  1. WOW, Clearly they must not sell well there as you cannot find one here that is AWD in that price range. Must be our tech boom that is keeping prices at msrp cause that pricing gets ya FWD. Interesting. If I was interested in one, it would even with having to pay sales tax make it worth the PTO time to go out of state, buy it and drive it back home.
  2. Seems like he might have passed on July 23rd as various news outlets state the hospital put him on life support to allow his family to get to the hospital. Once his partner and sons where there, they turned off the machines. SAD and I wish the best for a recovery of his family.
  3. I have to disagree, at $37,000 you have a FWD stripped appliance Q3, you have to move into the mid $45K range to get an AWD proper luxury CUV. The Envision is not Lackluster especially when you can pickup a near fully loaded one with discounts at $40k. I would take the ultra quiet Envision over the current Q3 on the market.
  4. Very cool and next years 60 kWh battery pack will be liquid cooled rather than air and should be way better than this 40 kW pack.
  5. I like the sliding comparison of photos of incoming model versus outgoing model on this Porsche CUV. https://www.motor1.com/news/258583/porsche-macan-side-by-side/ I have to say I still love the look of the Chrysler Me Four Twelve and they should have built it. https://www.motor1.com/news/258494/chrysler-me-four-twelve-concept-we-forgot/
  6. Porsche has a very loyal fan following and yet with that said they have really only ever built a couple cars that I truly liked. Porsche 928, their first front engine car that I really liked and then their traditional mid engine but sexy 959. Amazing what prices are happening for the 959. http://www.thedrive.com/news/22402/1985-porsche-959-prototype-expected-to-go-for-around-1-5-million-at-auction
  7. @frogger Interesting as the Euro dash is much better than the American dash Will just posted. The American 2019 Q3 dash is more on par with the Buick Encore and Cadillac XT4 I feel. Style tweaks between the 2019 and 2018 not so much noticeable to me. I think for the difference of $5000 there is more than enough people who will be happy with the less peppy Buick motor over the Q3 price. Agree, but for the current $5,000 price difference, does the current 2018 Audi really make it that much better than the Encore?

This interior is much better than the 2018 model and competes more with the buick encore and cadillac XT4.
  9. How do you guys feel about the Buick Encore Premium version going up against the Q3? There is no Avenir version yet for the Encore and the Q3 competes against the Encore. So a fully loaded is $38,550 compared to a fully loaded Q3 Premium Plus Sport 2.0 TFSI Quattro tiptronic at $43,674. It is interesting to note that Audi uses a 2.0L Turbo 4 requiring Premium fuel for 200HP/207 lb-ft of torque compared to Buicks 1.4L Turbo 4 using regular fuel for 153 HP / 177 lb-ft of torque both auto's in AWD.
  10. Agree, very sudden,, but then if rumors are correct that it was an embolism caused by the risky surgery, then this was to be expected. http://www.autonews.com/article/20180724/OEM02/180729864/sergio-marchionne-embolism-cancer-surgery-italian-report?AID=%2F20180724%2FOEM02%2F180729864 http://autoweek.com/article/car-news/marchionne-suffered-embolism-during-cancer-surgery https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-07-25/sergio-marchionne-ceo-who-steered-fiat-chrysler-dead-at-66
  11. GNX yes for the Sedans, but a GNX type treatment for the CUVs would be an outstanding Halo CUV for them. Or apply a GMC Typhoon but luxury Performance Focus to the Buick CUV lineup.
  12. RIP, wishing the best to his partner and their two sons. Be interesting to see what the official cause of death is.
  13. I have never had these problem using those types of gas cans. Maybe the guy did not read or follow instructions. Yes, Yes he did from City, to county, to state and federal, every corrupt unstable political hasbeen.
  14. RIP Sergio, I never cared for how he managed FCA, but my thoughts go out to his family on their loss. I do have to question how a simple procedure ended up taking his life so soon. I hope they release his autopsy results.
  15. Buick needs a Grand National version on their CUV's just as GMC needs to bring back a Typhoon / Syclone version for their truck / CUV line. Not everyone wants just luxury only. How about some luxury with performance American Style!
