington shipped out to their sister store in California over half of their 250 car inventory. Clearly not a car that is selling here in the Washington state market. I can see down south this little cheap run about should do well as an initial starter car.
  2. That would be an excellent use! Just think if you had a Chevy Volt with a CNG Generator rather than gas. Better yet, take the GMC Terrain / Chevy Equinox and put that body on a volt power train using CNG. That is an auto that can sell in large numbers. Use a Fuelmaker FMQ 2-36 which time fills at 1 gallon per hr and you can fill up the tank over night and drive it for the week and then fill it up at the end of the week, have fun driving around for the weekend, fuel Sunday night and commute for the week in a very clean auto.

    Hmmm ...

I love those 2 door SUV's, but would pass on this one, you can see the rust on the lower body panels, the missing plastic on the dash makes me think they did their own hack job on electronics. It is a serious project auto. Think there are better ones for just a little bit more.
  4. You would think if they were real journalist, they would know a hatchback from a feakin wagon. Course the problem today is most journalist are pushing an agenda rather than reporting neutral news.
  5. At 5'10" 170lbs, I am the statistical median American male. I don't at all feel the Encore or Escape are sardine cans. I really enjoyed my time in the Escape (as you will read in my review). Looking forward to it.
  6. Love it, make sure you buy the extended warranty!
  7. I wonder how long before people say enough is enough I am tired of being shoved into a sardine can. I do not see compact/sub compact taking over the world from the mid size. I do sadly see the full size reducing to a niche market.
  8. True, Nissan I read somewhere did not expect the 100+ temps to have the affect on their batteries that they did. Did they not test them in Death Valley? I would have thought they would want to make sure they could handle extremes and yet the battery packs seem to not be able to handle even mid range temps very well. Seems the Engineers I would think fudged their test numbers by a factor or 2 or maybe more.
  9. Interesting, not a car person per say, but I do see potential for Cadillac finally having a successful International brand deployement with the ability to deliver on the "Standard of the World" Slogan. Looks like interesting times ahead for GM, just hope they do not forget that we also need to change to alternative fuel options as petrol and Ethanol is not a long term viable option. Time to take the next step. CNG baby. Wonder if Frack baby Frack will be a positive or negative term in the press?
  10. Small is not always better, The Mazda K8 V6 1.8L comes to mind with it's numb numbers of 144hp with 115lb-ft of torque and 7000 red line. Personally this was a cool engine for how small it was but showed that more is not always better in the cylinder count. I would think we could find the perfect sweet spot for the size of 4, 6 and 8 cylinder engines.
  11. How about we rid the Stupid people who allowed Toll roads to begin with. The Curse of these roads on the east coast is one reason I will never move there. The east coast seems to be incapable of properly budgeting and managing state gov and roads. I cannot believe the tax payers allowed this to happen in 1940.
  12. I would love to see the Encore in a Gold mist hue. That color shift paint that can go from a greyish gold to a bright gold. I suspect it would look killer in a Blue Green shifting teal paint job. I think car companies need to use more of the color shift paint jobs like ChromaFlair or Rust-Oleum color shift paints.
  13. We are at least 50 if not 75 years from this even being any where close to prime time. 100 years before it will be ready to become the standard. Eventually I do think we will see pure electric that can go for thousands of miles on a real road trip. NOW - CNG is the Answer, Compressed Natural Gas is the logical step away from Arab / Foreign oil and onto our own energy source. We have the worlds largest deposits. Rock on CNG
  14. This is no Surprise, you have a very limited amount of people who are willing to spend this kind of money on a 40 mile limit car. Before anyone says but no they are 80 miles, the Leafs in the Seattle area are only averaging 40-50 miles at most and there is a huge forum here where they have been very vocal about it. Nissan has promised to replace the batteries once they have a newer better battery, but for now, it is only a city commuter car. Worse yet is the tax payers are footing the bill for the bloody charging stations being put in at the park and rides and for the electricity they consume. I feel we should get a rebate in tax dollars we pay for gas here due to this free bee. Time to turn off the free hand outs. They need to pay and survive on their own.
  15. Has anyone found what the real fuel mileage is for these baby Duramax engines? I have searche and seens numbers from the mid 20's to the mid 30's but nothing really stated by GM. I am wondering just how fuel efficient they are. I would love to have the 2.8 in a mid size SUV with mileage in the mid 30's.
  16. It really is amazing how people can be so stupid in regards to driving and taking care of their auto.
  17. But the midwest is flat and I would agree that FWD should get you around even in the winter snow since it is so flat form what I have seen of the midwest. Yet on the coasts with mountains, AWD/4WD is the only way to go.
  18. Would love to see pictures with the Weather Tech mats in as I am interested in them for my own car. Thanks for the update.
  19. Amazing the incompetence of people. If this ever makes it on any body of BC waterways with marine patrol it will never pass inspection and be confiscated. This has to be a backwater redneck who thought his idea was cool but is really dangerous. WOW
  20. I owned the Sentra as that was the car my wife had when we married, but I got rid of it soon afterwards for better american auto's.
  21. Very nice update, I look forward to hearing how a road trip is in the car and what the real world mileage you get.
  22. I agree, I think from an OEM stand point, no useful purpose in building a Stepside for the masses. From a 3rd party upgrade/parts supplier stand point it would make sense to build and offer for sale to the public a StepSide bed that can be had in full metal or with more traditional wood slates in the bottom. I can see a custom market for these parts.
  23. I disagree on the price since the Kia Soul and Scion xB would cost a little bit more when equipped like the cube. Those are both over priced also for what you get. A cheap POS sold to keep people from having better auto's especially when you look at the price.
  24. Interesting, in the city, it seems to be a perfect fit and option, but even then, I find the price very high compared to alternative auto's out there in this same market segment.
