    We never got the the Pontiac GTO up here in Canada. So...for me... Ill take a Monaro CV8/Pontiac GTO with the LS2... Pictured below is a Vauxhaul VXR...Id be happy with this version too...supercharged LS2 @ 500 horsepower/500 ft. lbs torque The 500/500 club seems to be more rare for a sporty coupe, even by today's standards. The 400/400 club is a dime a dozen... So...in retrospect, Id take Vauxhaul VXR instead... Hmmmmmmm..... Yes... Yes...Im sure. But in LHD...a-and the Vauxhaul badges and fascias remain...

    Yeah...I was just clicking randomly on the mouse, for fun I guess ..when the pointer drifted on the voting box thingy... I was trying to find an explanation why manufacturers grow their cars bigger and bigger...and came up with a theory, then I realized all that I was saying was just...jibber jabber I have no clue as to why they do... CCAP's explanation IS the best..."its just how it goes" I prefer to use the cliché that I ALWAYS use outside of the internets...It is what it is! (high lighted in blue and silver..just to kick off the 2015 NFL Football Season!)

    Its a far cry? Not really...its much closer than you think...its just that you have blinders on... Its OK...Ive stated my case...there is no use in continuing because you just have a set agenda and you ALWAYS stick to it...     about independent rear suspension I gather...your post is referring to? And yeah, I agree. And Chevy/Cadillac engineers have done the most they could have with the rear suspension of a BOF truck... The reason why I say that...its because...its a BOF truck that weighs 5000 lbs or so...and handling...up until now, was not an issue to be addressed as handling was not a quality that GM nor its customers of these behemoths were asking...

    I ran out of time so this post is in conjuction to the post I made above... I think GM with GM performance parts and Chevy with the Police Vehicle Programs and Corvette and Camaro Racing Programs along with Cadillac engineering technologies such as magnetic shocks and the like...I wouldnt worry too much about an Escalade V handling all that V8 power... The Police Pack Tahoe seems to have gotten the handling down pat... Let us not forget that it was GM and Cadillac that developed the Presidential Beast...this one and the next generation... and that the Beast is on a HEAVIER DUTIER Truck platform...and I betcha that the Presidential Beast handles the twisties...like a Beast...not too mention all the CIA Suburbans that go along with it...

    Are we seriously arguing what a bonafide BOF truck platform can and cannot do with high speeds and cornering? Seriously...that is some effed up shyte... And Im the first to say WTF regarding high center of gravity SUVs and manufacturers turning them into speeding freight trains... However...SMK...I wouldnt UNDERestimate if I were you...its not as if GM/Chevrolet havent done something similar before where they could learn how to do a 'Slade V properly...to handle the speed and the cornering... I WILL SAY THIS THOUGH...MAYBE THIS IS WHERE INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSION COMES IN HANDY...but that quibble is meant for another poster...just enjoy the vids...

    Ill agree that the name Malibu is NOT damaged goods... The late 1990s-mid 2000s Malibus are not bad vehicles, ugly exterior and cheap materials inside aside, they were not disaster vehicles like the Hyundai Sonata you mentioned...and quite honestly...this model Malibu is an honestly handsome car that quickly changed the minds of many wiith its chic styling and very nicely appointed interior as opposed the generation before it... THAT Malibu restored any bad perceptions the Malibu name plate may have had on a dime...and the momentum Chevy has in this segment is because of that Malibu's effort... The last 2 generations...there really is NOTHING bad to talk about...only that the rear seating area is not fit for family haulin' duties...the raison d'etre of this vehicle in this segment...but the Equinox takes care of that...and the Chevy Trax...and low and behold...all cars in the segment are giving way to CUVs anyway.. This next generation Malibu...in my opinion, will soldier on and be a successful hit along the same lines as the 2008-2012 model...but it may not garner any sales topping charts NOT because the CamCord are what people are choosing over the Malibu...but because not only will people be choosing the next generation Equinox over the Malibu...but the next generation Equinox will be the people's choice over a CRV and RAV 4... In other words.. the midsized CUV will be the next bread and butter midsized family haulin' segment battleground and .the next generation Equinox is gonna be that vehicle to put Chevy on top of the sales chart...

    And THAT is another reason why I hate downvotes... A discussion and/or arguments are had because of OPPOSING opinions...its NATURAL to PHILOSOPHIZE these differences...and to come to some sort of conclusion or middle ground... Like you said...if you cant do that...why are you even here???!!! PS: I dont mind the downvotes...I WANT the downvotes to remain...but I want explanations as to why the downvotes... PSS: Ive trolled in the past regarding downvoting...as I explained....but as you see...I AINT afraid to REVEAL the REASONS why I DOWNVOTED!!! And with a certain poster...it was all about the childish trolling... I dont downvote as much anymore...there is no need...because Id rather just explain to you why I dont agree with you...I havent come across a post that REALLY desreves a downvote though...but trust me...if I downvote you...it WILL come with an explanation...

