  1. Heck, it's pretty damn beautiful even in this condition.
  2. A big differentiator between hackers and salespeople are one is supposedly working to sell to all people and their sales also benefit quite a few people up the line, hackers are either individuals benefitting only themselves (not profiting) for personal reasons or benefitting a small few who're paying them. I have great doubt any of these hackers are working for any company and if they're paid, it's most certainly under the table.
  3. Oh no, it's possible to get a square deal from any salesperson. The issue is the BS they'll put you through, mentioned earlier.
  4. I'd wager a very high percentage of dealerships have at least one complete scumbag salesperson. What complaints, prior to this situation, have there been about the Rivian 'dealer' ?
  5. We do and it all went south with dealerships being scummy as fck. If they weren't scumbags, there never would have been complaints.
  6. No, they're not spamming email, pressuring me to purchase, pressuring to buy add-ons, and they're probably not completely ignorant about the products they're selling. If they were actually selling their products, they could 100% answer questions about their vehicles without some weird runaround. Exactly what I said, but those aren't competitors to Balth, for some reason.
  7. AND they also don't have to deal with scumbag salespeople.
  8. Oh yeah, definitely sketchy.
  9. Funny enough, I also saw this.
  10. While I dislike the i3, at least it feels unique in a good way. While this probably took a lot of engineering hours to get a slippery body, they did it in such a bland and bad way.
  11. That's where I found it, hahaha. This topic was a thread in a group I'm in. I'd also like to point out that I really don't have much of an issue with them raising the prices, even though the hikes were A LOT. The biggest issue was just not honoring the reservations, the ones giving them cash for operations prior to production. Yep, this is going to hurt regardless of "fixing" the mistake.
  12. Seems they’re trying to fix their colossal mistake.
  13. What's much worse than preordering a new vehicle with a deposit to have that price spike 17-20%?
  14. Even if I had the extra cash for such a purchase, I'd be out on principal. Fck a company who does that to their customers.
  15. It looks to be getting slaughtered again today.
  16. So now nothing competes with anything?
  17. They're free to order a Lightning or Silverado EV!
  18. It isn't that at all though because there are still competitors. Ford, GM, Stellantis, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Volvo, etc. are all competitors to Rivian.
  19. Good point, that's fair enough.
  20. This actually makes me wonder what my uncle will do. He was supposed to get his R1T sometime in March. I know money isn't an issue to him but I wonder if this will piss him off and cancel just out of spite. I should reach out to him and see what's up.
  21. Is this much different than dealerships adding the "market adjustment" to vehicles already ordered? I disagree with both tactics, by the way.
  22. It's only been on sale for a few months, I believe. They've probably only sold/built a few hundred, maybe a thousand at this point.
  23. Yeah, this will likely bring it down some. This is atrocious PR. I understand raising prices on new orders but you CANNOT raise prices for those who ordered vehicles a year ago and just still haven't received it yet. Also, when I say I understand raising prices, I DO NOT understand 17% and 20% increases. Like Surreal has said, prices have gone up on about everything in the past few years but vehicles absolutely have not gone up anywhere near that.
  24. It's been in the 50's-60's since Jan 19th. After their initial first-week rally, it's been down for awhile. It peaked at 172 on the 5th trading day, November 16th. Yesterday it did drop 8.36% from 67.56 to 61.91.
