  1. Raw video footage of a Formula D practice run featuring Ken Gushi in his GReddy Racing Scion FRS against Tyler McQuarrie. Check it out here: http://blog.rvinyl.com/2015/05/15/racingfriday-ken-gushi-door-vs-tyler-mcquarrie/
  2. Happy Mother’s Day everyone! We hope you’re all either with your moms, on your way there or plan to give them a call shortly. Whatever you end up doing today though, don’t do what this lady does when her parking space is stolen but an apparently clueless or careless driver of a Honda Element. See the full video here
  3. Makes me nervous for any number of reasons...quality not being the least.
  4. I don't know if anyone's seen this video and I'm certainly not advocating street racing but it's still pretty cool. I've decided to spend the whole week covering Dodge cars and I have to say I'm more impressed with their offerings than either of the other Big Three. Here's a link to the blog post where you can find the full video: http://blog.rvinyl.com/2015/04/22/stock-hellcat-street-races-tuned-rides-wins/
  5. There's a video I just found and posted here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_f5JhCYq9w&feature=youtu.be As you can see, it shows a GTR smoking a Cummins diesel. Can anyone think of why this is even video worthy? I mean, isn't this what is supposed to happen?
  6. Hey everyone, every Saturday on our blog we've been running a series where we try to find (if not the best) the most interesting video clips and shots of drifting for the week. It's all for fun and we take submissions as well. I thought it might be cool to share here but let me know if you think otherwise. Anyway, check out this weeks clip here: http://blog.rvinyl.com/2015/04/11/driftsaturday-close-up-formula-drift-with-j-castro-racing/
  7. Yeah, I never understand these guys. If you're going to do something so stupid why post it to YouTube after the fact?
  8. Wasn't sure where to post this but I figured under BMW wouldn't be quite right. ANyway, I'm sure you've all seen this video but if not it's a fun way to waste some time. http://youtu.be/KoV9uazWGp0 Here is a link to the post with embedded video if the YouTube link doesn't work for you: http://blog.rvinyl.com/2015/04/09/bmw-m3-e92-versus-the-police-guess-who-wins/
  9. Thanks. Guess I'm just attache to the name...
  10. Sorry to bump the thread but anyone heard if BMW ever intends to revive the 1?
  11. For the first time in a long time I actually like what I see in this new Town Car. I had more or less written Lincoln off but this may change things. I definitely see hints of Maserati and Jaguar so maybe the best is yet to come...
  12. Sorry to bump the thread but the list makes no sense...good post though.
  13. I was thinking deals in general from other automotive accessories and parts companies.
  14. My apologies but I'm not sure where to post this so please feel free to move it to classifieds if need be. Anyway, I would like to have a place to share coupons not just to our own site but to other automotive parts and accessories sites as well. If there are no objections I'll post the sale we're running today and keep up with the posting as I find more and we add new sales.
  15. I just read that Dodge was to become the new FCA performance marque here: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...-srt?fbfanpage Anyone else hear this? I tried searching the forum but didn't get any results.
  16. If it is well sealed it will prevent it but the application surface would need to be pretty well cleaned for it to apply well anyway.
  17. Believe it or not I get the question of just how much vinyl it would take to wrap an entire car sometimes. In so many ways I think it would be easier to just have your car painted but, since I'm in the business of vinyl, I felt compelled to figure it out. I wrote up the following article a few years back and have just updated it on our site here: https://www.rvinyl.com/DIY-Wrap-Buying-Guide.html So, if you're really interested in finding out how many yards you need for an average, USDM sedan please read on.
  18. Yep. It sucks and there certainly isn't much we can do to fight the powers that be although I commend you on your filing of complaints. Just take a look at the rash of YouTube videos coming out lately showing cops blatantly abusing their power. Anyway, I hope the article helps somewhat.
  19. Any of you who have been following my blog posts will know that we recently discussed the meaning of tint percentages in terms of VLT and darkness. This is an important topic for consideration not just for aesthetic reasons (i.e., you want your car to have a dark enough tint to look good) but for legal issues as well (you dont want you tints to get you a ticket). In my last post I tried to point out that the legal limit for tint percentages varies from state to state so it is always important for you to check with your local authorities to be sure that your tint falls within the acceptable range. One great way to be sure you are in compliance with state laws is to check websites like TintLaws.com or TintDude.com. Check out the latest post on window tint legality here: http://www.rvinyl.com/window-tint-legality.html
  20. Okay, as I was browsing the interwebs I happened upon something that blew my mind: degree programs and courses in aftermarket automotive accessories! Here I am with BAs in Philosophy and Italina Literature when I could have gone for this instead: http://www.northwood.edu/flash/aftermarket/ And, surprisingly, Northwood isn't the only school to offer these kinds of courses. There are a few others such as the course offerd by Stark State as well (see here: http://www.starkstate.edu/automotive-aftermarket) and it seems that these are actually specifically involved with teaching you the elements of installation and theory. Anyway, has anyone heard of these or had any experience with them?
  21. Yeah, doesn't seem like a winning strategy and reeks of desperation. Anyone know what the core thrust of the "art and science" philosophy really is?
  22. This is a little late in coming but seems relevant to the discussion: http://www.carscoops.com/2014/04/cadillac-paying-us-drivers-100-to-take.html
  23. Yeah, I kinda figured but, hey, you never know.