  16. Yup plenty, but that still does not mean that we cannot give Americans a break on cost of getting around.
  17. That was my wonder if the Platinum is their most popular package as the v-sport is awesome, but I cannot see it selling as well as the Platinum. No matter what, gotta be happy with the ATPs that Cadillac is getting for their awesome product. Interesting package levels for the 2018 models: WHY is there not a consistent naming of all levels between all products? ATS - base, luxury, premium luxury, premium performance, V CTS - base, luxury, premium luxury, v-sport, v-sport premium luxury, V XTS - base, luxury, premium luxury, platinum, v-sport platinum CT6 - base, luxury, premium luxury, platinum, XT4 - base, luxury, premium luxury, sport XT5 - base, luxury, premium luxury, platinum, Escalade - base, luxury, premium luxury, platinum You can build your XT4 here https://www.cadillac.com/crossovers-suvs/xt4-crossover/build-and-price/trim My XT4 built the way I would want it with Autumn Metallic and Sedona interior color came out to $57,150. One thing already I AM NOT happy on with the XT4 is you have to pay $1,500 for the Cadillac User Experience to get Apple Carplay or Android Auto. Not fine, should be included in all levels of the stereo system. This also requires you adding the Bose Centerpoint surround sound audio system for another $1,500 dollars. As a comparison to the XT5, AWD Platinum fully loaded is $72,945
  18. Very Cool, This makes me wonder how Cadillac does on their various name plates. ?
  19. Z4 versus Supra Which one do I like best. Hate to say it but the Supra looks better even in Camo. https://jalopnik.com/oh-cool-its-the-toyota-supra-and-bmw-z4-just-hanging-ou-1827837643 Plenty of close up pics of the Supra and Z4 at the story link above.
  20. Gotta Love when a Dealer keeps an old look alive on new trucks. http://www.thedrive.com/news/16762/chevrolet-dealer-keeping-the-classic-pickup-look-alive-with-this-cheyenne-super-10-build Cheyenne Super 10
  21. I for one would not rent out my auto's as renters tend to not take care of an auto and flog them. Yet with that said I wish GM well with this new rental model. https://www.maven.com/us/?evar25=GM_COM_Our_Brands Hmmmm ?
  22. Cool Video of the woman who led the group that designed the ZR2 truck and getting muddy with it. http://www.thedrive.com/video/21862/getting-muddy-in-the-chevrolet-colorado-zr2-with-the-woman-who-brought-it-to-life
  23. http://www.thedrive.com/news/22347/2019-toyota-86-trd-special-edition-instant-collector Seems no more HP but tuned for better handling a Toyota 86 TRD for 2019.
  24. Great source to follow the Clean California Emissions info: http://calcleancars.org/ Intersting read on this same thread: https://money.usnews.com/investing/news/articles/2018-07-23/us-to-propose-revoking-calif-ability-to-set-vehicle-emissions-rules-mandate-evs-source Another site that does a pro/con writeup on the CARB versus EPA: https://www.dmv.org/articles/epa-emissions-standards-revision Who knew that the Forestry Service arm of the Government is putting in place their own standards to quiet and reduce emissions of non-road petro powered products. Specifically fire pumps and chain saws but also to be applied to other appliance type devices. EPA and CARB Emission Standards To Control Nonroad Exhaust Emissions of Fire Pumps and Chain Saws https://www.fs.fed.us/eng/pubs/html/02511204/02511204.htm Washington state is working hard to remove emission pollution and road noise. As such of course EV's are a well supported auto option with rebates and discounts. With that said Washington is a partner in supporting CARB over the Federal standards and requiring all new auto's to meet the CARB standard. https://ecology.wa.gov/Air-Climate/Air-quality/Vehicle-emissions With 13 states fully implementing the CARB standard, 3 states partially implementing them with full implementation happening between 2020-2025 and being voter approved in the west coast states, I honestly do not see the feds being able to take away State Rights in governing themselves. If they still move forward to repeal California's CARB. I suspect it will end up in the courts and last well over 2 years by which time Trump should be out of office.
  25. Wall street has been making billions off the back of hard working americans. Time to flip it on them.
