Was thinking of you guys watching the ABC Frankenstorm tm report. My prayers are with you and will look for updates as power health & time allow. I'm on the outer western edge of impact and it will just be 3-4" of rain with strong breezes.
  4. Batteries emit explosive gasses, I'm suprised this happened in the lab.

  15. Kill joy on the price and that opening remark about the OPERA WINDOWS ON TOP?????????????? Also why was the engine in need of rebuilding at 13K mi? I think that Camino's on the right track on the mileage
  16. dfelt why would you want the weight of the drive motors in the wheels? the weight of the car is already on them but if you put the motor weight in the unsprung weight then you have to dampen that weight and the car will handle like crap. The ball joints will wear I'd think torque steer would be greater ect... C/F wheels may negate some of those problems but I don'tsee this for quite some time down the road.
  17. clap
  18. Fiat held the diesel carrot to GM's nose once and that "put" bit it off and IIRC GM didn't get anything in return. Does Peugeot have any upgraded "read modern" diesels in their arsenal? Something that would be worth the risk? I haven't followed Peugeot but I don't remember hearing ANYTHING of their engines and that's what would get me reading about them if anything would. I hear more from Yanmar & Kubota though not the same league they've updated their lines in the mini size sub 1.5 L to meet emissions and they're almost grenade proof.
  19. Dealers IDK, but name value
  20. I too will be looking for the article
  21. Well moms 77 Caprice estate sans wood had one, they were offered corporate wide and badged appropriately
  22. Soooooooo true Cubi
  23. Please excuse my aged brain I'll blame it on some timers again Point 1 correct solid rear axle but rear coils with air lift unlike the X's leaf springs& add rear disc brakes 2 years latter While given a K frame designation it was hugely based on X even had the front half of the Nova's roof stamping and didn't change the axle bolt circle till next year.
  24. Door edge guards may or not have been options on a Caddy were on Chevys
  25. Was just reading a M/T or Car&Driver from last year preceding Geneva auto show and they had a small article on Cars with health options and they had an e class IIRC with a back 1/2 in tow for funerals. Rather odd, but I think it was tongue in cheek.
