  1. Oh okay I understand what you are saying. Thanks for making things clearer, ever since Pontiac got the ax I haven't been myself.
  2. Camino I have to give you this the things you want in car haven't changed at all. GM has, in the fact that they killed your ST and now Pontiac. Your Firehawk was rare for sure but I hate to be a smart-a$$ but they sold plenty of Firebirds/Trans Ams in '02 that year tho. So why would an SLP or SMS Camaro SS be any different just wondering?
  3. I am sure that didn't help, and things were floating around the net the previous week as well tho.
  4. Important selling point indeed, I assume the GMC will be rated the same? It will be huge step foward from the first Theta which was an even bigger step foward from the Tracker. They need to market the $h! out of these, hopefully GM can win some customers back in this important segment. Still happy with my selection of a Pontiac tho. :AH-HA_wink:
  5. That will be another sad day. I get the four "big" ones, but have the strongest distaste for M/T. Glad they gave the Caddy 1st.
  6. Could have been worse. Pontiac took a beating not good I am sure the fact that everyone knows they are cutting the brand doesn't help either.
  7. I got mine last Saturday, I thought about scanning it. All it did was piss me and the wife off more.
  8. Used pre-owned GM car next. After that my son or I will be snagging a 5th gen Camaro SS in the 2012ish time frame. Unless Pontiac stays around due to a sale of the brand and they have a 400 horse RWD muscle coupe in the line-up. After likely if GM is around a Malibu or something, but that is so far down the road I might have to get a Ford. (Hell maybe Honda, and when gm4life is says this you know it is a SAD A$$ day.)
  9. I was fear that too. Nothing would make me happier aside of GM keep Pontiac, than to let Pontiac go free. Maybe I could stop buying GM cars and just get Pontiac's now that would make my day. Provided they have a 400 horse V8 powered RWD coupe in the mix!
  10. Ahhh MT I am almost ready to cancel them. Car and Driver but the Camaro in first FYI in the June issue.
  11. Daryl I am right with you.
  12. The red mirrors look really nice BV!
  13. Silver G8 GXP and it sounded great... I gave the driver a 55ish year old man a huge thumbs up as I was driving by in the SLE, he smiled and said nice Bonneville too!
  14. So they will sell Saturn but not Pontiac? I don't get it.
  15. GM is stupid, if they don't let Pontiac free. Yet they will let Saturn and Hummer go... I don't get it, I think GM might need the money and the workers need the jobs.
  16. We might actually be getting somewhere. I think GM should give the government back its money and start with some good plans for the future. I would love to see Olds come back too.
  17. I would love to see this too, more like what GM had back in the day. You know when Pontiac actually made a their own motors. GM could give all their brands some freedom, but keep the "under GM".
  18. That is exactly why I would let him run the company, or at least play a role in it.
  19. Well Croc certainly brings up an interesting point. I personally would love to see Pontiac stay with GM and get the product portfolio they deserve, that won't happen (at least not likely) short of that letting Pontiac go free is a great idea. Or the other option death, GM said they wanted them dead and now that someone wants them, will GM want them back now? Because someone has realized Pontiac's value could GM get smart and give Pontiac the product line-up they deserve? I am doubitng it, so short of GM doing what is right by them, this seems to be a great idea and something GM should seriously consider. It would help a state in need of jobs ALOT. I see lots of potential and with some good marketing and smart people you might have something. I would love to see them hire Jim Wangers, and put some American's back to work without a Union. Is it a pipe dream sure, but could it happen, why not. So GM will sell Saturn or Hummer but not Pontiac? That makes alot of sense, I just hope GM lets Pontiac go or gives them the line-up and chance they deserve.
  20. I wasn't talking about you, but some people on this forum who for some reason or another have kept "dumping" on Pontiac. That is what upsets me. Hell General Motors upsets me. I think GM should take whatever kind of MONEY they can get for Pontiac and let them go free. That would make my day, is GM honestly that stupid not to take the money they badly need and run? If someone that actually cared about Pontiac could run them, alot of good things for this country could happen. No wildcat I understand you and know you respect all GM brands, it wasn't directed at you, but to the people who couldn't wait to rush over and piss on Pontiac's grave.
  21. GM did blow it. What IF the dealers could get GM to sell Pontiac, and you could get a guy like Wangers to help out and manage it? You might have something there. GM has no good reason to call the G8 the G8 when it could have been Bonneville or Grand Prix. Same went for the G6 when it could have been Grand Am.
  22. Amen. Camino I agree with on this, you have alot of good ideas. Something some of these so called GM "fans" on here don't have or don't care to have. They just enjoy pissing on PMD, and GM in general. I thought this was supposed to be a GM Fan site, not a haters site.
  23. That was not a good month for them. GM and Ford did pretty well though, I am happily suprised.
