  1. I just wish they would have kept the G8 and Solstice. The more I think about it they were the cars that Pontiac needed, and even though it's still hard to believe I just don't understand the reasoning behind axing something that was just starting to get good again.
  2. Yea I mean even if they make nothing anymore you like, its just hard to move on because you have supported them for so long.
  3. IDK about you but for me it's just hard to wake up one day and say "Oh well I give up on General Motors Im going to buy a Ford"
  4. THANK GOD! Eat those imports up baby! ^ Got to agree with that too.
  5. You could always focus on the older GM cars that you like, and buy them and restore them or buy them already restored. There will always be something for me from GM even if its from the past, but thats just me.
  6. Oh and call me racist but if they don't like the way we handle our business, then pull out the F-15's and blow their asses back to hell!
  7. Awww poor F*ckin babies! Im tired of this whole damn "Where its made" argument! If its a jap brand made by Americans in friggin Kentucky the money still goes to a JAPANESE company! If its an American brand made by friggin Mexicans in Mexico the money still goes to an AMERICAN company! I know you guys on here know this, and it's common sense, but why the hell can't anyone else get this into their thick skulls!!! By the way I do my part every time I drive past the Toyota dealer and yell F*ck Toyota don't buy their garbage! May be immature, but it makes me feel better.
  8. I just hope GM is still around after this...
  9. I guess the cool thing to do now is buy a Korean piece of $h!! :AH-HA_wink:
  10. [source: Yahoo News] Fiat eyes new company with GM Europe, Chrysler ROME – Fiat Group SpA confirmed Sunday it was in talks to acquire General Motor's European operations with the aim of possibly creating a new company to also include its newly acquired Chrysler automaker. Combined, the new automaker would have euro80 billion ($105 billion) in annual revenues, Fiat said in a statement. Fiat said it was evaluating the possible spinoff of its auto business to form the core of the new company. Fiat Group Automobiles includes the Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Ferrari brands. The statement was issued on the eve of a meeting in Berlin between Fiat Group CEO Sergio Marchionne and the German economy and foreign ministers to discuss Fiat's offer for GM's German unit, Opel. GM Europe also includes the British company Vauxhall and the Swedish carmaker Saab. GM has been trying to find investors for its noncore and unprofitable assets as part of a restructuring in which it has sought billions of dollars in aid from the U.S. government to avert collapse. Opel has said it needs euro3.3 billion ($4.3 billion) to get through the economic crisis. The German government has said it doesn't foresee giving direct state aid. Chancellor Angela Merkel has suggested the government could help an Opel investor with loan guarantees. Fiat said that over the next few weeks, Marchionne will be looking "to assess the viability of a merger of the activities of Fiat Group Automobiles (including the interest in Chrysler) and General Motors Europe into a new company." "As part of this process, the group would evaluate several corporate structures, including the potential spinoff of Fiat Group Automobiles and the subsequent listing of a new company which combines those activities with the activities of General Motors Europe." In an interview Sunday with Corriere della Sera, Fiat Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo called GM's Opel an "ideal partner" and a possible takeover by Fiat an "extraordinary opportunity." Fiat is not the only suitor for Opel, however. Last week, Canadian car parts maker Magna International Inc. presented German Economy Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg with what the minister called a "rough concept for a commitment with Opel." Guttenberg has said the German government would wait to determine its role in any full or partial Opel sale until after the U.S. government had weighed in. Fiat, meanwhile, has pressed ahead with a takeover of Chrysler, with attorneys for the U.S. auto manufacturer saying the company would file a motion to sell substantially all of its assets to the Italian automaker. In addition to Fiat Group Automobiles, the Fiat Group also includes its agricultural vehicles branch CNH and its Iveco trucking unit, as well as a media arm.
  11. Thats what I am. I don't mind going to work at all as long as I can somehow manage to get what I want. I have a brand new pickup and a Z28 at 21 years old so I can't complain at all!
  12. I had a set of slotted rotors from Powerslot on my 05 Silverado that had a white coating on them. They were coated all over except where the pads hit the rotor. It was a nice thing because they never rusted.
  13. This must be why GM is afraid to file. Once someone does it they automatically become worthless? Id still consider buying a Chrysler car even though they filed bankruptcy. Same goes for GM or even Ford if it would have happened to them. I know id still buy a GM, never had a major problem with any of their vehicles so Im not afraid to buy one.
  14. I saw one of those yesterday, and I think you have to be tasteless to drive one of those.
  15. Well, I was going to get a new Camaro, but decided for the price I could get an 09 Silverado instead so I did. I need a truck anyway for hauling wood and three fourwheelers, and driving in the snow. The GF (were engaged) now for her weve been looking at the new Malibu, Avenger, Focus, and certain things from Suzuki.
  16. Buddy had one of these, and traded it because it was too hard on fuel. Guy down the road from me has a red one, has 30,000 miles on it and it threw the rod out the block and Dodge won't cover it. Two brothers I know own a monument business (Foster Monuments) bought one had nothing, but trouble with it and Dodge won't do anything about it. Guy my dad hauls loads for has an older one from around the late 90's all he does is replace things on it every week (probably mainly because he has it suped up). Dad had a Kenworth T-600 with a Cummins in it and that was the biggest heaping pile of a motor Ive ever seen in my life! lol Real nice trucks, but if it had a Cummins in it I would be scared to buy one. I wish CAT would put there motor in a truck, that would be a truck I would consider.
  17. Just don't understand GM anymore......
  18. If GM is this freakin scared to do anything they might as well close their doors because their cars will become just as boring as everyone elses! This gas guzzler tax is a bunch of horse$h! too!

  20. Yea those. The Charger wheels look good too! Thats a hard choice Dodge makes alot of nice wheels.
  21. I like the first wheel and the Caliper SRT4 Wheel. That one type of wheel on the new Avenger would look good too.
  22. Now that would be the easy way to do it. See the politicans couldn't waste our money if they did it that way.
