  1. Do you think we will have a GM left? Actually I agree with some of what he says, that is scary.
  2. At least it is RWD.
  3. I have narrowed it down to just three... Make your selection, and give any input you would like.
  4. Okay, okay most of the time.
  5. Well I am calling this Saturday about it. I am almost postive, you guys have helped "nudge" me along. Now should I make my offer or just "ask" about the car?
  6. Well if true you'll be able to pick 'em up cheap... I like Pontiac cars too, if you have good luck with something you want another. Pontiac to me has always been a better looking and sportier Chevrolet.
  7. Oh I think GM will survive but it will be Chevrolet and Cadillac in the US, Buick in China and Holden in the land down under etc.
  8. Well Edmunds put Dealer Retail Value at 7,900 and Private Party at 6,500. I think 7,000 would be a fair offer.
  9. Government never should have had that power. GM's board should have done that. That was the problem.
  10. I think it is all GM's fault for taking the government money. Having said that big government hasn't helped GM.
  11. Well NADA is always HIGH and I find KBB to be more realistic and in line with what a smart consumer should pay.
  12. It is here too, but this makes it very clear that nothing offical has been said. Well I have come to accept it but this what you get when you take government money. Autoblog Pontiac to be dead on Monday
  13. Well I'll hope for the best. I will not let this go down without a fight or a letter or two.
  14. Then I am not liking what I am hearing. Having said that Edmunds has been known to "screw up" more than once. I refuse to believe this till it is confirmed. GM getting rid of Pontiac would be a HUGE mistake, the image still resonates with many people. I bet in this annoucement or whatever they are calling it will tell us Opel is gone.
  15. NADA has trade in at 7,100 and KBB has dealer retail at 7,105... So I would say I am being very fair. Having said that NADA has the car being worth 8,900 from a dealer, I am saying no way would anyone pay that. I will never pay more than retail!
  16. Do you really think they are gone? Or will they become a "niche" brand?
  17. Yeah its just I won't have enough time to actually pick it up, for another month and a half... I just don't want to call now and get a price I will pay when I could have waited another few weeks and got an even better price, also that would be closer to the time I actually could make the trip to get the car. Hmmm, maybe I should start praying... Also I haven't really discussed this with the other half much yet, but uhh my daughter will be thrilled she will have a car (Impala) and my son will because now he has a Pontiac again! Although it has been on sale for about a month, are most people by that point ready to get rid of stuff? Also 7,000 is KBB Retail Value and I will not go any higher maybe 7,100! So a question is that a decent buy provided its in as good shape and I am pretty sure its in? I have seen 7,500 on one near me with 50K and cloth seats but it was an 02 GT Coupe. Now for an extra 3 grand I could have had a new and slow Korean $h!box. :AH-HA_wink: I guess I'll have to teach my son stick with the Camaro he or I will get someday.
  18. Yeah I would like the NA 5 + Holden idea, if this helps secure GM's future go ahead. Now Pontiac could actually get some Holdens! Hmm good could come of this...
  19. I am more of medium rare, rare is just too much for me.
  20. You think? Maybe I will BV but I cannot go pick it up or inspect it for a while... That is my problem, I am worried he won't accept 7K or 7,100 which is Bluebook Retail Value. Hmmm maybe this weekend, if I call though and he knows I am interested, maybe he won't give as much on price... That is the worry.
  21. I don't like Opel trust me, but what about all the great platforms Ep I, Ep II and all the great things we get from GME. Like the new Malibu in such, I could care less about Opel but don't want to loose all the good technology along with it. I guess my fear is and someone please chime in is GM will loose lots of innovative things that came from Opel and have an even harder time trying to keep up with Japan Inc, (I am speaking only of volume FWD'ers). So Camino, DF and any of you that understand it better than me will it really hurt them? Hurt there volume FWD products the Malibu, LaX, G6 etc? And the up coming Chevy Cruze? Personally I think Opel gone is great, but good things for GMNA have come from Opel... So it is good or bad?
