  1. @loki Please explain what we do not get, you asked for everyone's input, we gave you ours. How do we not get it? You have a product, that product does not work well on Linux, Windows, what ever you want to run on it and it causes more time spent troubleshooting than just working. How is going with a platform that just works with minimal driver issues / quality issues ends in us not getting it. Please enlighten us!
  2. People wanting to be in the jones jones race of upping their friends by one will lease to get into a higher level auto than to accept that they can only really afford X. This will cause a bigger increase in debt and in lower residuals plus a glut once these low miled used auto's hit the market. In 2-3 years I expect another auto correction of poor sales and a flood of auto's on the market.
  3. @ocnblu Maybe it is so those in the back can play pranks on those riding in the front.
  4. Seattle if you park without paying it is $89 dollar fine. Park without paying and leave it overnight, $259 fine and you have to call the PoPo to come unlock your ride. Seattle has decided everyone needs to ride mass transit or a bike and as such has reduced greatly the number of parking spots on the streets forcing people to use the expensive $45 a day parking lots or just not come into the city. Lucky for me, the company I work for pays for my monthly bus pass and I can get in and out on express buses to the north end. Minimizing my time in a idiot run city.
  5. Sadly the EV Fleet web site is sparse on additional info. I spent hours going over all their news releases and links to info to get what I posted here. Will once I get my honey do list done today come back and see if I can find more info. EV Fleet truck is not the best looking, but seems to hit a number of right numbers for use by many that really do not need a full size or HD truck.
  6. Cadillac needs ot force the dealers to update or close as I have yet to see any really nice dealers compared to the competition. I agree with you that the Buicks are so nice and quiet.
  7. Wonder if they will up the figures on the diesel as they fine tune the programing. A hybrid system aka using the Volt system in a truck would be cool also.
  8. The truck with the solar panels in the bed area was actually to show off that they had a solar option to enhance range. If you get the truck with a hauling box on back and add the solar panels on top you gain 40 miles more range depending on use case. At least the solar options could go to running heater or cooling of the cab without affecting the battery range.
  9. Have to say the more I have read on this the more I love this truck. The T-Rex can be ordered with a turbo diesel or petro, but why when you can get the 100kWh battery pack for up to 200+ mile range and outlets allowing you to connect and use tools of 10-30 amp capacity. I love the Crewcab truck. Bremach-T-Rex.pdf
  10. I hope they incorporate this concept interior into the cadillacs, but as far as exterior goes, FAILURE all the way. I hope nothing of this exterior gets into current cadillacs.
  11. I will be honest that I have never been a fan of AMD. I have tried them multiple times and no matter the OS, the experiance has been one of hell. I agree with FapTurbo, save up and buy Intel. Costco has some great deals on DELL and other company desktops. I love the number of desktops with 32 and 64gb of ram. Really allows the OS to fly along with the rest of your programs.
  12. @ccap41You hit the nail on the head and what 99% of the driving population really wants and needs. Torque that gets them going quickly so as to not be a hinderance on the roads and torque to keep them going to minimize downshifting at higher speeds so they stay efficient in the 4th, 5th, 6th or what ever final gear they have. EV addresses this totally and for the bulk of drivers, a 200+ EV will take care of almost all their driving needs. Love Tesla and their new 100kWh battery pack, 315 miles is sweet, I can see us breaking the 400 mile range battery pack by the end of 2017.
  13. Not bad, very cool custom van, someone can finish it up and have a bad ass ride 6x6. lol
  14. Very small differences but differences still. I hope the press does not go crazy on calling it a rebadge which it is, but still good to have a global car that can sell well everywhere.
  15. ^ +1 on total agreement about the HP claims. Torque the real motivator.
  16. BMW started their ReachNow program, a car sharing program that uses Mini Coopers and BMW i3 cars. Seattle was one of the first 6 cities they started in. Guess unlike their competition Zip cars and Car 2 Go that has properly setup for long term parking all over the city, ReachNow has not and as such got booted overnight by the Seattle Police. Sucks to be the next renter trying to use the car.
  17. Being a below 7 second 0-60 MPH or 0-100 KPH auto should make this very exciting.
  18. So the BOLT being an under 7 second 0-60 car should rock everyone's world!
  19. Very interesting, surprised by some of the GM divisions ratings, but more surprised by how well GMC has done.
  20. Great that the dealerships are being taken care of finally. I just hope that the Gov forces VW to do all the EV work on industry standard connections and not some proprietary charging setup. We know they are going to have to spend millions to build out charging points around the US and build EV auto's. Lets just hope they follow the rest of the auto industry with standardized plugs, charging, etc.
  21. My Choice is about 400 lbs of Torque on an electrified auto.
  22. G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.CheersandGears.com EV Trucks, What are your options? Last week, Ellen Musk, CEO of Tesla start his normal dog n pony show about his company and the future and touched on Semi Trucks and an electric pickup. While there has been plenty of photo shopped images of a tesla pickup, this made me think about what are the current EV options for pickup trucks today on American roads? We will start with one of many startups that is now in production. EV Fleet has started production of their 100 mile range pickup. Considered to be one of the best in slipping through the air. EV Fleet has a multitude of options from a basic cab only truck for full customization to normal pickups and box'd versions and even a Solar option that during the day can add up to 40 miles to the range of the truck. The companies focus is on inner city use by companies and city government. The EV Fleet Pickup has a 1000lb capacity payload if you go with the normal bed. 100 mile range on their current battery pack with a .026 coefficient of drag. EV Fleet web site Bremach Motors USA takes a totally off road MOG inspired approach to the EV Truck and has one of the most usable battery packs. The T-Rex as they call it is a serious EV Pickup Truck. 6000lb carrying capacity in a 4x4 platform with a 100kWh battery pack that gives a solid 200 mile range while offering 10-30 amp outlets for powering your tools too. 200hp / 400 lbs of torque Bremach Motors USA web site Smith Electric has taken an interesting approach on focusing on the delivery business in cities and has customers like Coke, Frito Lays, Staples, as well as building pure EV transportation for companies that have their own private fleet of people haulers. Smith electric which is more known internationally than in the US just signed an agreement with FDG Electric Vehicles out of China to design and build for the US market light and medium duty trucks for the US market. Smith Electric web site Another company that has taken on a niche market is OrangeEV, a company focused on pure electric EV Terminal trucks. These are trucks that move containers around the yard. OrangeEV web site The final company is not a pure EV truck, but a Hybrid that has been around for a long time. Giving you 40 miles of pure electric and a total of 400 plus miles with the VIA motors has been making hybrid trucks and SUVs for years, but their current push is to move cities into buying their conversion trucks to go greener and still maintain distance. VIA Motors web site No matter if you like, love or hate electrification, I suspect that EVs are here to stay. Having both plug-in hybrids like what is offered by VIA or pure electric like what is offered by EV Fleet or Bremach Motors. There is something for everyone. What do you think of these early options for electrification of trucks?
  23. @William Maley Thanks for posting that and what you think they could be. That would be interesting if it is a removable entertainment system.
  24. That is a nice looking CUV, reminds me of the Ford Flex. Any idea what those funky white bar things could be on the back of the front seats?
