  1. Meh, Who Cares, 1 MPG in real world driving, no one is going to notice except some idiot zealot out there who is only looking for a reason to sue GM.
  2. I have to wonder how much of his Tweeting clashes with the SEC and FTC rules? ? Gotta think that this is part of his attack to hurt Short Sellars. Currently it looks like according to other news stories cost short sellars up to $13 billion dollars. Crazy times we live in.
  3. Cool Story for Aerosmith fans. https://jalopnik.com/american-pickers-finds-aerosmiths-original-internationa-1828196077
  4. Thanks for posting, tried it hoping like you it would work and it dumped me into a Fiesta.
  5. Share the link here, I am curious to see if it will pull up for me. Thank you
  6. Too bad it is offline now. Wonder how many days till it will be back up?
  7. Arghhhhhhh, will have to see who got it. https://jalopnik.com/the-2019-ford-ranger-starts-at-24-000-but-configure-yo-1828164523 Based on the Story, seems to hit $50,000 for a fully loaded FX4 version. WOW ? Found the original source, Off-road.com has plenty of screen grabs. https://www.off-road.com/blog/2018/08/07/2019-ford-ranger-details-on-pricing-options/ Here is just one of the many levels.
  8. Why did you not grab some screen shots Skeeter?
  9. @ocnblu I see someone started your type of Uber. Amish Uber https://www.autoblog.com/2018/08/07/amish-uber-horse-and-buggy-michigan-video/
  10. plug-in hybrid model that will use a new three-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine That is their smartest move to date for a plug-in hybrid with generator.
  11. Cause you can have it in any color as long as it is Black! ?
  12. That makes sense if you sell a ton of specific models, but what if you have a few models that can be profitable but sell in such small numbers that it does not make sense to have an assembly plant in every country. Then you would not want that from a business standpoint and just import them. This is where we see a killing off of a wide diverse options in auto's as it does not make business sense to build every auto in every country. Sometimes importing is the better way to go in regards to giving consumers a wide choice to choose from.
  13. Having grown up and built race cars, I can respect and understand the sound vibration feel of an ICE auto, yet I also would love the much faster Star Wars sounding 600HP EV Mustang. I would take the EV over the ICE. Way past the maintenance of ICE auto's and ready for the lower maintenance of an EV auto.
  14. http://www.autonews.com/article/20180801/RETAIL01/180809976/july-us-auto-sales?AID=%2F20180801%2FRETAIL01%2F180809976 Good read on the industry, we have seen these numbers in what Will posted, but always good to review them again. It would seem that the Germans especially Daimler is leading the charge in Sales Incentives. One has to wonder what is going on in those companies.
  15. This is going to be a really interesting watch as Subaru I just read is one of the shortest on lot sits of any automaker. Subarus sit on average of 42 days before being sold in comparison to Fiat the longest of any dealership sitting on the lot for 6 months plus.
  16. So if your jeep was everything you have now, just an electric powertrain you would still stay with gas when you could charge at home much cheaper?
  17. Munich has dictated an end to diesel taxis by 2020 so the option will be gas only, hybrids or evs. Makes sense to get their Electric CUV into the market and show it can do duty in a demanding taxi market.
  18. Searched every Buick dealer in Washington state, found one Verano on the lot, otherwise it would seem the dealers here do a better job of managing inventory than the east coast.
  19. I totally forgot about this, but it was funny and cool all at the same time.

  20. Anyone ever eat Veroni? Italian type of Salami looks and sounds yummy. Italian traditional cured meats at a much higher quality level than traditional cheap versions. http://www.philly.com/philly/business/veroni-italian-food-company-ham-prosciutto-mortadella-new-jersey-plant-20180807.html
  21. Story is a year old, but I have to say has some valid points made. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/04/25/cars-are-sitting-on-the-lot-longer-even-as-dealers-sweeten-the-offers.html They talk about how the average MSRP from all auto companies is now based on a 10.5% incentive level in the suggested retail price. This tells me that instead of selling a solid auto at a reasonable price, they are jacking up the price to then tear it down with huge incentive to artificially make one think they are getting a great deal. I would rather have them sell a few less auto's at higher ATP than be the volume leader.
  22. Seems I could get this data accurate up to the day, but that requires a $450 a year membership in NIADA. https://www.niada.com/
  23. This is the data as of 2016, I could not find any newer but it shows the average number of days in dealer inventory by segment, make and manufacturer. 2016-10-dtt.xls Would love to get a 2017 version to compare.
  24. Latest story on auto's that the American Public do not want. Dated April 17th 2018 https://247wallst.com/special-report/2018/04/17/cars-americans-dont-want-to-buy-3/ #15 Buick Envision Avg days on lot 161.8 #14 Cadillac ATS Avg days on lot 164.9 #13 Cadillac XTS Avg days on lot 165 #12 Buick Cascada Avg days on lot 167.3 #11 Hyundai Genesis Avg days on lot 169.2 #10 Cadillac CTS Avg days on lot 172.3 #9 Buick LaCrosse Avg days on lot 175.9 #8 Jeep Patroit Avg days on lot 176.0 #7 Buick Regal Avg days on lot 177.7 #6 Toyota Yaris Avg days on lot 178.4 #5 Nissan Quest Avg days on lot 185.1 #4 Chrysler 200 Avg days on lot 187.4 #3 Volkswagen CC Avg days on lot 189.4 #2 Dodge Dart Avg days on lot 207.8 #1 Buick Verano Avg days on lot 223.6 Buick was the top slow selling auto line in 2017. This they state is due to Americans having lost their love of sedans and coupes. Buick Envision is the only CUV on the top 15 list and they believe this is due to inventory issues based on a lack of diverse versions as the bulk of them are fully loaded high priced models that get large discounts at the end of the year. Interesting point made is that the Cadillac ATS is the only car to be on the list since 2015 and is a head scratcher as they say it is a superior driving machine compared to BMW. This was compiled based on 2017 data from Kelley Blue Book. They took the average number of days a model sat on the dealer's lot before being sold.
  25. That rocks Thanks for sharing.
