  1. BME & mercedees were far from being a 'world class standard' circa the early '80s. BMW interiors for one were horrendously cheap & spartan. BMW of today (still not great) wouldn't even recognize early '80s BMW. Both have made huge leaps in interior quality, appointments, equipment & luxury, but they were pretty bad then. You need to cut yer revisionist history timespan down a bit. '81 5-series: WOW That is one freakin cheap ass interior.
  2. 91 Escort GT white just like I used to own back in the day. That was a hell of a pocket rocket Mazda built for Ford.
  3. There is a lovely Maroon 454 SS suburban in my neck of the woods. Course they have had it parked the last year, but I do like the looks of it. No reason not to have a full SS lineup.
  4. Boy even with the cracks in the plastic nose I would if I could afford it buy this baby. Like the Monte, it is a lovely faithful dog. Looking at the photo's again, I did forget just how terrible the trunks were for getting stuff into them. I am surprised they did not open it upmore with that kind of trunk lid.
  5. Sweet ride. I wonder why people cannot park square in the parking spaces. I would be afraid some moron would ding this lovely lady!
  6. Awesome, I look forward to hearing from you. My wif loves it when I RainX the windshields. She loves how the rain just beeds up and flys off and tends to use the wipers in delay mode more. So I truly hope you have a great experiance with it in the oncoming rain.
  7. So is you who is causing all the fracking???? boy lately the joints just seem to creeak.
  8. I totally agree, for an entry level premium car, this engine is pathetic. Yet the Lemmings will buy it.
  9. WOW Me Likey Likey!!! Now I do see VM/Porsche in the over all body but I do like what they have done in taking it to the next level. Should be interesting.

  11. After 6-9 months on a new paint job, clay is awesom to make sure you get no problems and get the smoothest paint job around.
  12. Sweet Find, I love the family connection with my own love afair of this generation, the Monte Carlo. This is an awesome car for someone to buy.
  13. Yup, seems everything is going small windows, high doors with protection built in to meet 5 star requirement. Yet that same extra protection will be causig accidents when no one can see out the car door or do a proper shoulder check. No wonder I do not have anything newer than 2008.
  14. DOA by the end of this year. A model of business that is NOT sustanable due to outlandish product that does not meet the bulk of the citizens needs. They built as if this was before our great recession, not after it. Total Vaporware and I do not expect them to be here next year.
  15. Seems to be the SS family of auto's I mentioned on another thread. Have all Chevy's end at LTZ and then they have the SS family! Rock On Chevy
  16. The mistake is some thing these are the destination when these models are the path. Cadillac will evolve and they will get there. The ATS for the reality of it is the real first step post Chapter 11. Yet both of you prove a point I was interested in seeing if anyone else would join me on. To become a world standard, to move beyond what is to what can become, one must have faith. I consider myself agnostic/atheist when it comes to religion, yet that does not mean I do not have faith in what engineers and companies can do to compete and be a standard. Apple became a standard Microsoft is a standard Cisco is a standard GM was a standard at one time, they can become the standard again. It starts with each one here to realize we all have the responsibility to give feedback to GM and other companies we care about. Make sure they hear us as our intentions are meant to be best and then hold onto the faith that they will not only hear, but incorporate it into their business to achieve that standard. ATS & CTS truly are a standard I believe. SRX, XTS and Escalade all play an important role in achieving this, if you talk to any of us that have owened 1 or more Escalades they have achieved that standard already for full size SUV's. SRX will help them move in the right direction for CUV sales and the XTS has an important fleet business model that helps Cadillac be seen. As long as the design language is consistent and flows through out all models, you will see a consistent message that will grow peoples perception of Cadillac favorably. Keep the Faith on GM and Cadillac the Standard of the World!
  17. All emails I get on the Spark keep saying summer 2012, so no idea if it is early or late. Saw the DEMO Spark on the freeway today and it ended up being next to a Mini. Pretty cool little car. Taller than a mini but better looking IMO. I am actually really excited by this little car.

  19. but he's not a politician, he's not elected..... Are you sure???? Loki is a Dictator and will challange the Avengers this summer, so that makes him a politician!
  20. It could have been me, or it could have been the product. Like with your experience, light rain water usually sheeted off the windshield, but heavier rain required the use of the wipers and I got a smear effect that made it harder to see out of the window. I wasn't happy and gave away the bottle of RainEx to someone. I would be willing to give it a try again, if that's the only thing out there to help prevent bugs from accumulating & hardening on the windshield as the summer months approach (the downside to living in the more rural parts of southern NJ). I would recommend you take a razor blade to your window to scrap off any dried on crud, then two times of cleaning the windshield with your favorite window cleaner. At this point then spray the RainX onto your windshield and using circular buffing motion to smear it all over the window. This should leave you with a slight brown covered paper towl. Let it dry for at least 15 min. Then with clean paper towel, buff to a shine. During heavy rain, you will still need to use your windshield wipers, but it should never smear. My window along with using the RainX windshield fluid stays shinny and clean even during the summer when I hit all our big bugs here in Seattle, Spray spray as I drive and the windshield comes clean. Good Luck with trying it again,
  21. I am very excited to see this beast of burden. It should be a kick ass amazing machine.
  22. I am pretty sure this is how all politicians think
