  1. So little you know Grasshopper!
  2. Might be more than you think, Germany is clearly not happy with VW Diesel and is pushing for the same program, same settlement terms as the US. Where Germany goes, the rest of Europe is sure to follow.
  3. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, to all humans everywhere, the desire for Freedom of life, press, communication, to raise one without control of a government. I thank the multiple generations of Marines on both sides of my family for the freedoms I have today. Oo Rah To each and everyone member on this forum, Thank you for participating and giving to this country no matter how we see things, each of us offers DIVERSITY that makes us STRONGER! Happy Thanks Giving Oo Rah!
  4. Totally understandable as the expense of getting them recertified here and the over all image makes me think VW is going to just walk away from doing any Diesel thing.
  5. Totally agree, the rear visibility out of your shoulder checks is terrible.
  6. So True with BMW and then you have what I consider a cardinal sin. MB with making every model look identical from the cheap A series to the S series, other than size, most cannot tell which is which with that mess.
  7. I read this and while I love the CT6, some things still clearly need to be addressed. Yet with that said, I think they also clearly missed issues with the others too. Over all the biggest issue is the CUE and I do wonder when Cadillac will realize that they need to make a drastic change here on that system. I personally have not had the issue with CUE that many here and in other web sites covering the auto industry have had. With that said, I will say that the touch pad sucks, but then they all do and especially for me as it seems they only work about 10% of the time especially on laptops. The day they stop incorporating the little joystick between the GHB keys I will be forced to always have a mouse.
  8. @ccap41 I agree with you that the current product line for me at least still stirs a desire to own the latest version. Now if I can just pay off my son's and Wife's college bills. So glad they are done, then I can get back to enjoying buying auto's. @Cory Wolfe I see your valid point, I do think and agree that Cadillac needs to tweak the A&S design language. They still need to keep certain elements in tack like the vertical LED tail lights as well as a few other attributes, but they do need to tweak it here and there.
  9. By the time the second generation truck comes along, I expect big changes to happen in the US and MB will truly be too late to the party. They are already late if they thought they could sell a truck here. Now they are all but forgotten. On the opposite side of this coin, I think this is a smart move to not bring it here. More and more you read about how MB has watered down their image and many are questioning if they really are a luxury car builder or just another Toyota, FORD, Chevrolet brand type dealer with a few high priced models. This truck would I think have pushed them truly into that image of a larger mass market brand and not the ubber Luxury brand they have fostered over the years. I wonder if this is not playing a part in the current CEO deciding to not bring the truck here.
  10. Interesting that we have not seen Cadillac design language being ripped of or copied by the asians. Guess it is too extreme for their taste.
  11. C&D published the following story about the 70's special edition trucks. Some are just so funny as I never heard or saw them, others are clearly not PC in today's world and others are just funny as heck. What was marketing thinking? A special set of stickers makes the truck better than the default truck of the same package? Some will like certain models just like me. I actually like the GMC Diablo, which really is just an rebadge El Camino. Never knew that the Chevy Luv truck was sold in 77 as a Mighty Mike version, but nothing better other than a 10hp bump in the engine. Seems all the domestic makers went through a clearly Indian theme on blazers, broncos and the trucks with their feather motif. Check it out, pretty surprising on some, meh on others. http://www.caranddriver.com/flipbook/mondo-macho-special-edition-trucks-of-the-70s-k-billys-super-badge-and-stripe-jobs
  12. Agree, GM needs to get the BOLT and VOLT power train into many more auto's.
  13. Time to hit China back, 25% tariff on our stuff, 25% tariff on your Chinese made stuff. Equal fair fees on the product.
  14. I love the body style of the 86,87 Monte Carlo SS. Give is a smooth clean update on the style but not the but ugly FWD appliance that they stuck the name on and with a proper EV powertrain and a decent 100KWh battery pack and you have an awesome daily driver.
  15. Agreed, Yes please to a modern underpinnings in some of the more iconic older auto's. Imagine a 1986 Areo Monte Carlo SS with an EV powertrain. That would rock!
  16. Just found this Lovely, some how I missed that Dodge showed off an awesome EV auto that never made it past concept in 2008. If Dodge had moved forward, they would have had the first mass market EV auto. Too bad FCA could not see the wisdom in building this. http://newatlas.com/chrysler-battery-electric-dodge-zeo-muscle-car/9121/#gallery Gotta Love the Original White Zombie EV!
  17. I would love a 1968 Mustang EV. Zombie 222 You should also check out the 1964 Continental EV in Matte Black. This will also rock the world as an EV. More including a convertible Mustang EV. http://www.zombie222.com/
  18. Damn, I was wondering where both of them had gone. That explains the noise in the background I heard for the first few years. Thanks, that explains allot.
  19. Washington State, Gas average is $2.09 per gallon and Diesel is $2.59. I have seen less and less Diesel on the road.
  20. To be expected, the North American market is all about the CUV/SUV right now. Good thing China is not used to regulations, crash testing, quality, etc. Otherwise they would try to find a way to flood America with their auto's cheaply. Most Chinese auto's are garbage and do not pass regulations in North America or Europe. One reason they are still stuck in their own country.
  21. I am finding that more and more Baby Boomers that had lovely Old Iron is selling them as they need their cash to live. Sad, but some amazing options for those of us that love collector cars.
  22. Is that what you call a Fisting Boat Anchor, Ying-Yang? I always thought it was a worthless Gochu! Not sure what the word is, look up in Korean language. The Socialist culture of Italy is their doom. Italy has many fine things but also builds a ton of crap products. Way too many lazy people building crappy products.
  23. Even with Cheap Gas, Diesel still is much higher than Gas. Smart move to drop Diesels.
  24. These are too funny!