The thing is...IT WAS A SINCERE POST ABOUT THE TRUTH of WHAT I DID... HONESTY does NOT garner ANY respect? Just that this person does not like the fact that I downvoted a certain poster in the recent past... Doesnt THAT put the person that downvoted me for THIS post in the same category as his downvoted logic? Or is it because this person does not like to discuss things because THAT was the other aprt of the message I made...     I dont like downvotes if one is gonna downvote without actually explaining to the poster why he/she downvoted... I know it aint "mandatory", but to me its childish when someone downvotes...by demonstrating he/she doest like this post...but offers no reasons as to why... I equate that as modern society self importance...as a spoiled brat society whining all the time to get their way...stomping their feet...and throwing hissy fits...and I do mean the adults...not the toddlers... This is what I mean Downvoting poster: (in a whiny voice) "I dont like what you said" , (in an even more whinier voice but in a condescending kinda way as well) "so Im gonna down vote you" TSK TSK TSK!!!     I was born in 1973... So Malibu for me is a sucky nameplate... This is my first memory of a Malibu... and although I always thought they looked cool... THIS is the model I will ALWAYS associate Malibu with... Ugly and cheap. This was a cheap and smaller knock-off of bigger brother Caprice/Bel Air/Impala... The square boxy look of the B-Body looked handsome and chic...this looked clumsy. and then no more Malibu...I learned about the Chevelle/Malibu of mid 1960s muscle car fame and was quite excited by the nameplate...only to be disappointed again with the arrival of this mess... Only to have a badge engineered Cutlass spoil it some more for me for that platform and the name Malibu...because I never once believed this was an "Oldsmobile Cutlass"... Plus...knowing that the Alero/Grand Am was on that same but improved platform and were much much better cars...the Malibu name plate just continued to leave me with a sour taste in my mouth... And then this one comes along and its like WTF???!!! But the last three iterations are not bad...but they arent great...albeit a helluva lot better than every single Malibu since 1978... This new one promises to be a looker and a better car all around including quality, fit and finish and performance in handling, acceleration and driving enthusiasm... So for me...although the nameplate is just crap in my eyes...I dont see a negative if GM/Chevy wants to use it...its a good nameplate...it fits Chevrolet...(and not because its a crappy nameplate therfore Chevrolet is crappy...if that is what you folk understood...its a good nameplate because Malibu is a nice honest name about a nice honest place that befits a nice honest car company...)

    OK...I think I got it...because I dont do trucks...so bare with me... Take this exact same truck...powertrain and looks...(yes....SRT-10 ) But we use the Quad Cab and we make it into an Avalanche...we keep the Ram's V10, hood, front clip, headlights and front fenders, and we mate that unto a Chevy Avalanche GMT 900 body.... Frame? Whatever frame is better suited to accommodate that V10... With Ford F150 aluminium panels...for lighter weight...to go even faster... There...I took traits from all three Domestic trucks...and Im quite happy with the result... (that is me being all smug about it!)

    I remember a Honda Civic when it was sooooo small, it would have probably fit between the front and back wheels of this 2016 version. Also, the side profile reminds me of the side profile of a Nissan Maxima And my final thoughts... I never really liked a Honda Civic...ever.

    migration... yeah...its almost that sad time of the year around here where the birds fly south... But...Football and Hockey season is almost here...and THAT alone is worth the leaves changing colour, the ghosts and goblins asking for candy and the birds leaving for a warmer climate. Don't forget half of your fellow Canadians migrating to my neck of the woods (Phoenix, AZ) over the next month or so. Makes the "wonderful" traffic here that much more fun. From what part of Canada? Because Quebecois go to Florida starting from November.

    I was thinking about that....about globalization. In my opinion, the Escalade V seems like a better fit for Dubai and Paris for the XT5. Why? These Middle Eastern guys love their hugely arrogant vehicles that just guzzle that oil of theirs, and an Escalade V is just that... Paris for the XT5... The XT5 ....c'est mignon...its cute...and Europeans like small and cute. But in retrospect...Dubai is just fine...Im just making stupid small talk.

    About the XT5... I wonder why Dubai? Is it because Cadillac thinks the XT5 will make a splash with the rich Sheikh soccer moms? Somehow I dont think the Sheikhs, soccer moms or otherwise will give a damn about the XT5 in Dubai, not when the Bentley Bentayga and the Escalade V are a-coming. I know, I know...exposure. I still think NYC or Detroit or LA would have been a better entrance....maybe even Geneva or Paris ahead of Dubai.

    Stacy's mom has got it goin' on. The problem is that Stacy's mom is actually driving a Mercedes-Benz in the original music video... It dont matter if Cadillac paid money to feature a dark haired Stacy's mom to drive a SRX... The ORIGINAL Stacy's mom is Rachel Hunter driving a Mercedes Benz...possible in Beverly Hills...where else? But she belongs to this guy though...
