  1. I would have killed the illegal then. As for the Camaro, I would kill whomever hit it.
  2. I will cheer it on and hope it does well for GM. It will be cold day in hell when I can't get a car with a "real" motor. So no Volt for me, until I have no choice, and then I'll buy used. A new Camaro SS or maybe if Pontiac gets set free by GM another one... After that who knows, maybe I'll just go Ford, unless GM gets their $h! straight.
  3. If Buick gets big enough that dealer, maybe okay. Hell all the BPG dealers without Pontiac will hurt. I can't even think about selling just Buick and GMC products.
  4. Exactly, I would think some of the dealer people around here would.
  5. I would think someone on here would glady do it for the man. I wouldn't want to spend 30 or 40 bucks either.
  6. Interesting indeed, I hope someone around here can figure that out with the 1LT 3.5 V6, because I can't and now I wanna know. The only I have seen the 3.5 is 1LS as well, and never on dealer lot, so can they order them like that?
  7. Okay well a local Chevy dealer whom is known for his invoice - rebates pricing. Who has a HUGE inventory of Chevrolet's has a few very special Malibu's out of his fleet of 28. I have come across a 2009 Malibu 1LT with a 3.5L V6! What is the deal here, I thought it was FLEET only, I thought only Avis and such could order these. I didn't know dealers could sell them brand new with FLEX FUEL badging none-the less, easier to tell apart I suppose. Anyways I found it odd and if I were in the market for one, I would have to consider one with the "low tech" 3.5 V6. Anyways anyone have any comments and also he has a loaded 1LT sedan with chrome alloy wheels? I thought 1LT's only came with 17inch fasica spoke wheels? I wonder if you can opt for these on 2LT 4 cylinder models, because I thought you only could get them with the 2LT 3.6L? So what is the deal... I will prove I am not crazy with some links. The funny thing is he has like four of these 1LT's with chrome fasica spoke wheels and 3.5's, I am sure people in my area would love them like that! Not many domestic buyers are fond of 4 cylinders at least not the ones looking for more "basic" midsize cars, around me. With the Impala becoming more of a fleet queen for "traditional" buyers this is not a bad idea. I just found it interesting anyway here are the links... The 1LT's with the Flex Fuel 3.5... 2009 Malibu 1LT White 3.5L V6 2009 Malibu 1LT Silver 3.5L V6 2009 Malibu 1LT Black 3.5L V6 #1 2009 Malibu 1LT Black 3.5L V6 #2 The odd-ball 1LT with 4 cylinder and six speed auto with 18 inch chrome alloy wheels... 2009 Malibu 1LT 2.4 with Chrome Alloy Wheels So can anyone shed some light on this? Chevy has a sweet new site where you can download wallpaper size photos and you cannot build a 1LT 3.5! On a side note a 1LT 3.5L V6 with the chrome alloy wheels would be pretty nice actually.
  8. Awww man I was getting my hopes up, because the interior shot of him looked real.
  9. I really don't care what the Pontiac haters say, they got what they wanted Pontiac is gone. I find the HHR to be a fine vehicle, but I think it is rather ummm lets say odd looking. Not ugly just odd. Given the option of my wife loving a 2 door Poncho Coupe even if it is a Cobalt rebadge or a station wagon I would run with the Pontiac and not look back. Also you know me I am EXTREMELY fond of Pontiac's and personally would much rather have the G5 GT than an HHR. Plus the G5 could be a collectors item. I would go with the G5 after all females are always right. (Well most of the time, right?) As for the G8 you know my thoughts on that even a six cylinder G8 would be way better than the G5 GT and worlds better than an HHR. It still has RWD and 256hp after all, and with 18inch wheels it can look good while smoking the tires.
  10. My question being is that really him with his shirt off? And is that really his Trans Am? Because it is coming from the Onion after-all.
  11. I always liked those two-tone seats. As far the car its looks pretty good, I must admit I like your Dodge and its color more tho DF.
  12. Buick has to build nice performing affordable luxury. As for filing Pontiac's shoes don't bother Chevy will do a better job of that than Buick, hate to say it. The only thing Buick could do is a Zeta GNX with a turbo 3.6L DOHC DI V6, that is all. (Sure thats a dream...) Part of the reason folks buy Pontiac's is because of what they stand for and there heritage, Buick doesn't have the same kind of history, sorry.
  13. I beg you go with the Pontiac. You will love it. I have ridden in a 2006 Cobalt SS with the 2.4 and found it to be a really nice car. Interior was pretty well put together, ride was nice, not to soft or hard. My friend loved the handling and the crisp 5spd, he asked what he should get and said a non-supercharged Cobalt SS and he did. He had at it for 3 years and but 25,000 on her and just loves it. He has had good luck with it also. I think personally you would be nuts to get an HHR 2LT over the G5 GT with a 2.2L DOHC VVT Ecotec and 155hp performance should be pretty darn good, and fuel economy even better. Plus its a Pontiac has a great front end and sweet rims!
  14. Sounds more and more like a fleet queen. Call it a classic and be done with it already. Only offer LS and 1LT trim. The logo on the c-pillar is one of the best parts about the car my '01 even has it. Remind me why are they bothering to do this to it? As for the SS trim that REALLY sucks, big time. At least it had the right number or cylinders in it.
  15. Well at least HE HAS a nice car.
  16. Glad you got out too. I hope this whats best for GM and I am really confused and getting lost in this, and I am educated person. (Well some would argue that...) Anyways so in the simplest terms does this mean the US and UAW own more of GM, than share-holders etc?
  17. Those mirror caps really dress it up.
  18. I agree, but the MCE on it helps alot. A friend of my sons whom he goes to college with is considering getting one before they go away. He really likes them alot and is willing to pull his new car purchase ahead so he can get another Pontiac because he likes them. Currently he has a Richard Petty Blue '95 Grand Prix SE Coupe with a 3.1 V6 and loves it, with a 125K on it and she runs like a top.
  19. Well as sad as I am, I really kind-of have to agree with you.
  20. I hope you are right, but American's aren't smart enough I don't think. They certainly deserve it. Good for the Accord, Fusion, as well as those great Chevy's.
  21. I figured 2010 would be the end for the DTS, I will miss it too Von. I always had a soft spot for extra large luxo FWD barges.
  22. Great write up and photos!
  23. Okay so they will sell Saturn and not Pontiac? How dumb is GM?
  24. Thats GM for you FOG. We know how they opperate.
  25. Oh okay I understand what you are saying. Thanks for making things clearer, ever since Pontiac got the ax I haven't been myself.
