NOT to be political, but focused on the trade and it's relation to the auto industry. So many of the electrical components come from the Asian rim. As one can see from the chart below, costs have gone up across the board due to the trade war, but no real positive change in that relation and with the increased cost of auto's, we have all stated that auto's are becoming less of an ownership thing for everyone. Companies have started to move manufacturing from China to other 3rd world places in the Asian rim such as Malaysia and one has to wonder if that will really change anything. WHAT DO YOU think will happen with auto costs and as companies move to EVs in replacing ICE, does that mean we truly will see lower costs or are the higher prices here to stay? WHAT DO YOU think of the relation of trade deficit to the auto companies ability to deliver QUALITY ICE/EV auto's at prices people will pay / can afford? https://www.axios.com/trump-trade-deficit-world-china-6c0e421a-872d-4232-951c-511e0c785f68.html

That is why I called it a Rebadge bigger of the Chevy Blazer. There is NOTHING Cadillac about it. Anyone that says they used Escala DNA is smoking too much dope.

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes-AMG Unveils the AMG GLB 35
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Mercedes-Benz
The only place you could probably point to for valid numbers would be Porsche. Otherwise, while there are those of us that want hot SUVs. I think it is a much smaller number than @smk4565 realizes. Would love a new SS suv to replace the Trailblazer SS.- 57 replies

Totally agree, amazing the various auto's from Asian, European and American that are early morning or evening and in the dark colors with no lights on that you cannot see and I really doubt they can see well but I wonder how many have not cracked their owners manual and ended up turning off the auto lights on / off especially as they do not understand the delayed timer. That on top of the spotty electrical quality.

Took the wife out for breakfast and was behind a brand new Chevrolet Spark, no plate yet, just the paper in the window. They braked and my wife asks me if the lights were supposed to do that. Give Chevy Kudos for a nice looking Subcompact auto, sadly, left brake light came on before right side and cyclops LED lights which then came on like twinkling xmas lights before a steady red light. If that is the way they are building them, no wonder GM cannot build a competitive subcompact. the electrical sucks.

Airlines I refuse to fly on due to horror experiences in the last 5 years: United, American, Spirit, Frontier and Southwest. Mostly due to rude service, poor cleaning and nickle and diming you to death. Alaska is my preferred airline right now, then Delta for Domestic. International, you cannot beat Korean, Asiana, Cathay Pacific, Singapore, Qantas, Nippon, KLM and Lufthansa. Never have had a bad flight with any of them.

Be interesting to see what the end result is, I can see where they got this from by using Escala style with the best pictures of the front end are on this site and it does tend to imply the Blazer like headlights. https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1120463_2021-cadillac-escalade-spy-shots Yet you can see so many wires to LED lights screwed on that I think much is just put on to make it street legal. Interesting that they have the Chevy, GMC, and current Escalade along with Lincoln and the rest of the competition. Here is to being positive they will go Luxury big time and keep the heritage of the Escalade.

Industry News: NHTSA Testing Mirrorless Cars
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Industry News
Total of 3 people, not sure why 3 compared to the traditional 2 but that is how Tesla went. -
Yes, looks like a larger size of the blazer to me.

Cadillac Society web site mocked up what they think the new Escalade will look like and I have to say if that is what comes out, FAILURE! http://cadillacsociety.com/2019/08/29/2021-cadillac-escalade-rendered/#comment-44603 Rebadge of the Blazer is NOT what you want on the Escalade no the weird L shaped rear lights. Neither picture says luxury to me.

I would think you would as a Trailer is the biggest benefit, talk about a single back up, spot on to the hitch, lower it, secure it and away you go. Easiest connection ever with a BU Camera and with the HD ones now, probably even easier.

There are two more seats behind the center seated driver. Robert you can actually see the fold up seat behind the drivers seat. -
I am hoping so too, yet also reality of how poorly the Italian autos are built.

99% of the time I do not use it, but have found a backup camera when parking in garages in Seattle make it a life saver of getting in close to the walls without hitting it.

Seems while some think GM is a rag doll to be blasted on social media about, GM is Flints #1 employer for the area. Plus adding more jobs. https://media.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/home.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2019/aug/0805-cca.html Flint seems to even list them as the number 1 employer. https://www.citytowninfo.com/places/michigan/flint/work

Seems Climate activist are attacking auto dealerships in Europe and destroying said Autos. One Group calling themselves "Rocks in the Gearbox" are under investigation for this damage and threats. As such, security is being stepped up for the Frankfurt Auto Show. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-autoshow-frankfurt-security/frankfurt-auto-show-tightens-security-after-anti-car-vandalism-idUSKCN1VJ1TY

Yet they did seem to nail this one for factual news reporting. http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=201920200AB5 Seems this is a bill aimed at more than Uber and Lyft but any company that employees thousands of contractors long term, they are not contractors but actual employees. This clearly defines employees versus independent contractors.

Interesting is that China has agreed to allow Tesla to sell their auto's tax free in China saving the 10% sales tax. Gotta wonder how the other auto companies are going to respond to this favor-ism. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-tesla-china-tax/china-will-exempt-tesla-cars-from-purchase-tax-idUSKCN1VK1AU
